Hallo, this is unoficialll MIUI V5 for Xperia Go based on STOCK JB rom!
First thing that I must to say is "disclaimer":
Everything that is not originally maded by Sony is custom thing, so everything from here is modified Sony files and these files is "custom files"! So before you go to play with these modified files keep in mind that everything from here is custom thing and you installing these things on your own risk! I no want and I will not be responsible if something go wrong, if you lost your private data, if your device can not boot ...etc...etc, you doing everything on your own risk!!! If you no want to risk than skip this thread!!!
Rom is complete but not for daily use! All patches is welcome!
git:
https://github.com/munjeni/miui_v5_lotus
]have some popup messages with error to phone apk
:good:
First impressing after looking through rom-folders is framework-res is "mighty fat". Its nearly double-sized than stock ones.
I have no time to check framework-res because I need to fix smali bugs which prevent first "stable" screen. If some one want to contribute and fix remaining bugs, here is temp folder -> http://munjeni.homeunix.com/temp after initial patchings so we need to look into reject folder and fix remaining smalis to get rom working! If some one patched (and tested) something please attach it here (only working things!) !
My git is here -> https://github.com/munjeni/miui_v5_lotus
Because Micode have no mdpi apks I used them from MIUI V5_MINI PRO_3.4.19
Good news for you, got it!
How to:
remove Phone.apk from /system/app (phone can not boot using this apk! Only a way by now is removing them. Framework smalis need patchings to get this apk and mobile networks working!)
remove Provision.apk from /system/app (Whats use of this apk???)
remove SEMCSetupWizard.apk from /system/app (phone can not boot using this apk)
replace android.policy.jar using file from attachment
Install these modified zip and you are done :good:
You can start reporting everything about this rom! Rom need a lot of work and I have no free time by now to work in them, hope some one use them and patch all remaining bugs! This rom you can use as a base! Hope Sola, P and U guys use this rom and finish them! Rom is 80% finished, 20% is bugs! Enjoy!!!

No need to edit build.prop its edited by default by micode, only you need to use 2 libs from stock rom (libhwui.so and libjni_latime.so) and one binary (installd) and add them to your rom zip, allso you can use all frameworks from current rom and add to your rom zip, allso you need to add shelld service to ramdisk, and allso you need to remove some apk from your zip (see previous post) and you will get rom working!
Make sure compile hdpi apks instead of xhdpi (you need to find where is xhdpi definition and change them to hdpi)... !
Edit:
Forgot to let you know something. You need:
adb shell chmod 06755 /system/xbin/*
adb shell chmod 755 /system/bin/*
...because some files have no right permission!

Sure, i already put "local-density := HDPI" in makefile
Permissions... i didn't look after the in xbin - /bin is set.
Good news for P guys Got booted for Xperia P
Working: Launcher, Statusbar, Toggles and also task manager!
not working: anything else (even file explorer won't open and get reboot on lock! but will try to fix )
EDIT:
got working other Mi programs by replacing android.policy.jar (so it's a smali bug) but modems are not working and settings is a bit miss sized
will try to fix these :good:
hope we can get a fully working MIUI V5 :fingers-crossed:
Well, since you have working build you can start patching frameworks. You no need to use patchrom anymore, just simple using apktool you can patch a rest of smalis trought "reject" folder / reading logcat...

hey Munenji..
I love miuiv5 .. but i can't download this torrent.. and can you tell that when will you fix its bugs and make it ready for daily use .
Maybe never, maybe soon, I don't know! Now I am very satisfied with stock rom + ex.se and simple thinking stock rom is better that MIUI, so no need by now to waste time in making bug clean MIUI v5 Hope some one use them and finish them?!
well, all the good stuff from miui are in the ex.se so..
And for those who want the "iphonish" look, just ad the miui launcher found at playstore
I just love MIUI music Player, sad that is not ported to another rom

@munjeni - Have you tried building the ROM on top of the latest firmware available? Maybe the changes needed with it are less troublesome.

Porting MIUI will ever be difficult for our phones, because we haven't "standart hardware", like ST-E U8500 chip, mali gpu and some other things. So, whatever rom we would like to port needs to get the drivers for that. It would be quiet easier, if we have a Qualcomm chip and an Andreno gpu.

true, but MIUI sure is worth it
wouldn't it be easier to wait for a stable cm10 and use that to port from another cm10 based rom?

Here is simple tutorial and my script for converting FXP CM9 rom to MIUI. You can use it for making MIUI on Xperia Sola too (download acervenky MIUI Sola rom)!
First of all you need to make some folders:
mkdir cm9miui
cd cm9miui
mkdir GAPPS
mkdir MODULES
Click to collapse
- Download gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip and extract it to GAPPS folder.
- Extract boot.img from my MIUI build and put it into root of the cm9miui.
- Extract all .so files from /system/lib/modules from my MIUI build and put it into MODULES folder.
- Download acervenky MIUI build and put it into root of the cm9miui, rename miui zip archive to miui.zip
- Download FXP CM9 buid and put in into root of the cm9miui, rename archive to stockrom.zip
- Download micode tools (its not needed now but you can download if you want to patch framework):
git clone https://github.com/MiCode/patchrom_tools.git TOOLS
Click to collapse
- Finally, make empty make.sh file and put this -> http://paste.ubuntu.com/1517684/ inside, save it, give 755 permission to it.
If you prepared everything, you can start converting. Run ./make.sh and wait until script convert CM9 to your new MIUI rom! Enjoy!
============================================
Thats an easy part. But we need to modify 3 frameworks! Framework.jar, services.jar and android.policy.jar to get other things fixed! We need to disasemble and compare cm9 framework with these 3 frameworks and add/moodify/merge/patch these 3 frameworks using and comparing with cm9 framework! I will try to get MIUI from real patchrom, if I can not get it booting I will try to fix something in current build. I will be happy if some one start working in curent MIUI build and if some one fix something, curent build is "solid" build but have some things missing, but in any way rom can be used daily without any problem, I using it daily! Enjoy guys with script... waiting something fixed by you!
Quite a tutorial
That's why you are so special
Sola owners who has some geeky capabilities, start something like this.

I going to stop development for this rom and make new (from begining) by patchrom tool... because curent rom is an repack only (mean - framework is not merged with latest CM9 - frameworks is from old MIUI, so I need to merge it, but I will not do it to current rom, instead of doing that I will start with latest MIUI). I started allready, rom fail to boot, but I will fix it soon
I will wait the next version then
thanks

For the second time answer there is no any resolution bug or issue in this rom! I didn't just put framework-res.apk from munjeni I recompile the stock framework-res.apk and settings.apk with needed resources in xmls and PNGs. other modification does not have anything to do with resolution so if you want your rom does not have any resolution issue you need to add things in stock framework-res or at least put your correct hdpi PNGs and some resolution related xmls in your framework-res! have fun

if any problem to download the program from the website, then do tell me. I will upload the .exe file
now backing up my current system, I will flash by flashtool and try your rom. when tested some time I will write some feedback.

thanks fr trying my ROM...please post feedback
My first mpressions on your rom are than i feel inspired with the framework and the themes,he wallpaper choose in all themes are good and brilliant.
My suggestions for next rom are if you can put aroma installer and put elements how cybershot 5.7.2 is really good ( in my old rom ) and update your build.prop with the last JDWalker 1.9 build.prop seems amazing brilliant results. If you can put a choose in aroma for governors, maybe can add more stability and battery friendly ( deppend on own chroose.
SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH... IM SPANISH USER NOT ENGLISH XD
And THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

about the JDWALKER build.prop, i was already looking forward for it and will definitely put it in v2...thanks
No bro im only experience the bug with the turqoise theme but not a problem at all, all the rest ar0e good for me, if you can delete othe apk's( i considered any apks how bloatware ) but dont worry all can delete the undwanted apks haha.
If you can,can add an option in aroma for debloat completly your rom. ( in my choice i delete thoose apk, all related with other keyboards except voice search and the original keyboard xperia, maps, street, talkback, and other i dont remember, i delete apks from / data partition. Your rom now is light and fuctional for me
Thanks a lot will try for a while

Hehe will try it and report any bug or problem with it. For fix all in next versions
Just a couple of hints:
For GPS issues:
I've managed to get a temp solution bypassing sony ericsson supl server. Goes like this:
Change your gps.conf file, in SUPL_HOST=supl.sonyericsson.com > SUPL_HOST=supl.vodafone.com
and change your cacert.txt file in /etc/suplcert/ by my attachment.
About joining the 2 files, if you use linux, you can join them manually by:
cat FILEONE.001 FILETWO.002 > JOINFILE.ZIP
easy huh?
BTW: just downloaded this ROM, but i'm trying a little more another. In about a week or so I'll post a review here

Turqiouse Theme Fix
1. download the attachment
2. replace it with the BlueTheme.apk in system/vendor/overlay/framework
3. set permissions to RW R R
4. Reboot
"Error occurred during tethering" appears whenever tethering is put on with data off.
So, IMO there's nothing to fix unless you just want the notification to not appear. Tethering works anyway.

hello guys
I have made some tweaks for xperia sola roms that have init.d support
And any phone that supports init.d
Disclaimer [!]
1)I don't take any responsibility if you used my mod
2)if you don't have init.d support you will have a boot loop
3)don't trust benchmark scores they don't measure your most performance
Tests[^_^]
1)mc4 high quality apk runs smooth as butter in single player
2)battery more standby time
3)more free ram (195 mb)free with the standard background processes
4)more better multitasking
Tested on[!]
Project Xeon (works like a charm)
Current confirmed working on:
Aosp
Instructions for smoothyty[?]
1)open terminal and type those:
su
Killjoy and it will ask a question press 1 and enter to accept it
Su
Entro_on same thing accept
Done!

XNova Thor I think it will work bec the project xoen based on it
But wolf I don't know
Here is the thing you must have a kernel and rom that supports init.d to make it boot or at the other side boot loop
I don't know how to fix init.d boot loops bec I tried to put a lot of scripts in many ROMs and I fail to make it boot
You can just try it and plz post feedback
And I will try to know how to make them boot on every device (peace)
A new zip will be posted after I get back from school

May I ask... What the hell is this?! Dude, you just took zip file from @Exit_Only 's Operation Killjoy thread and added a whole bunch of scripts (50). And the worst thing is that like 15 or more of them do the same thing but have different values, this is pointless. Like really?
Moreover, the scripts are from various devs like Exit_Only (killjoy) or WindowsX (fidelity) and you didn't even give any credit.

I only took kill joy because of the entropy tweak and I gave credit to the one provided me with some of these scripts.
And I am deleting some scripts that make a bootloop so if there is 50 scripts I think that there is 15 script only important and I dont need any of the others
Update will be soon after I finish mid year exams

Ok Is there any custom roms available for Desire 500 or 600 can u tell me??
Way to port
You can port any arm v7 cpu devices roms to arm v7 devices .
For porting basically u need two roms
base rom :: rom which u want to port to ur device (generally cm ports gives best results)
stock rom :: rom made for ur device. (u can also take backup of samsung stock rom by deleting data folder as stock rom!! but custom roms gives best results)
On your PC extract the .ZIP files containing the two ROMs and navigate to /system/app in your extracted base rom and copy stk.apk vpnservices.apk camera.apk and bluetooth.apk into a temporary directory somewhere else on your PC.
Now delete the following folders from your base ROM and replace them with the ones from your stock ROM: /data /system/app /system/framework /system/fonts and /system/media.
From your stock ROM copy /system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so to the system/lib/ directory of your base ROM overwriting the file.
Next up move the .APKs you copied earlier back into the /system/app directory of your base ROM.
Open up /system/lib in your base ROM and copy all the files and folders. Paste them into the stock’s /system/lib directory replacing all. Then go back to the base ROM and delete the /system/lib folder and replace it with the /system/lib folder from the stock ROM.
Next navigate to the /system/etc/init.d folder in the base ROM and do the same copy-from-base paste-to-stock delete-from-base copy-from-stock paste-to-base shuffle as before.
Sick of copying? Tough. Navigate to /system/etc/permissions and do that same copy-paste dance one more time.
Now open system/build.prop from both the stock and the base ROM in Notepad++. Update the stock build.prop to match the values for ro.build.description= and ro.build.fingerprint= from your base. Now save the stock build.prop exit Notepad++ and copy the stock build.prop into the base ROM overwriting the base build.prop.
Almost there! In Notepad++ open META-INF/com/google/androidupdater-script from both your base and stock ROMs. Edit the base’s script to be like the stock’s updater-script: specifically change edit or add the sections for permissions ui_prints asserts run_programs and installing the kernel. Don’t change any of the symlinks. In the base script make sure that the ‘format’ values are appropriate for your device (compare them to the stock script)..
It work's well for gingerbread, ics rom's.But little bit troubleshooting is required for jb and kitkat roms..

If i want to try port miui , How and from which device
Try out grand roms
Try out to port from grand miui ports as in those dual sim is enabled..U can port from any arm v7 cpu devices..But better choose samsung dual sim devices for an easy port...
If I remember it correctly, the cpu on GT-i8552 is arm v5, and not v7
NO
NO friend armv7 is main instruction set(of processor) for ARM Cortex-A5, ARM Cortex-A7, ARM Cortex-A8, ARM Cortex-A9, ARM Cortex-A12, ARM Cortex-A15, ARM Cortex-A17(These are types of cores)...All the above cpu's belongs to arm v7...8625Q 45 nm LP ARMv7 ---ARM Cortex-A5----Adreno 203 ..
so u can port from any of the above cpu's..
I think you should try by Cyanogenmod cuz its a basic rom:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:.MIUI is very hard to pull from other device to our device even if you have good experience.
I also tried porting 3 roms but was unsuccessful cux i am noob . Now i am making it from scratch (downloading the source )
If you want links to guide and best deivce to port from i can give you few link if you want. As i also searched for a whole day about various guides and phone so my bookmark is filled with it.Tell me if you want any help. and don't flash any custom rom with battery less than 50% cuz i know what happens after that(Just from experience).
Well Godd luck to you :good::good::good::good::good:
