Any games with the new multiplayer aren't showing my friends. For example, Super Stickman Golf 2. I go to race mode, wifi, then to the add a friend page, but no one is there. I added my wifes account to my phone and her friends show up. I added my account to her phone but no one shows up. People can add me though, and I can add random strangers.
So it has to be a problem with my account, but I don't know what. As far as I can see all my settings are the same as hers. I have tried reinstalling Google play services (and clearing data). I just don't know what to do.
Will someone please help me to solve this problem.
Edit: It worked on the first day, but since then it hasn't worked. I just can't see anything that is related to it in settings. The ammount of times I have been into google+ and various settings apps just to see if I missed something is maddenning, which is why I'm finally asking for some fresh eyes or some ideas.
Please

I've been having a weird problem with my Vibrant for the past ten hours or so, and can't seem to find a solution. I was running stock rooted JI6 and attempted to apply some app updates through the Market, but began getting network connection errors. I gave it several minutes, and when it refused to let me in, I restarted the phone, which had no effect. I did an ODIN restore and reverted to factory settings, and the phone refused to sign me into my Google account, saying it couldn't establish a reliable connection. I hunted around and eventually got signed in using the YouTube app workaround, but now when I try to access the Market it says the server is unavailable.
I haven't heard any buzz about a major outage, so I assume this is not something on Google's end. For the record, my connection is fine (tried to sign in to Market on both 3G and WiFi, no go, but browser and other internet-connected apps work fine, as do Google's sync services once I've managed to sign in through YouTube), and my Google account appears entirely normal PC-side. I saw an old thread about people having problems in China etc. after Google was partially blocked there, but as I'm in the United States, I don't think that applies. I am completely at a loss, and now I'm stuck with a factory-settings phone with no apps because I can't get into the Market.
I've followed the XDA forum for a couple months now, but this is my first post. I'll be heading to a T-Mobile store to ask them about it later today, but I'm hoping you folks will be able to shine some light on the subject in the meantime and perhaps even save me the trouble. I'm still pretty new to smartphones and Android, so go much beyond rooting and ODIN 101 and I'm quite ignorant. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks for your attention!
Market works fine on my end. Try clearing the data on market that has helped me in the past. From home screen menu/ settings/ applications/ manage apps/ market/ clear data and cache reboot.
There's no entry for the Market in my apps list, since it's pre-installed.

Hello guys. I have a problem with the market. When i go to new applications or games, it says to force stop because of "android.vending.com". I have not rooted my phone. I even restored to the manufacturer settings which deleted all my apps, games, passwords etc, but nothing. The market got an update after restore and does again the same thing. Any suggestions? I searched on xda and google for this problem, but i did not get a straight answer what to do.
I always get force close whenever I try to scroll on the "Just in" list. Both Games and Applications. Can't find anything on the web about this problem
Exactly that. ONLY at just in apps or games. I don't know what else to do. Maybe we're lucky that is happening only at just in and not in the whole market as some users report
My market front page, the little circles with a right pointing arrow seems to be missing be all catagories except one, so I can't view app categories properly.
I'll attch a pic so can see what I mean. Anyone else had this problem, perhaps something to do with flashing roms?
I have the same problem, got after I cleared market data. Let me know if you fond a way to get them back!
Same here...
I did a factory reset but i still have the same problem
same to me, kinda strange...
same here, got it after installing starburst rom
Clear all data in the app, then remove your google account, then add your google account back under account/sync.
I had a similiar problem yesterday with Movies not showing and that is how it was fixed.

I´ve tried to solve it few times. But take no effects to me.
I didn't even notice it until now, but yes, my Market has the same issues. There are only two categories that work for me. I don't remember exactly which ones, but they're both the "top something" (top free, top paid, etc) type categories.
can anyone reproduce that?
thx in advance
Hmmm. Odd. I've had it happen twice (I did a reformat in between fixes so it came back), both times the method above fixed it.
The first time just movies was missing, the second it was movies and books. Both times fixed.
Same thing happened to me i called googles android market department and they said its a issue that is happening with the market and they are working on getting it fixed :-/
The movies section disappeared once i installed starburst. Last night when I went into the market, it asked me to accept the T&C and the movies tab was back. Seems like a server side issue to me.
Hey xda-users!

i rebooted but it still didn't work.
what can i do?
thank you

Contact their support.
never buy anything from gameloft for android.
i bought modern combat 2 and 3 while they were bogof, 3 worked fine, 2 failed to launch altogether.....so i wrote to their "customer services", who were quick enough to ask for my details so that they could spam my email address every day, but didn't actually fix the problem. in fact, i didn't hear back from them AT ALL after they'd taken my phone number and email details. the only thing they did was to send some sort of push notification to my phone which kept telling my phone to start modern combat 3 (even though that title was already working). they never once bothered to try anything to fix the problem with mc2, nor even repky to my emails or contact me in any way after they had received my details.
in the end i've just uninstalled both games and refuse to use them ever again. mc3 uninstalled to stop the notifications every 2 minutes, and mc2 uninstalled because it just plain doesn't work.
your best be is to just stay clear of them tbh
All the new GL titles require internet access to complete license verification, make sure you have internet access before you launch the game. Of that fails try this, uninstall the app, delete any game data that may be left on the SD card. Re download the game and install it again. Let it download the game data and try again
i contacted the support but they just sent me an auto-generated email -.-
i downloaded the hole game again and now it works. thanks for ur answers

There's an update. The Dark Knight Rises 1.1.1. The graphics is more detailed than the previous version.
Many of you may have noticed the recent YouTube video Innocence of Islam causing widespread chaos and uproar among the muslim countries. Governments took the appropriate action and banned youtube altogether in their respective countries. But appropriate would be the wrong word choice when other google services like gmail, google play, google drive etc are being affected as well!!
I'm in Bangladesh and for the past few days I've been frequently unable to sync gmail on my Galaxy S3. I checked further and noticed that I can't access Gplay on my phone either. Google now unable to connect either. On my pc though I can access gmail, but cannot access google play. At first I thought this might be a problem with my phone or my internet connection- which made me try several things like flashing other ROMs, changing kernels etc- but then I heard that my friends been having the same problem- and finally came across an article on the net also.
This is all very frustrating for me and for all of you who happens to live in a place where the blocking of youtube is causing your android phone to become almost like a brick doing nothing I just hope the youtube ban is uplifted soon or else I'm thinking setting up a proxy server might be of help
