Hi!I'm from Romania too.Unfortanely,here in Cluj I don't know any repair centres.Two months ago,my loudspeaker stopped working,and I got a new one from eBay.I changed it myself.It is original,and it's working well.The price was good too,8$(~25 lei).So I recommend you to grab a new screen from eBay.

Like the title says I cracked the screen on my g2 and I want to know if I can just replace the digitizer or do I have to buy both the LCD and digitizer. Also is Samsung good at repairs and will they just repair it or give me a new phone?

go on eBay they go for cheap and they come with a tool kit so its easy for you to do it your self I'm sure Samsung would charge u a lot more then What the phone is worth

Super glue. **** fixes everything!
OK good I was just making sure I could replace just the glass because so many other places say you have to do both the lcd and digitizer and Samsung charges 149 for that repair.

Is it nearly impossible to change just the glass because the digitizer and LCD and glued shut together. If you attempt to change the class, you will easily damage the LCD. I would try to find a broken phone on craiglist or eBay and use it for parts.

I tried to replace just the top glass on an Infuse.......didn't work but changing the LCD/digitizer assembly was easy.

looking to find a used phone for parts (LCD) for the Galaxy S2 i777
just curious if these:
- i727 LCD (Skyrocket)
- i9100 LCD (Euro model i think)

Unfortunately, I accidently broke the front glass screen of my xperia mini st15i:sad:
THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH THE LCD i think
TOUCH IS WORKING FINE
THE CAPACITIVE BUTTONS ARE WORKING PERFECTLY
BUT my front glass has got a wide CRACK running in the mid of the screen
I just wanted to ask...if I need to change the whole LCD screen or just the front glass plate
and how much is it gonna cost me around?
I seriously don't trust the service centre guys...
Any suggestion would be really appreciated...

The whole screen must be replaced as far as I know. At service center they want about 150€. So maybe look in iFixit, there's a tutorial how to change screen

In Germany, it costs 150€ euro to replace screen at service center.
150€ = 10 445.6084 Indian rupees
That's much money for a screen, a new SK17i costs ca 150€ in germany, same price for a replacement
I don't want to replace the whole screen...
Just the top glass layer that we observe on the top of capacitive keys is cracked... No problem inside

Hi,
I also have a broken glass on my st15i.
Everything is working (touch, display, etc). Only issue is broken glass..
I read somewhere, that lcd and glass can't be separated, is that true. if so, why things are sold separately.
The service center is asking for Rs. 4500 for the glass replacement.
Can somebody provide me following info:
- link to purchase this set (display+glass).
- fixit has only info about st17i, will that info usable or st15i ?
- Do i need to buy anything extra [somewhere I read, you should glue the screen and touch ; do i need tools and glue solutions]?

I mean everything is working fine.. just there is crack on screen so perhaps only the glass above screen has cracked...
Can someone suggest what to do...

Hi Pal!
The S2 glass will come with digitizer so you cant get the replacement glass alone. you have to get new Display which will come with glass. sorry pal...

hi, i can share your pain because the same thing happened to me few weeks back! but sadly they jus dont replace the glass alone as pointed out by #ssnalugu. I got it repaired at a private samsung servicing store, it costed me around rs 9,500, he replaced the whole lcd panel, everything fine now
A Samsung service centre told me it will cost 6500rs
I am thinking to use it as it is for few weeks then buy a new phone...

What are you buying from Amazon? Everyone is saying it is nearly impossilbe to replace the digitizer alone. Do you have any experience with this? Is it possible to replace the whole screen instead?

Yes I got it from Amazon, and successfully replaced it "just the cover screen".
It hasn't any connectivity... Need to be patient as possible till replacing process specially when you remove the old one.

Stupid question. Replaced plenty of screens before. My sister has a Verizon gs4. Cracked screen yesterday and over nighted a digitizer without my help. Lol. Its for i9500. Which is international version. I am assuming this will not work with the Verizon us model? Thanks.

I work at a cell phone repair shop. The digitizer runs through the LCD on most newer Samsung phones, so did you buy a LCD/glass combination piece or did you buy just the glass lens?
would really like to know how this goes. I have a glass screen protector which I have cracked, hopefully just the procter and not the screen itself. haha either way let me know how this turns out

on the s4 all carriers the digitizer is fused to the lcd the outer glass has nothing to do with touch.
the outer glass just protects everything no connections at all so its not like the older phones.
google youtube the glass lcd digitizer repair.
I had to fix mine

In fact, the LCD screen and digitizer can be used all the models and only the frame under the screen is different.
Thanks. I figured that out. Never changed just the glass before. Always been digitizer. It was kinda nice. If you leave adhesive on LCD. Just heat up rub off and clean with water and windex mix. Worked great for me in a pinch.
