Just made some simple transparency and centre clock patches for the status bar (CM10.1 & CM10.2)
Supported CM10.1 builds:
26/6
2/7
9/7
Supported CM10.2 builds:
30/7
1/8
17/9
Important Stuff:
The patch dates are as per the date in the name of the ROM, not its actual upload date(which may or may not be the same)
CM10.2 patches have CM10.2 in their names, therefore the other patches are for CM10.1
Center clock mod has been implemented from 17/9 onwards
Instructions:
Download a flashable zip as per your build, and the transparency level you want
Flash it
Known issue:
Lockscreen status bar is more transparent than the lockscreen itself (more like a side-effect rather than a bug)
Also, it is not mandatory to wipe cache/dalvik, but you can do it for good measure.
Screenshots are attached to this post.
Credits to Adi Aisiteru Reborn, I followed his guide and adapted it for use with the defy, Quarx and all other defy devs for their amazing development.
Updated to support the latest build
Sent from my MB526 using Tapatalk 2
Great idea thank you .... Will it work with 27.05.2013 CM10.1 by Quarx?
Wow, looks great!, nice work man! I'm gonna try it in a while, you could make a center clock mod zip too, if is not too much trouble obviously.
Edit- Is this zip is for the latest nightly (May 27)? or the one who has the actual "20130526"?
I will upload patches for 27/5 soon
Sent from my MB526 using Tapatalk 2
Wow
Thanks a lot. I was trying to make one like this with no success. Will try now
Edit: Needs more work i guess. Watch Attached screenshots. I flashed 100%transperancy tweak.
Suggestion: in lockscreen it shows 100% transperancy whereas on home screen it shows lesser transperancy. I think on lockscreen transperancy is lower and on home screen it should be 100%. Attached screenshot will tell you exactly what i am talking about
Just downloaded the 100% transparency patch from the post to make sure it's named properly and flashed it.
I was unable to replicate your issue using latest build and trebuchet launcher
The lock screen issue is a known one, and perhaps I'll make transparency patches for the lock screen itself to counter this.
If possible please try with 26/5 build, or perhaps a clean install
EDIT:27/5 patches will be uploaded soon

Can U made a transparent status bar for build 20130616??
Thanks you!!

If you were using the latest CM10.1 build, you should use the patches I have just uploaded.
The patches are build specific; the patch for older versions may not work at all for the newer versions.

Thanks!! :fingers-crossed:
Does the date of 16/06, it works for the 07/06?
Depends, if there were any changes made to the framework between the builds then it wont work
To put it another way, if the original SystemUI.apk and android.policy.jar on any two builds is the same, then the patch will work

If you guys could upload below system files i could theme each rom. I believe each zip is less than 11mb so you could upload on this post
I would need:
1. /system/Framework/Framework-res.apk
2. /system/app/systemUI.apk
Once i theme them i could upload to OP and ppl could try them out.
Notification Background
Just curious....
Would you guys rather have a cool Animated Image in the background of the notification pull down? or would you rather have just a nice pic.
For sake of argument, lets say it didn't eat up battery any more/less, didn't create any lag, and the animation was smooth.
Give me some feedback.

Hello
I have compiled miui with the xxkpq stock rom as base. I used the MiuiPatchRom on github. It boots but there are a lot of FC's and then it crashed. I will release a beta soon. So please be patient. I think i have enaught time to release the beta in one or two days.
Sry for my bad english.

MIUI XXKPQ 2.3.6 by ChaOS.ChriS
Changelog:
v.B0: (Current Release)
- Initial Release
v.B01
- added MIUI Bootanimation
- try to fix some fc´s and SystemUI by adding code from Noisyfox (seems not work :/ ... boots but all apps are fc and android.core crash´s every second)
v.B02
- rebase on v.b0
- try to merge code from i9000 patchrom and noisyfox´s patchrom (ypgb70)
- add progress step in installer script
- add new text output for "flashing"
Here is the first beta!
It Boots! but the most apps like kalender lockscreen settings etc are stock :/ dont know why and there is no statusbar. Uploading my Source tomorow
ROM ist broken ( not complete but boots )
Download ROM v.B0
Download Source Code
Flash instructions:
Flash in CWM
Dont worry that when you flash it Stucks a little time at "Mount and clean up system" i forget to add a New Text output in next build i fix that
I maked few changes and the the result was a bootloop :/ then i undo the changes and i got a bootloop so i think i need more time.
Edit: I think i know where the Problem is. I need a cwm flashable zip of the stockfirmware. I merge the content of the cm7 zip for the sgp4.0 and the factory.rfs from the xxkpq release but i think there is the Problem. I compile now the miuipatchrom with the cm7 as Base and try it. I tell you the result.
Edit2: I got a lot of erros while compiling the rom. I fixed the most of the errors but i cant compile the settings apk. I get many string warnings errors from aapt i try a clean build ....
Edit3: I fixed the erros in the Settings apk i know now where the problem is. I fix now the rest apks and compile it again
Sry for my bad english

Sorry but what patch?
In my first port i used the MIUI from ypgb70 from noisyfox that was compiled with the patchrom too i used neodyniums patch pack ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719976 ) but its was not complete so i decide to Start my own port.
In that release i used the stock samung Rom xxkpq 2.3.6 and the official MIUI GB patchrom. There was some errors on compiling the settings.apk in the strings.xml but it was easy to fix that.
By the way i figured out the cwm Problem :/ its every time i Format /system With it. When i make a cleaning script that formats the system all is okay but when i manuelly Format it with cwm there are a lot of mounts problems and i must use a pit To restore
Edit: ah you mean your patch to comvert from SGS Tod SGP ? Yeah i used hat but that build dosent Boot and in this release i dont use that becoause i Start with the xxkpq from sgp

First this rom base off @Kibuuka AOSP ICS and @Texasice Evervolv Perdo ICS for Nexus One. I am not the true developer therefore all credits go to the true developer as I just port the rom.
I intend to port this rom just for us to play around while waiting for the true dev solved the bugs.
Give credit and thanks to the following people for making this ROM possible :

- themanii

Make a backup of everything before flash, and flash the rom as usually.
Google apps and some applications included in this rom.
All the bugs and not working on the base rom will same on this rom, I'm sure kibuuka will solve it soon
Theme Chooser not working, you can see the themes but when you choose it, the device will reboot and freeze, hv to reflash again.
Still hv random reboots sometimes.
Pls anyone feel free to give any help and solution as I'm not experienced in building rom and linux code related stuff.
Once again, all credit and thanks to the true developer and this rom just for us to play around and feel other features on ICS.

Update to Evervolv-perdo-2.2.0a6 passion, the latest build and might be final as evervolv team working on Jellybean now.
The big improvement on this original build is native camera and camcorder can record and play, but due to camera does not work on our device, so not much changes we get here. I will update again when there is any significant changes on our base rom.
Not work :
- Theme manager still not work (but work well on my supersonic).
- Camera
- Data for some user including me
- Wifi Tethering
- All the bugs from base rom
Looks like this build hv fixed unsaved settings when reboot.
Gapps not included so have to flash seperately, find TheManii thread about newer gapps.
Special thanks to Froilson, Mazda and Team Dirt for SGS3 Samsung Touchwiz and other apps.

[ROM][UPDATE] PCM7-Streak-JB-Patch/2013/02/18
***PCM7-Streak-v2[JB-Patch]***
Here is some information should know how to make it look like JB :
- Rom include Ice10 theme which make CM7 looks like JB
- Hide all statusbar soft button
- Go to settings/themes and apply Ice10 theme
- Reboot
- After reboot, if statusbar did not show up, reboot again.(make sure hide all statusbar soft button)
- After statusbar show up, we can use statusbar soft button again without any issue.
- For applying others themes, should do the same procedure as above.
- This JB patch is compatible with Ice10 and Xperia Arc themes. Other themes can be apply but will have minor bugs (usually icon mismatch) in phone.apk
- Always remember to hide statusbar softbutton when change theme then reboot.
***Download links PCM7-Streak-v2[JB-Patch]***

but what is the difference with hpa's cm7
Hey!
I know that lens flare is a very experienced dev and he works with the pasto on acer liquid e and they solve the camera issue on liquid.
Maybe we can get help about ICS for DS 5 from them or maybe they can accept our donations for DS 5?
Would you please talk with them about ICS development for DS 5?
Well, only minor change, just like update from RC0 to RC2 / RC3 (you know how cm... )
As far I know the change are :
- most of app size (browser, theme manager, etc) bigger than hPA RC0
- size of framework (framework.jar, service.jar, etc)
- add few features in settings, statusbar softbutton
- build based from official HTC Bravo source code (sync from cm github on May 2012) should be newer version from hPA.
Overall, the performance is same and very stable for daily use. And from I've read, mute work since RC2 / RC3 for some device.
I will check @tweakos newer build.

Yes, he and cosmicdan really skilled dev, I learn from them how to diff and merge smali. But I doubt he will dev ics for ds, as I know he working on jb for htc 3D and some other device.
Most devs I know stop working on ics, they said quite bit useless working on android 4.0.4 when we got 4.2

FROST TW
Restl3ss
This is the very first ALPHA release of Frosttw, a rom which aims to combine Cyanogenmod with samsungs Touchwiz in a way that gives you the best of both worlds! Inspired by Dandroid for the Samsung Galaxy S3, this project was started to ensure that users would no longer have to chose between aosp and oem, a way to truly have your cake and eat it too.
This rom contains both the frameworks of cyanogenmod and the stock i717d firmware, which means you can run features and apps from both aosp and touchwiz on one, singular rom!

Hi, something really is not right. Home button doesn't work, but more importantly, there is no "settings" nor is there a notification bar.. or pull down, etc.

OP doesn't want mirrors, but I downloaded it and I'll upload to my 4shared account and will gladly share the link so that we can jumpstart feedback & dev for the Rom. I'll PM you JEZZE when its done uploading. Correct me if I'm wrong Restl3ss but the file is 576 mb right ?

Alpha
Thank you for the feedback everyone, as I said it is a first alpha but I've begun work on build 0.2 alpha which hopefully should make the rom more usable. Also I'd like to clear up a little confusion on what is meant by stock, by stock I meant to say aosp, I apologize for the mix up!
Happy flashing, and thanks for testing!
