Return to stock VRUAMDK via ODIN? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Since there is now a way to root and unlock the GS4, I was wondering if there is a way to return back to stock VRUAMDK via ODIN (like we can with the Note 2). Since that is the only way to revert back to remove stock and TW/CWM bootloaders.

Nevermind, guess it's this:

[Q] Want to backup stock odin rom, root and unroot my i717R

Hey guys, I have found most of the info I need, but am still left with a few questions after going through the forums. Maybe I am getting old, but I don't want to take it apart if I can't put it back together, so to speak.
What I want to do, is root my Rogers Galaxy Note without tripping the flash counter, which I learned is to:
Use Odin to flash CWR, and then reboot and install superuser from sd card. No problems so far, that seems simple. The problem I have is with restoring it to full stock. If I perform the above mentioned steps, do I need to flash a custom image? How would I remove CWM and superuser? Would I need to flash back to my stock ROM, and then my stock bootloader? Also, how do make a backup of my Rogers stock ROM/kernel? I read that the existing one has a Telus splash screen.
I found this thread, but the member implies to use titanium backup....wouldn't that back up a rooted ROM?
And this one says you can't make image unless you are rooted. How would I be able to go back to full stock?

Hang while trying to ODIN back to stock VRALJB from VRAMC3

I odin'd back to stock VRALJB from my note running cm10.1 and then took the 2 OTA updates all the way up to VRAMC3. then when I saw CASUAL didn't work (then) with VRAMC3 I tried to Odin back to VRALJB again and this time it failed half way through.
so now when i boot up it says my Baseband is VRALJB but the Build number field ends in VRAMC3.
Repeated attempts at using the Odin process documented in the sticky on this site fail the same way.
Also, the new CASUAL fails with the phone hanging the same way while trying to DL firmware.
Any ideas on how to get the phone back to a 'normal' state?

Just went through the same thing.. but didn't accept OTA's which you should never... When you say back to "normal" state.. you are bone stock now aren't you? no root, bc you say CASUAL fails.. So what exactly are you asking? I don't think you can use Odin to downgrade from a stock not rooted device. I believe to downgrade you have to be rooted and unlocked which you are not correct? I would say you would have to wait until Adam updates CASUAL (which I think he has for VRAMC3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272066

As I said, I didn't take the OTA's until after I had odin'd back to stock. They installed fine- it was only when I tried to Odin again back to VRALJB that I was unable to have it complete and now the device is reporting it has the Baseband for VRALJB and the 'OS' from VRAMC3.
I pasted the CASUAL log up on Adam's CASUAL thread, so mabye he'll be able to help me jailbreak it again. But I think the Odin and CASUAL problems may be related because it hangs on both while trying to download firmware to the phone.
Maybe the first step would be to get the baseband to match the Build Number? And if you can't revert the build back to VRALJB then I guess the only option would be to try to flash the radio back to VRAMC3... which I'm not sure how to do with stock recovery.
You can't flash over the bootloader included with the newest OTA. That is why it isn't working.

Hey I saw your post on another forum for a recovery flashable VRAMC3 radio- do you have a version that's flashable through Odin?
I'm thinking if I get the radio back to VRAMC3 maybe the new CASUAL will work...

Unless there is an unlock method for the latest OTA out, changing the radio won't do anything.
Don't know if it helps but the new Casual did work for me. But I was bone stock VRAMC3 (latest OTA). It worked for me. YMMV. Check my signature for link.

[Q] !HELP! Unroot ME7 & Question(s)

Hello I am on the new official ME7 update and it is ROOTED only. I am getting a replacement and I need to unroot this.
I found this stock image http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43420116 and wondering if this will unroot my device so I can get a replacement and warranty back.?
Also I read about the Flash counter and I am confused by this and have not seen anything to help.
Will only ROOTING trip off my flash counter? I have multiple things but different things and I have no clue. When I go into download mode everything says Official and stuff. Also I heard if I flash the stock image using odin to unroot it will trip off my flash counter, will it? If it does is there a way to reset the flash counter on ME7 since the bootloader is locked :/
Thanks!!!

I would post your request here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2313529 and DarkMenace will get you the info you need via PM. Pretty simple process and involves the factory image.

Easiest way to get back to full stock

I need to know the easiest way to unroot a unlocked bootloader to completely stock like it would come from Verizon with 4.3. Right now it has a cwm recovery .Would I just use Odin with the official firmware in download mode,? Also can 4.3 just be downloaded from Samsung? Thanks
Yes, Odin is by far the easiest method of returning to stock.
This guide explains everything, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024207
It returns to stock 4.1.2 (from there you can download the OTA, or you might try finding a 4.3 stock rom)
Hope I was of some help

Help me get a 900T3 back to stock

I have taken my stock nandroid backup for granted and now more or less no longer have access to it, as it is sitting on an external hard drive thousands of miles away from me. I am beginning to regret that.
I need to get back to a "stock" state in order to do a SIM unlock. I put stock in quotes because am not exactly sure what that means as far as how far I need to go. Do I need to flash a stock recovery? Do I need to unroot? Can I just flash any stock ROM and have that be enough?
I have a 900T3 and am currently on the GPI1 firmware. I am aware of the sammobile firmware downloads page and am totally fine with flashing any of those. Although, I'm not sure if I need to manually update one by one, or if I can just flash the most recent one and be fine with skipping everything in between GPI1 and the most current.
Is there somewhere I can download stock ROMs specifically for the 900T3? Can I use stock ROMs for the 900T and have it work? What do I need to get a stock ROM to successfully boot? Matching firmware/ROM versions? Stock recovery? Just do a wipe and flash the ROM in twrp and I'm good to go?
Thanks

You can use the Latest Stock Rom Version, for me it was a 4.4.2 BNH5(worked best for me) for the G900T.
Backup all of your pictures etc first then use Recovery to wipe the phone and use ODIN to install the firmware.
Awesome. So I'm on GPI1, do you know if I can downgrade firmware from here, or can I only go forward? I did want to update anyway, can I flash to the most recent first or do I need to flash up to the most recent individually?
There's one newer than GPI1. Just download the image from sammobile and flash it from Odin. The phone will then be 100% stock.

It is a TMobile Phone- So you can upgrade or downgrade. ATT and Verizon are the only 2 I know of that Lock Their Bootloaders down to prevent downgrading.
