Has anyone had any success in building and running a CWM recovery for this phone? I suspect it needs an appropriate graphics.c, but I have not been able to find anything relating to that.
Is kind new phone.... hope this will be released soon

MTK6577 and I can provid scatterfile, stock recovery and boot image if requested
I installed cwm for my tecno n7 just yesterday. The procedure is as follows. Connect your switched on rooted mtk device to
your computer and open MTKDroid tool, the tool
will recognise your device and connect to it, if the
colour indicator in the bottom left corner is green,
you already have root shell,and can go on to the
next step, if it is yellow, click on the root button
at the bottom, and wait for the progress bar, if
the indicator stays yellow, or you get an error
message, this probably means you do not have
Busybox installed, you can install it from the
google play store. When the indicator turns to
green you have root shell which is necessary for
this operation.

guys I finally get the solution on installing cwm for tecno N7, make sure you backup your phone using mtk droid tools and also root your phone then follow this tutorial

How to root my Tecno T3
please I need to root my tecno t3. I've tried all one click solutions and they didn't work
To gain root access, you have to perform the root method by installing POOT apk and MINISTRO II apk.
Download: Poot Tecno n3
Download: Ministro II library(from Google play store)
To ROOT your TECNO N3 is simple
Just install POOT apk to internal memory and run the apps. it will require you to install MINISTRO II, you'll get -error like "update minstro library", just update through google play store.
Then proceed again to the next step. After installing and updating all the libraries of QT, your phone will automatically reboot(or reboot manually)
You'll get two buttons
1. "press here to poot"
2. "built in root check
Click on the first button to poot and wait till you have 3 buttons
, That means you are now rooted.

If phone vibrate n goes blank try this steps.
1- enable usb debuging
2- change location of install app to fone memory.
3- uninstall pook and ministro
4-reboot N3 and reinstall pook and ministro II
5-Make sure you have internet connection so as to update ministro binary
6-restart your N3 after the update
7-unmount sdcard and run pook
8-select the 1st option and wait. if pook display install superuser then u hv sucessfully root your N3.
If phone vibrate n goes blank then remove battery n put it back. power the fone, as soon as it shows instaling sdcard quickly run pook and n press the first option.

You've probably had a solution to your problem, but just for anyone else with this problem, check out a pc app, windows to be specific, called "apk installer" .I'm pretty sure it will help.
Goolauncher is a better alternative besides CWM. It is a browser for custom roms and a installer all in one!
I use it and when it is in recovery (Teamwin) you can leave your phone on the charger!
It is very solid and stable.
I use it every time when I update my Cyanogenmod!

Mine boots up but the display hangs up after loading the default wallpaper, I can unlock the screen, change brightness turn on USB debugging having memorized the control locations on the screen BUT all behind the wallpaper. It's d5, any luck?

Well, just dwonload a rom on your pc (can be stock firmware too) then plug your phone into your pc, and navigate the file into the root of your phone. Reboot your phone into recovery mode (VOLUME U P+POWER+HOME) and select the file to boot, BAM yout device should work properly again now

You can hear the lock sound, see the screen brightness changing But you won't see the UI. All you can see is he wallpaper. So obviously am blindly interacting with the controls having memorized their locations.

Hey man, how are you finding the iris 502? Is jellybean working fine on 1 Ghz single core + 512 mb ram. What abt the battery backup, display and games?. Please give a brief review if possible. Im thinking of buying this phone. The price is very tempting.
Uptill now its perfect. Battery lasted more then a day on 3G. I played temple run 2 which runs smoothly. Dnt know abt the other games. Just waiting for the root to enlish the power of the device

I have a LAVA Iris502 phone running Android 4.1.2 JellyBean OS powered by a 1Ghz. ARMv7 single-core CPU on an MT6575 ChipSet. I tried rooting this phone by using Bin4ry's rooting script but the script is unable to root as it returns an error "mount: permission denied (are you root?)" at the end of the rooting process. I also tried other available root scripts but its all in vein. I also wish to list out two issues I'm facing with this phone.
1. This phone reports to hava BMM050 3-axis magnetic field sensor present on installing Z-Device Test app from PlayStore
but its not detecting any magnetic field at all thus showing a 0µs value on the app but on entering a special factory test mode
at boot and on selecting the M-Sensor option from the menu, its detecting magnetic field.
2. On entering stock recovery mode, all I see is a red triangle with a lying chest-opened green android robot logo and I cannot access
the menus in the recovery mode. Tried all sorts of button combinations on the phone but still don't see the recovery options.
I also request developers to develop/port a working ClockWork recovery mod for this device.

When you get your lava iris502, try making the stock recovery menu appear coz when I enter the recovery mode, I see only a red triange above a lying green android robot no menus...

I tried pressing the menu button but no luck ...tried pressing the home button too but still the same story... btw, are u getting the recovery menu too?

Try downloading & installing the configuration settings by SMS from your mobile service provider and see if it is working. If not, try a resetting the device. The issue most probably will be solved. Even I'm facing a magnetic sensor issue with my phone too. It says that the same is present but up on installing Z-test device app from Playstore, it does not show any variation in the magnetic readings & have requested the customer care for a replacement. Btw, have you checked for the recovery menu issue that I've pointed out? Is showing the menus? If so, tell me the steps please.

Even I'm about to get a replacement to Lava Iris501 from the company soon and I think that phone is rootable coz it is powered by a MT6577 Dual Core CPU running on Android 4.0.4 ICS.
Just use the link posted by me in above post.I got iris 502 with invalid IMIE,no network;so returned to flipkart and order a intex aqua wonder,which looks like SIII.

Connect your device
Click on PDA and load the tar you downloaded
Make sure auto reboot isnt checked
Click start
When it finishes pull out the battery and USB
Put the battery back in
Press and hold Volume up, home, and power to enter recovery
congrats you are now in CWM, there is a graphics issue of scrolling. the recovery is still usable, just a minor annoyance :/

you dont request to get cm support, someone takes the cwm tree and works on it until it fully works with cm. as for teh forum you need t o go to the new devices poll thread and request one and have all the people vote for one. they only make forums for devices that get enough votes.

as i said, that didnt fix it and i dont know how to. i need to talk with some other people about it all. cwm is fully usable right now, the only thing you are missing out on is being able to install from rom manager, which isnt that big of a deal.

Should I flash this through mobikeuncle tools? Or some other way like through terminal because I dont have my pc now..

what are you talking about?
and no dont us ethose tools that is for mtk devices. download teh tar, extract it and put recovery.img on the root of your internal and external sdcard.
terminal emulator
su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
if it gives an error about recovery.img its because that isnt where it is saved.

Hi im using Samsung Galaxy Win i8552, when i extract the Stock-MH2-GT-I8552-Recovery.tar, it only gives me "recovery.img".
is this the .tar you are referring on PDA on odin?? or should i rename the recovery.img and put .tar on it??
please advice.

ok, after i click on pda, i have the .tar, but when i gop to cwm , volume up + power + menu, and update on sdcard, i dont see the supersu.zip,
i already put the super su.zip both on internal and external sdcard, i also put the recovery.img on root of internal/external. but unable to see the super su.zip inside the cwm.
please help.

There is an app called kingo app through which u can simply root ur device by one click. And the most attractive part is ur device status will remain official after rooting and u can unroot also using that tool. This app is working with the very latest firmware update from samsung.

I found another one click root method for our quattro. I found our phone is supported by this soft in their website. I did not get any chance to test it as I am already rooted using kingo app. If anyone want , can check it and let us know if it is really supported or not. Kingo app worked fine for me.
Earlier rooted used odin and CWM recovery.
Unrooted using unroot.zip in recovery mode.
Now successfully rooted using kingo.
But I want to remove CWM recovery. How to do?

Just flash stock recovery or take backup of all apps using titanium and flash full fresh stock rom. Choice is yours.

If your sole purpose is to get your phone easily rooted just to use apps that need root access, without flashing cwm via odin, kingo app is the right choice. It's damn easy. Install it to your computer, connect the phone, hit root in desktop application (kingo app). That's it. All process is done by kingo app and you get supersu on your phone followed by a single boot hardly within 4 mins. It also keeps the phone status as official.

If u have flashed cwm then rooting via recovery is the best process as u can root and unroot right from ur phone..
