normally, fake capacity
Probably not fake capacity. Look at the size of it. Fake would be 4000mAh in a standar size, but not something like this. My friend had simmilar bat some time ago for HTC G1 and that battery realy last longer.

How do you know that it "works well"? Do you have one? If so then can you post a pic of the case showing its thickness in relation to the phone?

When it comes to extended capacity batteries the two major brands in this regard that I know of is Mugen and Seidio. They're legit.

Yup, Mugen is the best. That is why they can charge $90. Fake counterfeit batteries are usually in the $10-$15 range. These are quality batteries. If you want quality then this is the one to go for.

Anker makes great batteries. I work in batteries and we tested some Anker batteries on our Cadex 7400er and they are everything they claim. The cheap ebay extended batteries usually have less capacity than a stock battery.

Looks good! Not like the Seidio cover (yuk). I will post more when I receive mine in the mail and run a comparison.
Not bad for 27.99 if the battery is what its advertised at.
UPDATE 10/3/11
Received a replacement from Gorilla Gadgets due to battery contact issues and a cracking cover...BE WARNED, THE NEW REPLACEMENT IS A "Wedge" COMMON TO THE eBay SPECIALS! THE BATTERY IS ALSO SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER (in size) BUT A STICKER PULL REVEALS 1650x2 = 3300MAH (less than advertised!) NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!
Man I don't like that hump at all!
I still think that the eBay extended battery doors look the best.

Glad you hit me up on GTalk bro!
Yea I'm not a fan of the Seidio door or price tag either. The battery though is probably the best extended available. Seidio battery with eBay door would be the setup that I would like.
I didn't use my extended battery for my Evo 4G enough for me to justify buying one for the 3D though. I have 2 Galilio 2000mah ( more like 1300mah) already and 2 Anker 1930mah on the way. I'll just keep a couple extra batteries with me if I ever think I'll be away from a charger long enough to need one. I'm using WTSB 1.3 Rom and get around 20 hours Up and 8 hours Awake with my normal usage. That is more than enough for me 95% of the time..
I have a car charger in each of my 3 vehicles, a wall charger and dock at home, and a wall charger at work. Very rarely do I need more battery life than 1 full charge.

I read that as well but the person didnt back up how they know it was only 2600mah. Only way to tell is to pull stickers or test.
It is ugly, but compared to the "door wedge" from Seidio and the fact that I can put my TPU case on it (with a little modification) its a winner for me. I have the cheapo eBay cover coming as well with the "no chance in hell" 3500mah battery. Pics will follow!

Just ordered one of these from Expansys UK, it looks exactly the same as the Gorilla, without the branding sticker, I will be interested to see if it is the reported 3400mah especially for £11.99!
I actually like the gorilla backing. It looks better than all I've seen so far. At least the whole thing is not a brick.

I'm looking to buy an extended battery for this phone right now online and curious which is the best and has the most life. Any recommendations would be great.
I think it would be the powerskin. It uses the original battery and a1500 mAh battery. So two batteries total.

I did the same thing, phone is large enough without it. I bought a Mugen extended battery and it should be here soon. If it works like the one I had for my 3g slide, it should be fine. I always liked Mugen batteries. Got mine off Ebay
Hey all
Just wondering if anyone knows of an extended battery that is no larger than twice the size of an original stock battery...reason I ask is I have a case which I like to use but doesn't accommodate the normal 5000 to 5200mAh extended batteries you find on eBay..they are much thicker...only one I have seen that is this size I need which is approximately 1cm thick is the mugen power but that battery is way overpriced...if anyone could help me find a cheaper alternative would greatly appreciate it...thanks

My 2700 Anker made a noticeable difference. The phone was only a few months old when I got it so I'd guess the stock battery was fine.
This one actually fits (does not need a bulky battery cover) and is 3030 mAh for only $5.60 with free shipping!!!! http://dx.com/215304
I've been using it for several months now and i'm HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY with it!!!! (But I still carry the original fully charged in my pocket because sometimes I just use my Note too darn much while spending a day away from home. Even with GPS/Wi-Fi off and power saving mode and automatic brightness and auto-rotation off, and all redundant background apps frozen, etc., I still end up going through a full charge sometimes, though seldom, thanks to this high capacity battery. Must be the LTE 4G data link draining it.)
This battery fits both the i9220 and i717
I've heard a lot of the battery's are fakes ...

I agree and am equally as skeptical. They are fake in that the posted mah probably isn't 3030. But I have heard they are indeed larger than the stock battery...just not the posted 3030mah. may be somewhere around 2700 to 2800 mah. Of course this is just what I've heard from a friend.
But if someone can post some proof of better battery life with these things than that would be appreciated

the issue is not so much as cheap batteries, but the lack of NFC on the cheap batteries.
Samsung's site has no listings for anything of value beyond GG and S-View covers, no batteries, no cases, no nothing.

The Anker battery seems way to expensive than the past batteries I bought from them for some reason or maybe I'm used to their bundle. 2 batteries and 1 charger for $30 or something like that.
I'm not going for the anker for four reasons:
1. They're made in China, and the Samsung ones are usually Korea (still trying to exhange my Note III for a Korean Model
2. They're uglier than the OEM ones (I carry these in my pocket and swap daily throughout the day, I want them to look decent)
3. They don't include a carrying case (my Note II batteries did, which helps protect the moisture warranty-void stickers from getting wet, which happened to my S3 batteries without the cases (I carry contact cases in the same pocket as batteries at work)
4. They don't have the option to come with that super cool portable battery charger from Samsung or something equivalent. God that looks awesome for on-the-go charging!
SO Samsung, PLEASE RELEASE THE KRAKEN... err.. Batteries. Release the damn batteries already. and soon :fingers-crossed:

seems too good to be true.
i agree with some other users. how can they increase 1/3 power and not increase size.
also, take a look at the sellers bad feedback. they ALL state the extended batteries they purchased did not last as OEM batteries.
I'd steer clear.

I only trust
mugen and worcell batteries providers, however, since the Note 2 battery was great, i did not need a larger capacity.
Just got my Note 3 and waiting for PDAIR case before using it full time and the battery seem pretty good as well.
In all honesty, I one minor update that I wish the Note 3 had was a battery >3500mah. look at the jump from Note 1 2500mah to Note 2 3100mah to Note 3 3200mah.
still is a better than average decent size though.
Mugen is considered an over rated battery peel back the label on them plus 100 dollars for a battery, most people don't keep a phone longer than 6 months. yeah rip off there are countless threads about this everywhere.
It's just like zero lemon vs mugen.
With the note 2 so many people have talked about this but for price over performance it only makes sense to pay $40 and get 3 times the capacity of the original verses 2 times the capacity and sixty dollars more then the ZL battery.
