Hi huy
I have this app for my S3 and I am trying to uv by - 75 but although I select apply at boot the uv settings do not get applied at boot so revert back to initial settings
. Does anybody else who has RoM toolbox pro have this issue?
And know of what to do? I don't particularly want to buy a different app like set cpu if I already have an app that is supposed to do the same thing?

Re: RoM toolbox pro (uv issue)
Edit: I tried installing android over clock and got a message saying device . not supported maybe due to locked bootloader? I have the ics bootloader I flashed to get rid of the red exclamation marks. Could it be for this reason?

I started to work on the ink effect for the S4...
Requirements: you must be on the latest version which is "AMDL" and deodexed and have the latest recovery installed..
I have tested this on two different devices both running P-ROM.. One unit normal kernal and the other running ktoonsez kernel.
Now with 18 color choices and I fixed the menu layout as well...
It's compatible with Nottach's Xposed as well.. If you are running any other customs rom this could break some features that are in that rom...
Installing this will also give you the long press menu to kill function and 4way reboot...
I will be improving on some of the colors in the next update ex: making pink a little darker and pinker...
I will also be looking at the ink flow to see if I can increase it...
Install using your favorite recovery and as always make sure you backup your system before installing...
Have fun!!!!
On initial boot if your lock screen is black just swipe it to unlock and you are good to go.
Ink 18 Colors For S4
Not responsible for bricked units.. Follow the directions and you will be good to go.

No. I forgot to. I removed it though. All I did was take the files that were in your mod from the rom I was using and replaced them with the stock ones. BTW your mod is working great except for the color flash thing. Keep up the good work.

Just flashed this on my AT&T S4. After flashing I cleared Dalvik cache and cache. Rebooted and immediately had an error message saying "Unofrtunately the process TouchWiz Home has stopped working). I then proceeded to turn on the ink effect but every time I selected something in settings, I would get the same error message about TouchWiz Home not working. Good thing I made a backup before installing!
Really hoping the bugs get worked out as I miss this mod from my GS3. Adding the water drip sounds for lock and unlock would go nicely with this
BTW, I'm on Nottach's P-ROM with stock kernel.

When I flash this, it boots to a popup that says something like "not starting app" or "do not start app" or something and stays on that. I have to factory reset to boot.
Any suggestions?

Hi just wondering if this will work fine on a I9505?
Let me preface this by saying that this might belong under Development, but I was unable to post it there (mods, feel free to move it). This is the same method I used to enable infinite scrolling on my other phones (S3, Note 2), as for some reason Verizon disables this quite useful feature. I haven't seen this posted before, but as I said before, the same method works for enabling infinite scrolling on phones such as the S3, Note 2. This enables continuous/infinite scrolling throughout your home screens and in the app drawer. Please hit thanks if this helped you.
First, you need root access and a file manager (I use Root Explorer, as I've found it works the best consistently)
-Open up your file manager, in this case it's Root Explorer
-Enable R/W at the top (cannot be R/O)
-Go to /system/csc/feature.xml (hold down on feature.xml and open in text editor)
-Scroll down to the end (on my phone, the line we are looking for was the third or fourth from the bottom)
-Find the line that looks like this:
<Cscfeature_Launcher_DisabledPageRotation>true</
-Change "true" to "false" (without quotes). It should now read:
<Cscfeature_Launcher_DisabledPageRotation>false</
-Save changes and reboot
-Profit
I didn't discover this original method; I simply discovered that it works on the S4. Enjoy!
Awesome! Works great
thanks!
Sweet! Finally something that should have been stock. Don't understand why verizon disable this
Thanks worked perfectly! My stock rooted with Wi-Fi toggle and Wi-Fi notification removed is running pretty nice now thanks to this which was a big concern too!

I'm trying to do this, but it doesn't stay. When I make save and exit, I went back in and its back to true. Any idea why?
That's strange that it didn't stay when you saved it. You have full root and R/W access?

I used this root method, and I used root explorer with clicking on R/W. Is there anything I do wrong?

having the same issue with ES file Explorer. Won't save my changes. Full root and I was able to make other changes for the system toggles. It's odd.

Worked like a charm. Didn't know it changed the app drawer too. Perfect!! Was wondering how to do this without a custom rom. Thanks!!

Just out of curiosity, what is the advantage to infinite scrolling? It seems to be something that every Dev has put in their custom roms.
hello xda,
Is it normal that I have less then 100mb ram available when I closed all app with the task killer ? My launcher is often killed (icons are gone, they appear 5 seconds later) when pressing the home button and coming from an other app.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue ? how can I (if possible) fix it ?
thank you,
inse
EDIT: my s4 is not rooted
This phone comes loaded with bloatware enabled. There is a thread on this and what apps are safe to disable in this forum. Search for it. I've gone over it and at boot I'll start with around 700mb used......

Agreed. You should definitely look into disabling most of the junk that came pre installed. You'll definitely enjoy your device more.

So I just did the 4.3 update with root, following every step exactly, and with great success.
I then went to install safestrap, and got this strange popup on my notification bar.
Even went and froze/uninstalled Verizon's security software.
Any idea what it is?
It's known that it happens, its actually knox by samsung not Verizon if I'm not mistaken. Seen even non root users say they get them.
I got rid of them using xposed framework and the wanam xposed module.
Within the module there is a security hacks section where you turn off knox notifications. Check that and reboot they should be gone.

Thank you! I went through my ROM toolbox and froze all the Knox and security crap, rebooted, and now it works. Unfortunately, it still wont boot to safestrap.
I assume that won't happen without some changes. Glad you could add another solution as well for this problem to those not wanting to install xposed.
