Flash on my gf's Note abruptly stopped working after weeks without problems.
Things I tried: I tried the stock and dolphin browser, and just got the plug-in cube. Starting the flash plugin settings app brought me to a full page webpage with the same plugin block. Rebooted. I tried clearing the flash plugin cache/data, there was none to clear. Tried uninstalling (it was 11.1 or something, I don't remember), but it errored while uninstalling. It's still there, the box is gone on webpages but no flash area. Flash settings app doesn't do anything. The only option in app info is disable. And nothing available on the play store.
Any ideas what to do next?

Ok, first things first, Adobe no longer supports Flash on Android devices, as such link on Google Market has been removed. Not sure if that caused an auto-unitstall as XDA is not littered with complaints about that happening. Good news is it can be fixed, as still working my rooted running custom ROM, just need to get you there.
1. Download attached and place on SD where YOU can find it.
2. Ensure Unknown Sources is enabled, if I have to tell you how, than leave things alone.
3. Install Adobe Flash.
4. In Dolphin settings Flash Player is always on.
5. Try some Flash videos and see what happens.
Let me know how it turns out, don't think we need too, but could always mimick my root/custom ROM to get her up and running.

Doesn't that require root?
Maybe OP needs to factory reset?
I know your options for fixing apps unrooted are limited.

Nope can do that on non-rooted devices plus factory reset is last option. He states only having issues with Flash not the whole phone.

Cool glad I could help, just so you know all Flash support with Dolphin is disabled in Jelly Bean. Reason why I am back on ICS based ROM.
So lately I've noticed that AROMA likes to freeze randomly on installs. for instance omjs mod pack has done it to me since his v1.5 through 1.7. and now on my teams rom we've come across the issue as well. its gotten to the point to where the rom doesnt even install. It freezes on the first option and forces a shutdown>bootloader>recovery to try again and again. It always freezes. Me and swagstr have come to believe that it is a conflict between TWRP and AROMA. but most likely a bug in AROMA. IF anyone has issues similar to this please reply with you issue so we can start a bug tracking thread and solve this ourselves.
So With that said. Does anyone have similar issues?
i have same issues when ever i use aroma installer.. im rooted s-off and i would say about 50% of the time when i flash something that uses aroma it freezes on me.. its a pain in the a$$ big time.. thats why i try and stay away from aroma.. i rememeber one time i forget what rom it was but i tried flashing it and it used aroma and it frooze like 4 time in a row.. i wanted to throw my phone!! yea i always have problems with it
I've only had problems with aroma once and that was awhile back alreafy. Other than that once its never froze on me

I have a Note 2 and have the same issues. I've tried about 10 times to install Omega v14 (a custom rom) without success, it freezes randomly during the setup wizard. Tried wiping user data / cache / delvik cache...no joy.
Aroma Installer 2.56
I'm running CWM 6.0.1.9
Odd. What recovery do you have
Sent from my EVO using Xparent Purple Tapatalk 2
This is actually because of your recovery version from what ive read, if you are using our twrp, go ahead an update it a bit (i wouldnt any 2.4.+.+) as im not sure if they are totally finished and work correctly with every rom.
I placed the Rom onto my virtual sd card, rebooted into recovery, cleared all cache and factory reset it and it freezes halfway through install. I check all the boxes and go thru the whole setup and when its installing it freezes. How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance
Don't touch the screen during aroma install; only use volume keys and power button to select. Also sometimes you just have to go through the install several times become it works. Bugs with aroma.

After about 10 tries I decided to install my old maximus7 rom that I had on my sd card just to make sure I didn't brick my phone. At first it froze too but went through the second time. After booting into android I tried to reinstall the android Revolution rom and it failed yet again. The second time after that it finally completed. I have no idea why since I didn't change a thing but it did. Thanks for all the input really appreciate it.
I'm having the same issue with Revolution HD
I'm having the same issue with Revolution HD on both the Galaxy Note II and S3
I've tried not to touch the touchscreen as suggested in this thread but even if I don't
at some point the phone vibrates and the installer locks up.
Has anybody found a workaround?

Ah sorry... anyway in the meantime I figured it out on my Samsung.
The Aroma installer locks up when you use Clockwork Recovery mod,
I installed TRWP instead and the installer completed without any issues.
Perhaps this will work for the HTC one as well, worth the try
There were two main roms I wanted to try after I finally S-OFF'd my phone yesterday. Hatka Supreme 1.1.0 and Carbon. Neither of these worked and I'm glad that I backed up my S-OFF rooted stock rom. Hatka Supreme, the guy states its best to use Beast Mode kernal with the rom, which I flashed after I installed the room, and it just randomly reboots at the splash screen/a few seconds after getting into Android, so I restored my stock and everything worked fine. Next, I tried Carbon, and it just sat there at the carbon flash screen for like 20 minutes, so again, I had to restore to stock. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a difference between Original Android Development and Android Development? Should I be looking at the original or what? I'm really lost, I'm going to try another rom, hopefully someone replies to this before it finishes downloading. Thanks for the help.
EDIT: I'd rather just sit and wait to see if someone replies before I waste time downloading another rom...any help would be appreciated.

It's probably your recoverys fault. On my last DNA I had nothing but failures. Once it took at least 30 times to get a Rom installed. Never solved the issue on that phone. I just soffed my new DNA yesterday, installed the newest cwm touch and flashed 4 different roms with no problem. Try re-flashing cwm touch.

Yes, still the same thing, I'm not saying I didn't do that the first time though, that's like the basics of installing a rom.

Do you think its TWRP's fault? After I found out there was no way to mount USB storage in TWRP I wanted to switch to CWM, but sadly I don't know how.

You could use the goomanager from the play store or use fastbook flash recovery cwm.img
Edit: for the touch version of cwm fastboot is required.

I would rather use goomanager, because it seems easier, but the only thing it seems to be able to download is the twrp image. How would I set it to cwm?
I have canvas 2 running on suvi6 Jupiter rom i have some prob with this when i reboot some icon on home screen will disappear, i found that those apps which r installed on ext sd card its icon will disappear from home screen, but apps working in apps list, only icon from home screen disappeared.
Other problem is that while incoming a call i cannot see full picture of caller becoz half screen is black and half picture can be seen.
Please help me

Sorry I was mistaken, goomanager installs twrp not cwm.
Fastboot is easy to use, I'm at work so I can't to a step by step til I get home later. You should be able figure it out but if not I will help when I get home.

I don't know if you knew this already but I s-offed using moonshine, is that a problem? I installed cwm and tried installing hatka again and it did the same thing, restart like every three seconds into android. I don't know what to do anymore.

I'm no expert, but when u flashed hatka, did u reboot into the system before flashing beast mode kernel? Flashing a kernel in the same recovery session is a no no. Also, beast mode is not compatible with carbon, fyi.

I did that the first time, and thats when I started experiencing it, so I figured that was the problem. So I restored to stock, and then just tried flashing the rom and booting, still same thing, rebooting every 5 seconds. Sometimes I'm able to get into settings, scroll up and down a few times, and then it reboots.
EDIT: If I remember correctly, I didn't even flash beast mode kernel after I flashed carbon.

Hi,
I'm currently using a Nexus 7 (2012 model) running Android Jelly Bean 4.3. I've been having a strange issue where the Google Play app keeps saying there is no connection. This has also occurred in the Youtube app. I have tried changing my time manually, rebooting my device, and uninstalling updates, to no avail. I am currently unlocked and rooted, and using TWRP as my recovery. What can I do to fix this problem?
Update
So after a painful night of trying to fix this problem by myself, I tried installing a custom rom: Liquid Smooth. When I installed it, Google Play and Youtube seemed to work just fine. At work today though, both apps failed on me again. This proves that it isn't my connection at home. Could it be my Google account? May I please get some help with this problem?
I ve had this one time before... I dont know for shure from where its comming (must be something with the framework) but i do know that the only thing helped that helped me was reinstall official firmware, root it again and install philz recovery...
Do a full wipe and install ROM once again....

I unrooted and re-rooted my ROM, flashed Philz Recovery and LiquidSmooth, and I'm experimenting with each app I install. I think the problem may have been with either XPrivacy or Freedom with Market Unlocker Pro. In any case, I have uninstalled all 3 of these apps.
