Hello,
Trying to move v1.0.1 from Google Play game data from Droid 4 to vzw S4, both rooted, using Titanium Backup free. Have used backups with default backup settings, and including app cache.
Have tried restoring data only, and app + data.
Have tried restoring to already installed and not installed app.
ALL attempts end with fresh start in S4's app (intro, character create, tutorial, etc.)
Thanks for any other ideas to try!
Try using Helium to transfer. I have successfully transfered across devices with that app.

Thank you, but Helium isn't compatible with Motorola devices (source Droid 4).

Just a quick question, I play some of the online games such as Zoo Story, iMobsters, Smurfs Village etc. and I swear that when I backed them up using MyBackup Pro when going from stock to MIUI, one of them didn't work. So what should I be using to ensure they carry over to my new ROM successfully?
Cyanogen Rom or any to Miui will caused problem. Restore apps without data won't cause any problem from cm to Miui.
But you can still try it using titanium backup to backup both apps and data and restore it, see whether it work.

Shouldn't be a problem to restore app + data. It's system data I don't restore
When trying to restore the mobile hotspot app, titanium backup just spins endlessly

setting - appl - manage appl - Titanium - clear data
then retry
No luck. I guess I'll try to find the original application somewhere and install it to the apps folder of my phone. Any ideas?

When I move a copy of the hotspot launcher with the other file to the app folder it wouldn't install. Any ideas?

Have you tried setting app processing mode to auto indirect in TB preferences?

Try restoring just the app first. If that works then restore data after.
Tapatalked.
I don't know if you've managed to fix this yet, but I had this problem and fixed it by enabling usb debugging in applications --> development
Hope it helps

Did you restore the game from a backup? I restored all my apps from my previous phone (Galaxy Note) and when I tried to launch some games, there would usually be some problem. So I uninstalled the apps and reinstalled them from the Play Store and they work. GTA 3 was one of those apps and it works for me just fine now.
Make a Titanium backup of the game data. Unisntall the game. Install a fresh copy from the market and restore data from the titanium backup and it will work. Good luck

I got my Galaxy S3 today and I'm currently using Galaxy S2. I'm going to root it the S3 using CF-Root. I have already rooted my S2 and have backed up apps and system data using Titanium Backup Pro.
Once I root the S3, will I be able to restore the backup on to the S3?
The reason I'm asking this (stupid) question is because there are three types of backups in Titanium Backup Pro and I'm not sure if they will work when I restore on the S3. The three types are "all user apps", "all system data" and "all user apps + system data". I've backed up the S2 using the third option but I don't know if it will restore onto the S3.
I wouldn't restore system data from an S2 on to a S3. Just restore apps only if anything. To be honest I'd play it safe and manually restore them from the market. That way you know your only getting S3 compatible apps.

I can check if all the apps I got on S2 are compatible with S3 before I restore them. I want to be able to back up all the in-app data and restore it onto the S3 such as games etc.
Will I need to back up system data to be able to do this or just back up apps?

Ok but only restore app+data. Do not touch system data. Even restoring system data on a different rom causes problems let alone a different phone model.

There isn't an option for app + data. There is only an option for app. Does this option also back up app data?

I've got it and use it. Do you have the pro version of Titanium Backup
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Yeah pro version. I bought it today. Rooted my phone yesterday

Well done! Well it's there my friend hope you find that option on TB

By default, backup all user apps will automatically backup apps data, as well as data from external storage unless the size is larger than 32MB.
Everything are configurable in the settings, change them accordingly to fit your purpose. I think restoring user apps from s2 to s3 will be fine, but not recommended for system data, always let them generate in their own ways~

I've rooted my S3 and have also backed up user apps on my S2. How do I transfer the backup over to the S3 and then restore?

Copy the folder /sdcard/TitaniumBackup to your S3, all the backup will show up in S3 as uninstalled apps.
Getting ready to move from my TB to a Gnex. Can I copy over my downloaded apps that titanium backs up and restore them over on the gnex??
It should work. Just download the apps from the market and restore the data if it won't restore the app and data.

Thanks man, I already dled all the root tools and the sorcery rom for the gnex. Suppose to get here tomorrow. Sold the tbolt for 140 and picked up the gnex for 200. Pretty happy.
I thought I had someone that was gonna trade their gnex for my tbolt with all of my accessories but he fell off the map.

You can do that, but make sure you only restore apps, not system data. What I typically do is restore only the app, then for the few apps that I actually need to restore data such as saved games, settings, etc., I'll restore data to those apps. I've run into issues when restoring app + data for all the apps.
