Hi, I bough the HTC one when it came one on T-Mobile, then after 4-5 days of use I decided to return. The reason was I had the Galaxy s3 before and thinking that the Galaxy s4 is much better watching online reviews. And I went and bought the international version of Galaxy s4 i9500 for $775 cash. Thinking its octocore and it has to be unbelievably fast. Now after using the GS4 I realized that HTC one is a much better and faster phone. Everything on the one is PREMIUM.
Now Im trying to get rid of the i9500 and get the HTC one back.
Just sayin dont trust any reviews on the youtube they are all bull****

The S4 is a great phone, but i like the htc one more. Try selling it on ebay , amazon or craigslist , and then go to tmobile and buy the Htc one

Honestly I own both and they are good phones in their own way. For some One is better and for some sgs4 is better, why do we have to get into the my phone is better than yours debate?

I also have both phones. If I had to choose I would pick the HTC one. The s4 is a nice phone but the ui isn't as smooth from my experience.
If the ui on the s4 was just as smooth as the HTC one it would be hard to choose. The s4 has a lot of customization.

I will never buy a phone with non removal battery. Its stupidity. Here in europe you get 2 years for warranty and 6 months for battery. If you are unlucky after one year and battery is gone you have to pay to much for a replace battery or if you try to change it by yourself you loose warranty. Thats stupid in a phone of 700 or more euros. And so far i saw from comparison s4 is slightly better. Thats all because I say. Lol

That's normal friend phone it's been optimised. It takes one or two updates to take everything working. That happened with my s3 also. You get updates nearly daily from Samsung. And from htc your phone in 6 months will be forgotten by htc...

Why be so childish over a phone? If you don't like the HTC one then why are you on this forum? No need to bash other phones just because you "think" yours is better. I have the HTC one and I love it because it's for me, my girlfriend has the gs4 because she's used to touchwiz and I've played with it and it's also a great phone. Stop all the bashing and just enjoy your phone. It's all about personal preference.

Because Android and iOS have polar opposite philosophies. Android offers users choice; and choice leads to freedom, ultimately entitlement. iOS says my way or highway. Capitalism vs. Communism.
I had the silver a couple of weeks ago than traded it in for the gs4 which was just horrible. Today my new HTC one arrived in black. Now I'm faced with a decision. Yesterday the GS4 had an it's update which made the phone work as it should finally, but I love the One. We all know the background on which phone can do what and why one might be better than the other. But now that the galaxy works well and the lag is gone I'm having a real tough time deciding on which to keep. The note feels amazing in the hand and is true quality with a great keyboard but the screen size on the gs4 is so much better when surfing. Help me decide guys. I will post this on the gs4 forum as well.

In my opinion i prefer the HTC one. I had 2 galaxy s4 returned due to overheating and battery drain like crazy. I was waiting for s4 but now so disappointed. I have returned for Htc one seem the best phone so far. Hope this will help you decide.

Wow you got the black one! and this warranted a new thread? Instead of posting in the Stealth Black thread?
Didn't realize there was a thread on that. This is more of a help medecide thread though. If you asked me yesterday I would keep the ONe without a doubt. However now that the ota has cured the lag on the gs4 it's a real toss up.

I ordered it on 4/23 from att and it shipped on Monday of this week. I actually cancelled it when I found out I would have to wait for it and ordered the silver which was later exchanged for the gs4 then on Monday I got an email that it was being shipped. The cancelation never went through. Worked out well though. Now I get to play with both the gs4 and HTC before making the decision on which to keep.

I have to admit that there is just a certain level of sexy added to the stealth black one. I however really have no issues with my silver one. I think I will just keep it. Congrats, for me I think the one is a better phone than the GS4, I don't know that I could ever live without boom sound. It's just that good IMO.
The speakers are a bid decision factor for me as well.
Thanks

as the title says, currently i have the samsung note 2 but thinking about getting the htc one but, i'd like to get some your feelings on the phone. what are the things YOU DONT LIKE about the phone. can you stream movies from your phone to your samsung or LG tv? thank you for your feedback.
u need a htc toggle or something similiar to stream, cant stream direct from phone. not fair to compare note 2 to htc 1 so will just list the pros
pros of htc
nice body
fast ultrapixel camera and zoe. nice gallary interface
cons of htc
medicore battery
shortchange you with 720p screen instead of 1080p
sense 5 interface is slow and sluggish after a few mths of usage, badly written.
please try the phone first if you can. open up simple things you usually do on your phone and see if you can get use to it.
if you wanna try a htc phone,i rather you consider the butterfly S. otherwise wait for sony honami or lg g2. samsung is getting so boring for me and their strategy to launch s4 in so many version pisses consumers off.

IMHO, the only thing "better" about the Note 2, is the screen size. Yesterday with moderate to heavy use, I was out of the house for almost 18hrs....got home with 20% battery remaining.
Being a previous Note 2 user, I can tell you that the battery life is miles ahead of the One. That and the screen size are the only two things that I would say the Note has over the One.

There is so much wrong with this post. The One has surprisingly good battery life with it's 1080p screen and small(ish) battery. Sense 5 does NOT lag at all. I've had this phone since launch and it still does not lag.

Well bro your experience was an uneducated one, because there were several things wrong with your post like the previous user stated.
1080p screen (not 720p like you said), easily stream your media to your TV directly from your phone (it's in settings > more), Sense 5 is easily the smoothest experience I've ever had (and I owned the Nexus 4 prior to this phone) so what experience are you talking about? lol

Here's the Htc Max Information
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
I came from tmobile galaxy s3, iPhone 5, note 2, and Sony Xperia z.
Finally I bought the HTC one.
I felt like I made a good decision.
Sure, note 2 had amazing battery life, but I thought that the phone was too big and heavy for me.
If you're strickly for battery life, note 2 is the best. Hands down.
Now for HTC one, this might have worse battery life compare to note 2. But you can buy battery pack to charge it when you need it.
Also, there are excellent Roms out, like android revolution HD. Gives better battery life and tweaks added.
If you have extra cash to spend, HTC one is a great choice. But note 2 is still good and not lacking tech. That's until note 3 comes out.

well why would they release it before the One? if they want the phone out there, it seems like post-One is the way to go. You get people to buy your flagship first. If there are others who didnt want the flagship or just never even considered it because of price, then they'll be up for this phone. Many who would buy the mini would have never bought the One in the first place, but you have to lead with your flagship.

Yeah it should be free. HTC is probably doing to make some money from this because people will think its a smaller HTC One. Its not. It's **** that looks the same.
Free? Why would it be free? The phone makes total sense... Once the max comes out they'll have a perfect line of One devices. Small, Medium, and Large.
There has to be some differences in specs between the three.
And why wright the specs off as crappy? They almost match the moto x at half the price. And there's plenty of reviews that say the mini runs great.
Man you guys are freaking jaded...

Well I ended up getting the HTC First for my wife and a mini for the grandkid (she's paying for it).
It shouldn't take long to get Facebook disabled on the First. She been using an iPhone the past 2 years, so plain Android should be fine for her.

My cousin just got the One Mini and the first thing she said about it is it's the same size as an iPhone. It's her first Android phone and so far no complaints. It's just a watered down One but it is quite smooth and snappy for those specs plus its got the front speakers and most of the perks of the One. For a mid range phone, it sure can't be beaten!

I agree. I'm very impressed with this phone overall. Even the photo quality is much better than I expected and is seriously being downplayed in all the reviews. I wish we had r/w access to the file system, but I can accomplish most of what I need to with an unlocked bootloader and root, so I'm content.

Just spent my first full day with the device and I am blown away. The hardware is excellent. Feels great in my hand without a case (case coming soon though lol) battery life is excellent. At 4% battery right now writing this post and I've had 3 hrs 20 minutes of screen time in addition to using play music for 1 hour at the gym, YouTube videos, Web browsing, texting and the works and the battery is clutch. Screen is miles better than the AMOLED on the s4 I just switched from. Shame on me for switching away from HTC for my last phone. Very pleased.
Oh and Sense 6 has made huge leaps from sense 4 the last time I owned HTC. Software is well done, buttery smooth, and has great features that I have always wanted added to sense.

I ordered mine yesterday AT&T is telling me that I should be getting it on the 3rd. I am also coming from Nexus 5. I have had a lot of HTC phones like the Aria, Inspire, the Vivid, and the ONE X. I left Vivid and went to the S2 skyrocket cause there was something about the Vivid that I cant remember that I didn't like, then when the One X came out I had it for a little bit and I didn't like the direction they were going so I went to the S3. I have had a lot of phones in the last 5 years so I hope HTC don't let me down with this ONE. I'm gonna keep ahold of my Nexus 5 tho..

I left my beloved 5s for the M8 and couldnt be happier! The larger screen is the way to go
