i think for transparent status bar use uot or there are many themes for cm7 which has transparent statusbar
You mean the bar on top to be transparent or the menu u can pull down from it?
If you're looking for the second one, try the first two themes.

I tired all the themes..nothing happened...I think some thing is missing...
I read somewhere that u need to edit framwork-res.apk to enable transparency..
but i am not comfortable with editing..thats why I am asking for CWM flashable file..

Thanks dear but i am looking for Transparent status bar...not for notification menu..
1. Download your desired CM7 theme.
2. Open up the apk file (read this)
3. Open up the folder: framework-res -> res -> drawable-mdpi.
4. Replace the statusbar image with a transparent picture (with the same size and file-exention)
5. Download this
6. Select your wallpaper using that app (tap+hold homescreen).
7. Chose the single picture-option and expand your desired wallpaper to fullscreen.
complete.
@ Step 5-7, these steps are required to prevent the statusbar from pulling down the wallpaper.
This process is unnecessary if you know how edit your framework, but since i dont know how to do it i cant help you further than this.

Nope.
If u are using adw ex, u tick the wallpaper hack option in adw setting. Make sure u apply the theme that support transparent status bar such as miui theme by zdune. And i always enable 16transparency option in cm setting .
Didn't try on other launcher but as far as i know only adw ex support it without any editing in xml. Try it.
what.....? I'm just saying ...didnt hurt much

Statusbar Widget ,you can choose which widget and change the order now!!

As the title says ,a Junior Member of the XDA forum [sj8023ld] ported the Power Notification widgets from I9000 , and posted same Thread in the arc section.
now it is possible to us to choose which widget we want to show and change the order of them . I think you may like it. You can post it to anywhere you need if you like.
It is tested and worked with Arc/neo/pro/ray/neoV 2.3.4 for 42 & 58 firmwares.
Requirments
1) Your Phone has been rooted
2) Root Explorer or other software like it.
I provide you a nomal one a transparency one in the package ,
you need to extract the package and replace the systemui.apk
with right permission (RW-R-R ) and install the other app and reboot , after reboot you can enjoy it .:
oh i forgot after 'ur done with the settings in the other app if want u can Uninstall it

[MOD][MINI/MINI PRO/LIVE][Xperia Nero v1]Statusbar Widgets,Customize as YOU WANT !!

This Mode is only for Gingerbread ROM and is no more maintained !
Same Mode is Availble in my ROM NeroICS with every thing working
GPS crash fix and network toggle is fixed now with 15 toggles...
I have read a lot about users comments to know how to make Power widgets for statusbar and how to customize them.
And finally got solution over it ! Its similar to the statusbar from CyanogenMod BUT this one is more cool in look !!
You can add remove and arrange the power widgets in statusbar as you want and also apply settings without reboot ! This is for Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) Users with Android 2.3.4 OS as i have tested it on my SK17i
It also worked on Xperia Mini and Live (Tested by users...)
Active users can try at their own risk ! And please report if it works....
NOTE : I am not responsible if you damage your device by my work ! AND DON'T HESITATE TO HIT THANKS BUTTON IF YOU LIKE MY WORK AS I HAVE MODED IT FOR SK17i !!
Instruction for use :
Firstly extract "Xperia Nero v1 (Power Widgets).zip" anywhere you want and follow these method.
Method 1 :
1] Install QuickPanelSettings.apk
2] And Just Copy " Xperia Nero v1.zip " directly to SD CARD and flash it using CMW
And you are done !
Method 2 :
1] Install QuickPanelSettings.apk
2] Extract " Xperia Nero v1.zip " copy SystemUI.apk from "app" folder and framework-res.apk from "framework" folder of extracted files.
3] Put them anywhere in phone memory before you replace original files using adb or Root Explorer etc and change permission to
R W -
R - -
R - -
4] Make backup of original SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk and then copy the apk that you put in phone memory just now.And reboot
And you are done !
Sorry For Orange colored pics but actually its BLUE Color NOT Orange !

Yes you can use it with UOT kitchen and I can say it would be better to re modify these apk file as you want instead of porting look of old SystemUI.apk, as it takes more efforts than redesigning
thanks for reply. I have tried using this in UOT Kitchen but when i flash it back on to my phone the status bar widgets are gone. ANy ideas?

This might be due to 2 reasons first is you might have added header or carrier lable that will cause you to loose power widgets
or the layout, choose mdpi layout and make sure tou haven't added any non compatible widget icons like blue icon pack...
rest it shouldn't happen as i have tested them on uot before i answer you
method 2 does not require unlocked bootloader right? just rooted phone?
update - my UOT Kitchen'ed version of framework and systemui works if i perform a factory reset and then apply. but then i lose all my stuff, so i have restored my backup. I have tried wiping dalvik cache and then flashing zip but that applies my theme but without toggles :-s I'm so confused

No method 2 needs only rooted phone to use root explorer or similar software to copy apk files
These software requires root access...no need of unlocked bootloader..

This shouldn't happen, though you try following steps
firstly extract my apk files from my work (systemui and framewor-res both)
Upload them to uot and modify as you want
download and extract the modified uot files (systemui and framework-res both) and replace your origianl apk files from phone memory by giving properpermission as mention above in method 2
Reboot and it should work ...
and be sure you don't mess with header and carrier label through uot ! Cause i have restricted them in my work for stability.

Can you explain what you meant by horrible graphics ?
Did it gave you any glitches or else ? cause it worked on Mini as told by one user...
And if you want to revert back to old look then just replace SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk of old rom with proper perimissions that i mentioned above and you will get your old look back... (I hope you had made a backup of these files or Nandroid backup before you used my work )
I noticed a small problem in Quick panel
Pressing mobile data, which indicates the light on or off is not quenched. He turns on and off mobile data, but the indicator light remains lit.

[Q] Transparent statusbar ics

Does anybody know how to port transparent statusbar for ics ? I´m running KA05 ics rom and I have tried to get the statusbar on it transparent, but haven´t found one that works so far...apparently gs2 has it already check this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432512
Mid framework res or systemui. apk. I have a transparent notification bar on on my laptop, but coz I was planning to do it myself, I but you could also extract the files from the T. E. A. M. rom zip.

I remember I saw one today actually. Look in the themes and apps section
Sent from my Xperia neo using Tapatalk on ICS
Oh, that was the statusbar widget. I'm at home, but it's quite late already. You can extracts the framework res and/or systemui from the zip of the T. E. A. M. ROM which is in the development section, otherwise I can send you the file tomorrow maybe. Or if your good with photoshop you could create it yourself.

thanks, but no thanks if you are talking about this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465537
it isn´t working...tried it and the statusbar dissappeared I had all the right permissions set and rebooted...nada so I restored the original systemui.apk
I can't read all post but if you want transparent status bar .
Rename app .zip
Unzip it find status bar bg (black bar)
Now simple PC program paint.net
Go to layers now transparency
Set to 150 save if you haven't or can't do post here let me know if that's all you want I'll do for you
No problem I'm doing other stuff
But I fit it in for you

Here's statusbar_background.png.
I tried to replace it with the default file in framework-res, but I can't notice any changes.
Here's the framework-res I modded.
I tried replacing the framework-res provided by you sdk16420 and now Im in a bootloop I backed up my original framework on a sdcard.I think I didnt properly replace the framework-res.apk I renamed the modified one to framework-res2.apk and copied to the system framework folder...then I deleted the original one there and all the apps started crashing until I was left with the black screen...then I managed to reboot it...and now Im in a bootloop can I somehow replace the original one from my sdcard with the one that is currently in the system framework folder ? through adb or something ? And thank you korma when I get out from this bootloop Ill attach my original framework-res.apk and if your not too busy then maybe you could mod it for me because Im not too good with modifying apks ?
Ok so I didnt find a way to restore it with adb...I know its possible, but I just didnt have time to look around for an answer so I reinstalled the rom.
So here is my framework-res.apk could someone please modify it and reupload it and tell me how to properly replace it so I dont end up in a bootloop again ? Thank you
