I have not tried it but most likely it won't work on HC the audio libs and routing are different between GB and HC. I'd say of you want it get it fast. If I were HTC I'd be on these guys like stink after paying $300mil for the Beats licence.
As I understand it, this mod will give you some of the Beats effect.
Quote “hello i created a zip i pulled the beats audio libs and bin files from a rom with beats audio and also added the xloud files to make it sound with better quality and also in some cases sounds even louder i have beats audio headphones and i was able to tell the difference try it out and let me know thanks “
I don’t think you can get full Beats without a kernel rewrite.
Here is a quote from someone who did incorporate the beats driver into a kernel for another device
“ I run warm rom 3.5 build 116 with my kernel... My kernel compared to the rezound on a spectrum analyzer is way better than the stock rezound in frequency response, snl levels, frequency range, distortion, and power output. My rezound kernel per user feed back on xda makes the stock kernel sound like crap ”
I have full Beats Audio on my HTC Evo 4G Phone and it required rom software and a custom kernel.

Just read this seems as HTC has opened up beats audio
http://blog.htc.com/2012/03/new-apis/
HTC opened their APIs so people could write apps to use Sense and other HTC Libs on HTC devices, not so people could steal their libs to put on other devices.
HTC bought and owns the rights to the Beats audio libs.
so won't work with HC? ugh. i want beats for HC bc i sit in bed listening to music through my rezound and using my view lol
Anyone notice since the new firmware update that the extended options for beats audio either has been removed or moved to where I cant find them.. I can only find the option to turn beats on or off now.. Cannot find anymore how to find settings for Beats ur beats, Beats solo or Other and then the additional equalized settings if not using beats to choose genre's or more bass, treble etc...
I know. It sucks. I have made a thread about it, but it's sad that it seems like no one cares. I really hope someone will fix it. No one cares about sound on our HTC evo lte 4g!! There are a lot of fixes on the OneX, but not for us. Hopefully this will change in time.
I bet flashing the one x one would be okay for this fix. Just do a Android backup first. And, lets know if it works

Beats is pretty much a gimmick anyway. You can get the same sound with any decent equalizer

Dolby srs, stereo3d, virtualization, and beats are all relative variations of stereo expansion. Anything you get with beats can be recreated with poweramp and subtle assist from DSP manager

Well i didn't face any such issue in nokia's so i adviced them. If you want to use your dell then revert back to 4.1 or try the custom roms available.

Viper4Android Configuration for SoundMagic E10

Cheers joe:beer:
Edit, rev 2 sounds a bit better, xtreme bass is too much for the volume i listen at (max:thumbup:)
Its the earphones that are holding me back not the irs, i'm expecting too much for a single driver.
I need the different frequencies seperating so I need a dual driver or if i win the lottery those 4 bass + 2 mid + 2 tweeter £1000 beasts!
Although the S2 is part of the problem, the sound is less "lively and separated" than phones with the Wolfson chip but its far from as bad as some make it out to be.
Then again knowing me i'd still find something to moan about

Vsonic GR07 48kHz
Is it possible to convert the vsonic gr07 profile to 48kHz.
VSonic GR07
I tried your irs file for the VSonic GR07 and it sounded terrible (at least to my ears). I thought that it could be the fact that it was designed for 44.1kHz and that I used 48kHz, so I created my own irs file with the mentioned frequency response. It sounded almost the same as before: terrible. So I went over to head-fi where I found some eq settings from other members for the GR07 and tried them out, and boy they are great. The dip at 6kHz may be a bit too much atm, but I'll keep improving it. IRS in attachment.

Hi, are you planning to release mh1 ddc?
Cheers, and thanks.
Hello,
Could you please make DDC correction file for Vsonic GR02 bass edition ??
I don't find any sound curve.
VDC file for Sony MH1C
Hey Joe, nice to see a fellow head-fier here in XDA.
I just recieved my mh1c a few days ago, instantly fell in love with their sound signature, and therefor started tweaking stuff on my Moto G trying to get the most out of these fantastic IEMs. That's how I discovered viper4android, and what can I say, other than... oh boy. Where has this app been hiding all this time!
Anyway, I'll get to the point. I stumbled upon this thread (fortunately) and I've been messing around with your IRS files for MH1C. I have to say I am really liking them, and that's something coming from me becasause I never seem to make positive changes to my sound whenever I try to mess with the EQ, no matter what I do! I always keep going back to default settings. Yes, I am a n00b at audio (as you probably can tell by now) but I'll learn some day. Anyway... as much as I like the sound of your .irs already, I cannot stop myself from wondering... would it be even better than this if we had a DDC filter?
I've been reading your thread regarding this matter at head-fi, too. From there it's easy to notice that you know what you're doing better than most, and I ended up trusting your ears. That's why I'd like to ask if we could get a VDC filter for these magical budget IEMs (if you think it is worthwile, of course). My driver is processing at 48k if that is any help, by the way.
Wether you decide on doing it or not, I want to thank you for all your hard work, it is really appreciated. I couldn't even dream I'd be able to get get such a sound quality from a smartphone + 30€ IEM setup, and that is thanks to guys like you who share their effort with the community. Last time I had a similar quality from a portable source was a few years back with my iPod touch + Phonak Audeo PFE 112, and that was more than double the price.
Peace.
AKG Y50
Could you do one for the AKG Y50, please?
I downloaded and copied the SE215 bassy IRS into the correct folder and selected it in V4A but it doesn't sound bassy at all. Its rather flat. Is there any solution?
Thanks!

Finally, something to upgrade from my original Android 6 Tab S 10.5! I'm guessing this quick Tab S5e release so soon after the Tab S4 is probably because the Tab S4 hasn't been a big hit. I also believe the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor is definitely an upgrade from the Tab S4 anyway. I just don't see where they put the fingerprint sensor. Is it in the same place as the Tab S1 10.5, or is it in the place where the Tab S2 and Tab S3 have it. Anyway, I'm standing by for this one to be available.

If it were not for the provision of cameras in vertical format it would be a good option.
This looks to be on my list. Have been looking at the S4 but at odds with the price. Fingers crossed it ticks all the boxes (camera position not an issue for me) and can get a keyboard for it and i will probably go for it.

But it has no headphone jack. Blah. I'd rather wait and buy a used Tab S4 than reward Samsung bean counters for such stupid behavior.
I am happy with my tabs t800, the motherboard is starting to fail but for $ 40 on AliExpress I have a tablet for 4 more years ?
I have to admit, i have had my T800 since pretty much launch. Its been used daily and took everything i have thrown at it (and it still does). Makes me wonder if a brand new S4 would offer the same?. Its one of those products that never really gets matched, so a good replacement is probably pie in the sky. Nothing lasts forever.

I have the Tab S 8.4"; and I was looking for a larger device: Tab S4 is too expensive for 4G ram. I was wondering if I should wait for this to come out or get a refurbished Tab S 10.5 from Amazon.

I should have UFS .. But I would not even think about it ... precisely the big problem with the tabs is the failure in the EMMC.
The only real issue i have with my Tab S is performance. Still running everything as stock, would you recommend Rooting and a custom Rom?. stick to what i have if i can make it a bit sharper, just seems a bit tired.

My performance issues stemmed from Firefox. I replaced it with a Chromium-based browser - Brave Browser specifically - and I'm good with interactive-1.3GHz.
You can try rooting, uninstalling the bloat (Knox, Hancom, Kids Mode and some more), tweak your Low Memory Killer (the default LMK for Marshmallow keeps a significant ram unused). When you occasionally need high performance, you can change the cpu governer to performance, or userspace with 900Hz as low. Note that both of these will consume a ton of battery when the device is idle.
In my experience, I tried Nougat custom ROM, but still preferred the stability (Xodo in particular) and camera of the stock ROM, besides the fact that the stock rom rotates the screen in under 2 sec, while custom ROMs require about 3 sec for screen rotation.
I also discovered that if you have the exynos chipset with BIG.little, then the per-clock performance (and overall power consumption) of the BIG cores is about 50% more than the little cores. And I am currently happy with the little cores alone! It's also the case, that I keep the device plugged in like a laptop. So, the device isn't going to get out-dated any time in the next 2 years either, for the basic use cases of reading and browsing!

I use RRemix which is based on lineage 7.1.2 but with more customization, to improve the sound use dolby atmos since it is a bit lower than the stock, for the camera I use Gcam, as Launcher I use Nova and I have the animations deactivated in options of developer, and the keyboard I use the Gboard in black. The gapps use the peak version without Google assistant that only consumes RAM .. This way I am very fluid and with more than 1.5gb free of RAM, in summary it is fluid with little battery consumption and without heating. Perfect.
Remix is updated every 2 days with the improvements that come in lineageos and always has the latest security patch.

I liked the S4 (after the stupid 4:3 aspect ratio of the S2 and the S3) but the virtual buttons (which I don't mind at all by themselves) in the same 10.5" display size mean that the actual usable real estate is most of the times actually smaller than my Tab S 10.5 LTE.
About the S5e, I *hate* the metal back. Glass is OK, soft/rubberized polycarbonate (like in the S1) is the ideal, both in tablets and smartphones.
All in all, the S5e is a quite good tablet (good specs and features, great display and weight etc) at a pretty good price (especially in a few months) but due to its size and the metal back I am not getting it.
I am just glad that the S1 is unbelievably still going strong (acceptable performance, which were never really great anyway, and SOT still a tad over 4 hours after more than 4.5 years!).
If I were forced to replace it before something really suitable finally comes along I would most probably get an S4 or S5e, depending on their price at the moment.

Root for Galaxy Tab S5e?
I haven't had a Samsung Android device since I got my Google Nexus 10 in what, 2012 I think. Is there any chance there will be a forum page created and development started for my newly acquired Galaxy Tab S5e?
I'm really not used to having a non-rooted device! The bundled crapware alone makes me a bit crazy...
Thanks!
I just saw an S5e at Best Buy. The form factor is excellent. It sucks it doesn't have a headphone jack though. I can see myself buying one of these tablets if they work fine (someone already reported issues with WiFi antenna). It's about time. The Tab S is just too slow for anything but streaming video.
