Today, Sony gave me a Xperia Tablet Z (I am a journalist).
I do not like the standard firmware from the company Sony... Let's all work together will force a standard AOSP 4.2.2...

I'm buying the Xperia Z2 with smartband in Brazil D), taking place of my Galaxy Note 2.
The question is:
Like the Samsung Galaxy S (first version), this Xperia Z2 have Digital TV included, and I believe is different than worldwide version.
So I need to find specific rom for Xperia Z2 (Brazil, like Galaxy S), or can I install the worldwide rom like my Note2?

I already bought my Xperia Z2 here in Brazil and I am loving it.
i am learning a lot with people in this forum! really cool.
the answer is that you can flash other ROMs BUT only the DTV will not work.
here in brazil we are still in the firmware .55
and the world has many updated ROMs for us to flash like .402 and .438
you need to choose: you prefer to watch TV on your phone or do you prefer to keep it up-to-date?

I really don't care about DTV in smartphone, I barely see TV at home :cyclops:

the question has been asked many times, the answer is we don't know for sure, but probably as the ZU is only a year old and Sony have given kitkat to many older xperia
Xperia z ultra got 4.4.4 before Xperia z
If the Google play edition gets its then for certain it will be easier to port it to the XZU and we wouldn't need to wait so long. I think Sony made a mention that they will only release the latest Lollipop based Stock rom 90days after it is officially released by Google to the consumers.

Hi guys. I have an Xperia Z2 running stock ROM and I have an ipad mini. I was wondering if there is a way to use my Z2 on the ipad mini (i know they are two completely different OS's). I have seen one of friends mirror his Samsung S3 on his Samsung Galaxy tab, of course this is a different case as they are made by the same manufacturer but I was wondering if there was some thing similar i could use between my Z2 and Ipad mini. Thanks for any help.
I think you can't since it is different OS-es. It is only possible if producer actually made synchronization protocol.
Hello, I'm thinking of making the move from Sony to Samsung. Sony don't do a phone small enough at the moment, so I'm looking at the Samsung s10e.
