Hello, I'm new to the forums and looking for a possible answer on why the HTC One X+ seems to be having so much trouble with activating the BT driver on the Sixaxis Controller Application.
I have a AT&T model HTC One X+, unlocked and rooted with QXSenseless v2.1.
I've tried several different custom ROMs including:
QXSenseless by Hasoon2000,
InsertCoin v1.1.3 by baadnewz,
CyanogenMod 10.1 by Lloir, and
AOSPA 3.15 by solomon56.
I know some of those are not finished but I tried. Anyway, none of them have worked in activating the BT driver. Does anyone know of a BT mod or a specific ROM that works for the BT on HTC One X+?
Much appreciated.
well the last two is easy to answer
they are unfinished!!
as for the 1st two no idea

Think you are out of luck for AT&T right now
Should work on AOSP 4.2.x roms with BLADE kernel for International
From what I understand, the bluetooth driver that app needs does not work with HTC's bluetooth stack, and I haven't found any way around it. Other bluetooth controllers should work though. It sucks, but it's a solution.

Examples, please. "Other" doesn't really help me.

Hey guys,
I've spent a lot of time here on XDA and around the internet and I can't seem to find an answer to my problem. I've been looking for a week or so, on and off.
I really would like to use my Vibrant for some mobile gaming, including some of the emulators that are available on the Market. What I would like to do is use the Wiimote Controller application alongside the emulators, because I never feel very comfortable using a touch-screen game pad.
The trouble is that for some reason, Samsungs Galaxy S line of phones will not sync up with the Wii Remote via Bluetooth. Most if not all HTC devices have been able to sync up, so I know the Wii Remote is capable of it. I spoke to the developer of the application and he said that for some reason the SGS line of devices just won't do it. He suggested a while back that flashing a stock-Android ROM should solve that problem.
My question, then, would be is there a Vanilla ROM based on 2.2 or do you guys know of a ROM that will accomplish what I'm going for? Right now I am using Frankin-TWIZ by Eugene and I love the ROM but the Wii Remote problem is still there.
So, I appreciate any advice and suggestions that you guys can offer and I do apologize if a similar thread has been started elsewhere, I really couldn't find anything.
Thanks so much,
Nate
Vanilla 2.2 will not help you here. The problem is in the Samsung implementation of Bluetooth. Bluetooth v3.0 + HS is on the virge of existence, but is not yet a fully ratified standard. Samsung used this fact to be able to release a device they call Bluetooth 3.0, but since there is no standard yet they can do whatever they want with. Apparently what they wanted was to not support Bluetooth game controllers.

So, I'm assuming there is no way for a Samsung Galaxy S device to use an older implementation of Bluetooth?
Thank you for your help, I really do appreciate it, this has been bugging me for a while haha
You should be able to gleam more information from this thread:

I am not saying that it is not possible, just that the ROM is not the issue, but rather the Bluetooth implementation is. It almost feels as if Samsung did this intentionality.
As far as I am aware all the ROMs here are based off either Samsung source or Samsung leaks. A TRULY vanilla ROM to get the original Bluetooth implementation would mean building it from Google source, which would be sans drivers and you would need to make everything work with your hardware by building your own drivers. I don't think you are going to find this just yet.
You could try CM 6.1, but it is not stable or final yet on the vibrant and I don't really know if it fixes the Bluetooth issue.
Everything works great with my MotoROKR S305 Stereo Bluetooth Headset, and that is all I really care about.

I'll take a look at that thread, and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out here.
If there's anything I can do for you to return the favor, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again
Hi,
I'm having a lot of problems with bluetooth on my thunderbolt. I've tried different bluetooth devices and different roms. After a couple days I can't even turn on the Bluetooth on the Thunderbolt, it won't let me enbable it.
So my question is, what affects the bluetooth functions on the thunderbolts? Is is the radio, is it the cdma radio or the 4g radio, is it the rom? What are the components that go into the bluetooth functions? Thanks for any advice.
anyone? I might help me troubleshoot the problem.
I don't have answers to your radio questions, but I do know there are ROMs with specifically-tuned BT goodies.
So reading through the features list and trying one with BT specific tweaks may be the way to go.
If none work, I'd speculate there's a hardware issue, yet once the right radio, rom, kernel mashup is found,
it usually works.
Tried Liquid Smooth or ProTekk, or Thunder Shed builds? BT works flawlessly for me on all those.

Unrooted phone and returned to stock and still having problems, looks like it's a hardware issue. I'll try and return phone under warranty. Thanks.
Hello I am hoping someone can help me find a solution to my constant bluetooth issue. My plantronics voyager pro+ & hd headsets were not connecting and would not re-pair with the phone. They pair and connect to every other device I've tried. I had the phone rooted with the htc version viper rom not supposed to be used outside of htc. I know there was an htc maintenance update version 2.13.651.1 but the teamwin/ venom viper rom I now have which I love has their own ota updates and the latest version of their rom 2.0.2 based on 2.13.651.1 so I must have the update which had the minor bluetooth fix. At this point I don't know what to do. I ama co tractor and rely heavily on using the bluetooth. Anyone that can shed some light on this would be greatly appreciated?
Did you check the viper rom thread yet? My jawbone bluetooth works fine on the stock rom and on stock w/ goodies. I know my plantronics m50 didn't work well on this phone, maybe troubleshoot that too.

Hi thanks I contacted plantronics and we tested both bluetooth headsets on 3 other devices- they paired up fine. This ruled out the headsets especially when the worked fine for several months since I got the phone. No havent checked the thread- am going to look it up now... did you see something there?
TJ
No but it might be rom related, I don't know since I don't use that rom.
Hi,
I have updated my international HTC One X to CM10 ver(10-20121221 NIGHTLY). However, i find that the GPS doesn't pickup any satellites at all.
I went back to my stock ROM and found that the GPS was working fine. On reading some threads about similar problems, i tried downloading AGPS data but that too did not work.
I also flashed a AGPS Fix for HTC One X ver3.1 but that too didn't work.
Is somebody else having a similar experience ? Were you able to fix it ? Any help would be great... I hate to go back to a Sense ROM.
Why don't you ask this in the One X forum?

Hello, I've been looking at some of the aosp roms that are available, but it seems like a handful of them do not have working bluetooth audio which is unfortunate as I use it all the time in my car. Having said that, would anyone know of any aosp roms that do support it, or better yet is there any known workarounds for this? Thanks!

I'm on CM 10.1 and have been streaming on my bluetooth speaker at work for a week now. Working great as far as I can tell.
