I have a U.S 5.0 device, i got pac-man/cm 10.1/paranoid android (not all at once, just the rom that mixes them, i forgot what it was called.) and i rebooted it after that, and it got stuck at loading screen to turn on. I rebooted it again, now it did not turn on at all. i plugged it in, it would turn on, go to battery bar screen for charging while off, and quickly shut off again in a matter of about a second. I can get into download mode. Anyone have any idea what i can do? or is my device now useless? any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hello, I have an HTC Amaze for over a year now. It was working fine, I rooted it CWM 5. and I installed Android revolution custom ROM. Until 2 weeks ago my battery was giving me some trouble, so i put away the phone for a bit, I bought a new battery then I notice the phone wasn't coming on. SO i charge for an entire day it still wasn't charging. I carried it to the shop. They said, that they don't know whats wrong with the phone.
I came home and decide am going to fix it my self i tried powering it into recovery mode, hard reset. screen is still blank, at lease that is what I thought. I look closely and then i notice the phone was in recovery mode but no lights were on in the screen. So normally I thought what anyone would of thought, the bulb in the screen or some kind of wiring went bad. The i tried wiping cache davlik install new new rom. Nothing worked. and this was defficult because I had to use a flash light to see on the screen. Lastly, i just click reboot and then the phone lights up perfectly and HTC logo comes up and then it blanks off again. So can anyone help? any advise

Find the way to install adb and communicate with the phone via adb and fastboot. If you can do that, you will be able to install anything necessary to get the phone working again.
First however, remove the battery, wait a few seconds, reinsert the battery and charge the phone overnight. Next day, try and start phone usual way--see what happens.
If NOTHING happens and you get a black screen, remove battery again for a few seconds, reinsert, and this time hold the power button in for AT LEAST 20 seconds.
See if that starts the phone.
If you get absolutely nothing again, find the "Unbricking Project" thread, but if you get any kind of screen, see if you can boot to recovery and restore anything. If you get a screen but can't do any kind of restore at all, find instructions for adb and fastboot I mentioned earlier, so you can install a new recovery and flash a new rom..
I did everything you said. Except I complete forget how to flash recovery and custom rom from my pc but when I type command in fastboot "adb devices" it was successful.
However, I charge the phone and I got into the recovery mode again and the wipe everything and then click backup and recovery. I rebooted the phone and it came on as if its a brand new HTC Amaze. I had the phone working i rejoice for a bit and then I realize I forget to put in my sim card. So i turn the phone off, put in the sim card. The same problem again. No led, no light in the screen, the phone atomatically boots into recovery mood.
One more thing. when booting into recovery mode. the phone doesn't go where I see the 3 android at the bottom and you see, fastboot, reset etc. It goes straight to cwm screen.

I think that is what you should see when you boot into recovery.
Do whatever you did before to get the phone lit up again, then change the display settings to maybe 3/4 brightness for instance. Reboot the phone normal reboot and see if it comes back with light.
If it does, maybe you are fixed enough to install the sim.
Do you possibly have a nandroid backup saved somewhere, you could put it back in the phone via recovery?
The phone is lit up again like you asked me to do. It was hard to see in recovery mode. But i used a flashlight to look on the screen of the AMAZE then i flash a new custom rom. After multiple tries I got it up. SO its up and the brightness is at its highest point. But I dont believe thats the problem. I just need to figure out how the light stays off when in recovery mood but comes on when booted normally. Its as though the recovery is broken. How do I fix it? if its broken
Basically, I tried Flashing my Z5C (Marshmallow 6.0.1) with CyanogenMod 13 and other files that I cant remember, things like boot.img, recovery.img..
It tells me to boot up my phone and I do it and it goes into Team Win Recovery Project. I cant get out of it by reboot, I have tried flashing roms and stuff using Flashtool. I'm really stuck, can anyone help me out? I'm getting 'processing of loader.sin finished with errors', who knows I'm probably doing it wrong though.
Any of you geniuses help me out? I'm in a bad position here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: Phone has entered a black screen, and is failing to turn on. Literally nothing will turn it on. It has the green light to show it is charging, but just doesnt work besides pressing the home button and the volume up button to force shut down the phone.
I am really in need of ideas, can anybody help?
Many thanks
UPDATE: Phone inst charging via wall. I tried a portable charger and that has turned the phone on, but it is only staying on the boot screen "SONY" with the little word "XPERIA" at the bottom.
What is seriously going on? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.
you have nothing loaded on the phone. you need to sit down and learn flashtool if you want to use a stock rom. if youre wanting root all you need to do is enter fastboot mode and flash twrp again, you can do that with adb or with flashtool, then flash xpower. you will get a full package with xpower.
Thanks for replying man.
At first I wanted to root, now I just want my phone back to normal, then I'll probably go over Flashtool and learn it all.
So what do you think is recommended?
Thanks
NEW UPDATE: I messed around with Flashtool and I flashed CyanogenMod13 onto it successfully. If I ever wanted to go back to normal android, android 6.0.1 marshmallow, how would I do so?
Many thanks
Basically, Samsung phones being Samsung phones, my phone turned off at 50% for reasons i can't explain because my phone isnt rooted or messed arounded with by a hacker. But right now, it is off. And when i put in my charger it says its at 0, 1 or 2%. Ill leave it for 2 hours and its still at 0, 1 or 2%. When i try to turn it on, it goes to the samsung logo and then shuts off. Recovery mode: i attempted going into recovery and it goes to the logo, and surprise, it shuts off. Download mode: stays stuck on download screen. I need your guys' expertise, please and thank you. maybe theres a windows software that can fix this? or someone tell me im screwed so i can go to telus and demand a new phone.
Sounds like it's a battery issue. It's not hard bricked since it does reboot to Download Mode. You can try to recover by installing the original firmware via either Odin or Smart Switch. If that doesn't work, then get another battery.
Hi all,
To get right to the point, my phone doesn't switch on, and I cannot get into recovery/download mode.
The story:
After my apps kept on crashing for no reason, I restarted the phone. After the restart, when it asked my pin, the google app kept on crashing and the phone completely froze up.
Here is where I suspect I made a HUGE mistake. I Took out the battery and started up the phone again. It immediately told me that the system is corrupt and "cannot be trusted".
I continue the boot process, only to land in a boot loop. I take out the battery once again and restart the phone.
After displaying the LG logo, it just turned off. And that was the last time I could get it on.
I tried booting into recovery, but the phone won't even switch on to begin with.
Absolutely no response. Screen stays pitch black.
I tried doing it with the USB cable in, same result. Nothing.
I also read up on the different combinations to get into download mode to no avail.
Stock ROM and firmware installed, no mods whatsoever.
Android 8.0
Can anyone please suggest anything I can do to save my device?
Hi guys, I have a samsung galaxy j600fn/ds, tryed to flash twrp, something went wrong and now I'm locked on the ''Samsung'' logo screen
I guess it is brick, though I'm totally stuck at the screen, the phone won't even turn off, so I don't know how to acces download mode to install stock firmware.. anyone can be of help?
EDIT: solved.. of course the solution was just to wait for the battery to be completley depleted, I just got scared there not beeing able to do anything
Wait-
So you just let your phone in bootloop all night (?), then you charge it without turning it on,
waited till 30%, and then you put it in download mode and installed the firmwere?
Does it really work? 'cause I tried to do that before, and the bootloop stopped. I tought I ended up into an hard brick.
I pressed powen and tried to put the phone into download mode, but nothing.
I put the usb on my pc, and odin was actually reading it, so I tried again and again to get into the download mode.
Afret 30 minutes, i pressed power again, (and finally) the boorloop restarted.
Well um.. the phone now is probably at 60%.. I hope it wont stop again, and I hope this method will work.
