CM stand for Cyanogenmod is like the Brand new google rom without any customization inside and you will get better performance and the stock feel of android inside CM and CM doesn't support Cybershot...however Enigma is a stock based ROM which customization the Stock ROM with adding some feature tweaks and etc to it.
PS : Yes CM 9 is stable enough for daily use and have a great performance

Yeah, unfortunately there are few Aosp Roms for our phone.
you have to live with it till new developers get interest in building more Aosp Roms
Swyped from my Galaxy SII
Sorry,i forget this section is shared with l9100G model btw i have GT-l9100 (non-G)
Reason i am asking for AOSP Is its smooothness and non-jackiness touch reponse unlike cm-9-10 or AOKP.
I just love AOSP builds cause they perform better overall whereas in other you will get loads of feature like Rom control etc
AOKP / CM10 / MIUI builds get very low score in benchmark tests ( i am not a benchmark freak but still i want my phone to perform better not worse )

Benchmarks are plain rubbish. For example, if you apply some CFS tweaks, UI responsiveness will be greatly improved at the expense of benchmark score.
Try Aosp builds
1. Slim bean: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846227
2. Clear bank ROM: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604366
These two ROMs are original development AOSP builds

[Q] confused between CM(ICS/JB) and other ROMS

Hello
I tried searching the forum but couldn't find a similar thread..sorry if i overlooked.
I am confused if i should flash CM ROM's or not....i know they are good on performance and good for gaming....but the problem with my LwW is that the camera quality with a CM ROM is not good...also i read somewhere that the front camera isn't working.
Currently i am using REALICS...this ROM is very good but sometimes tha games lag
I used CM with my earlier phone(X8) and liked it immensely...but i am really confused about it in my current phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The thing about which i am confused is that should i flash CM or should i stay with my current ROM (REALICS)...i've seen that the camera quality is not good on the CM roms...moreover the front camera wont work on my LwW
but i really like the performance that the CM roms give
Hmmmm.....
CM7 ------ Gingerbread Base With A Few ICS stuff implement....
CM9 ------ ICS Base With A Few JB stuff implement....
CM10 ---- JB v4.1.2 Base....
CM10.1 - JB v4.2 Base....
So as for stability, CM7 and CM9 are the best....CM7, CM9 and CM10 got fully working front camera....

Do u guys think that it is the time to move to cm?

Now that everyone is so busy with jelly bean, seeing that ics is slowly abandoned I think I should upgrade to jelly bean... BUT the official Rom has quite a few bad reports already... So I was thinking of going to cm once it has a stable release... What do u guys think?
Sent from my brain which is in Bahamas
If You're gonna wait for CM... By the time it's usable regularly/heavily the stock ROMs camera( the only bad report mind you) will be fixed.
So now you have both Stock nd CM functional.
Choice is yours

I have switched back to the stock rom for a specific reason, I like the bravia engine and xloud features. Basically there are lots of different reports that you can mod these features but I personally haven't had any success. CM9 did rock otherwise. Its the best UI experience ever.
Besides this, there is no other reason to stick to stock/custom rom. I do love the fluidity stock based custom rom by Pulak and so far its got the best battery backup.

As far as the changelog all has been fixed by Munjeni(Bless him) in the Ported Stock JB ROM.

[Q] Change screen colors on CM 10.2

Hey, first of all thanks alot for all the development and crazy amount of information going on in here
I have searched but unfortunately I couldn't find a solution to my problem so I'm asking here. I recently installed official Cyanogenmod 10.2 stable release on my i9300 international S3 (since CM11 gave me some bugs) and it's pretty great so far, but I've been searching a way to change the color settings of the screen. On CM there are some built in ones but I don't really like those. On the 4.3 Stock Samsung ROM there was "Professional Photo" or something like that that I did like. Does anyone know what I can do? If I understood correctly kernels can do that sort of stuff but I didn't find a kernel to suit my needs.
Thanks in advance

Yes you understood it correctly If your Planning to run a ROM based on CM Screen modes like Dynamic, Professional Photo etc Are available only through custom Kernel.
In Sammy as v all know you can change it under settings but for CM unfortunately you have to stick to Kernel Settings to do that.
Almost All popular Kernels Have that option under Screen>MDNIE mode
All you have to do is select the right kernel
Unfortunatly You asked a Question in this Thread and Also Gave an answer for the same.
Just remeber that for CM ul have to stick to some Externel Kernel as these options wont be available with stock CM 10.2 Kernel as well
Just as a recommendation give GoogyMax , Boeffla, Agni a try as these gave me really good results(Special Thx to Dev's of the same )

I've looked into GoogyMax and Boeffla but as far as I could tell they don't support color changing. If I do install them what can I do to change the colors?
And I have yet to install a kernel, does it come in a zip file that I can install in CWM?

I'm really frustrated because I like vanilla android and CM is just so much faster than TouchWiz (I'm no won Android Revolution HD 40.0), I switched just because of the GPS issue but I really don't want it as my daily driver.. Maybe a different AOSP based ROM you know that the GPS would work in?

Strange To hear that. Well ive never used Stock CM so cant Comment on that GPS issue.
As Far As Now the AOSP or AOKP Roms ive used have never Had this GPS issue. You Can Try Anyone From Below Thread (CM 10.2/1)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/orig-development/10-04-index-roms-t2218825
For me i would have chosen between PACMAN PARANOID n SLIMBEAN . All are great for Daily use
Also Check out This ROM. MY personal favourite Amongst All. Bug Free and Stable , Archidroid but its KK

Yes CM is definately Smoother than TouchWIz( Thx to Free RAM ). But Try out the ArchiDroid Stock Sammy ROM. You Might Like it for its smoothness
Rom recommendations are not allowed on xda. You have to try out and search for which rom suits u the best same goes with kernels
