Guys so I woke up this morning with no Internet connection. I am completely stock unrooted. It was fine when I went to sleep. I can call and text just no data. It shows disconnected/turning on/ disconnected over and over on the mobile network option. I have toggled it, airplane mode, battery pull, sim pull, booted up with no sim the reinserted. Any ideas maybe borked SIM card?
Nvm guys there was an outage this morning. Thread can be closed.

Hey. New on here and have a problem with my TB.
When I try to enable Data Connection the 3G Icon apprears in the notification bar for like 2 seconds then disappears. I tried turning it on with a widget, app called "Network", and walling the *#*#4636#*#* but still it appears for a second and goes off.
Call Verizon as it sounds like a phone issue.

I retired my Vibrant and removed the SIM. But am still messing around with it.
Something I'm having a problem with though is since removing the SIM card the battery has been really bad. I'll go from 100% to 15% battery overnight.
I disabled the radio in the *#*#4636#*#* menu.
Is it normal for removing the SIM to do this to the battery? I assume it's trying to lock onto something, but thought disabling the radio would fix that. Battery stats show "Android OS" using 90% of the battery overnight.
Just removing the sim card doesnt disable the radio, you need to go in and deselect all mobile networks under settings or put the phone into airplane mode, otherwise the phone will continously search for networks.
This search for networks or connections is likely what is killing your battery
I've disabled data in mobile networks, I've disabled the radio, I've put in airplane mode. Yet the phone always stays awake without a SIM card.
I put my active SIM card back in the phone and sure enough, now the phone will sleep when I turn off the screen.
So I tried an inactive SIM card, but again it's staying awake all the time.
Well just an FYI. Think I figured it out. Using TitantiumBackup I froze the phone.apk and telephonyprovider.apk apps and now the phone goes to sleep when the screen goes off and the battery is lasting now.
Sorry if posted before but searched on here on googled to no avail.
I'm running cm9 rc2 on my sg2, recently I've got a issue with my wifi. It seems to happen ever other day where at 02:06 the wifi turns on and stays on. Meaning if I've not plugged in to charge it drains the battery.
My phone always gets switched to airplane mode when I sleep and runs juice defender(which in its log states the time of 02:06 that wifi has been switched on by user), I'm also running tasker which checks to make sure other conditions are not running then will place into airplane mode and set cm9 profile to sleep.
Anyone had this issue? Or anyone got any idea a program that can log why wifi has come on by itself?
Thanks

I'm very sure an app or wrong profile settings is responsible for your problem,
This is the cause if the problem:
-the app needs internet around 2am,
-it discovers your phone is in flight mode
-it has a permission or settings to turn on Wi-Fi in the absence of mobile data.
-it then turns in your data.
Just try to track it down
-this app will sure cause a wakelock at that period,
-You can use better battery stats to track the app down
Good luck

Hi guys, android noob here. I haven't really found an issue similar to mine so if this is a repost, sorry!
My HTC One keeps reconnecting to wifi after I've turned it OFF. I go into settings and turn wifi off, and it automatically turns it back on after 30 seconds to a minute. It's eating my battery and I can't figure out if there is an app or something in settings that triggers wifi to turn on!!
Any ideas?? Thanks a ton!
Also I'm on T Mobile and I don't have a data plan so I keep mobile data turned OFF. However there is always a 4g icon that shows up in the status bar. I don't think it's actually using any data but kind of strange that it never goes away.
hello,
I am have a xperia tablet z LTE version bought from EE UK. Yesterday night i was watching movie and after it got I switched of my wifi connection and data connection and went to bed. In morning I got some messages on FB and Hangout. After some time my tablet started showing some notification and some sounds of it. After which I realised that the msgs which I got were being displayed tablet even when my wifi and data connection were off.
This happened before also but i never realised it. Please help me how to find solution for this.

no airplane mode activated but all connections are off.
I am not sure but it might be some daemon still running despite the deactivation of wifi and data... try enabling airplane mode and check if it still uses data.
