[Q] Tasker Profile : Auto- Mute in Meetings (Gmail-Calendar) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've tried for several hours to let this profile work, no success so far .
In Tasker I've created the following:
- New Profile , State , Calendar Entry
Title: MuteonMeetings
Location : Empty
Description : Empty
Available : No / Yes (Profile 1) (Profile 2)
Calendar : Google : + (Gmail-adress). I've tried basically all my available Calendars (individually also)
- New Task, Audio, Silent Mode
Mode : On / Off (Profile 1) (Profile 2)
If : (select option) Is not selected. Maybe I need to use it??
And another Task that shows in Text-Plain that the meeting this start (Flash)
And this task is linked to the profile.
I've created another profile and task with the opposite values, to UN-mute automatically after the meeting is over.
I made some test--appointments and synchronized my calendar on phone. When the time of the event hits, nothing happens.
Even in the Tasker Log , it says that the profile and task are not started . When I run manually both of the created Tasks for Mute / Un-mute it works.
It looks like that Tasker is not checking my Calendar (Time/Events) etc.
Thanks for your help in advance!
Regards,
Jurgen

Bump :fingers-crossed:

It works almost
- New Profile , State , Calendar Entry
Title: MuteonMeetings (TITLE must be * )
Location : Empty (Location must be * )
Description : Empty (Description must be * )
Available : No / Yes (Profile 1) (Profile 2)
Calendar : Google : + (Gmail-adress). I've tried basically all my available Calendars (individually also)
- New Task, Audio, Silent Mode
Mode : On / Off (Profile 1) (Profile 2)
If : (select option) Is not selected.
The * ( stands for any name ) / ALL.
But the Profiles at the moment work only once. I have to find a way to stop the profile after the task is done. Could anyone help with that?
Thanks in advance!

This is a useful profile. I also feel to make a such a profile. Could you please tell me what do you mean by "Available : No / Yes (Profile 1) (Profile 2)".
If you can, please send me the profile backup.
Thanks!

The first post worked after all. It didn't work because a had a event scheduled for the whole day. Then it starts to mute it, till the event stops. Any new created events between that time, Tasker will not react then. Just make sure that you schedule the events (not just click : event takes the whole day ) . The availabe No / Yes has to do with your G-mail event Settings. You can set there : Busy, Free and another kind of selection. Available no = Busy.
(Profile 1) ( Profile 2) means that I created 2 profiles with 2 tasks. One profile checks the calendar and has a task to mute it (if availabe is no) and the second profile with task checks the calendar and has a task to unmute it (available is yes).

Progams in StartUp, What do they do?

Dear All,
Does anyone know what do the programs in the StartUp Folder do?
I have just hard reseted my XDA-II and I found following links in this folder
1. AFlashMan.lnk
2. BPInsert.lnk
3. BTIcon.lnk
4. CFlashMan.lnk
5. CheckAutoRun.lnk
6. HandsFree.lnk
7. IA_Caller_ID.lnk
8. MMReg.
9. NFlashMan.lnk
10. poutlook.lnk
11. SMSReceiver.lnk
12. Socket SDIO WLAN.lnk
13. stk.lnk
14. TFlashMan.lnk
15. USSD.lnk
These links are relative to the executed programs in Windows folder with the same names, some of them I can guess for example
HandsFree-Support HandsFree Calling.
IA_Caller_ID-Identify the Caller in Contacts
SMSReceiver-Send and receive SMS
Socket SDIO WLAN-Support Card SD Wi-Fi
BTIcon - The Bluetooth Manager Icon at the bottom right.
But what do the others do?? (What do the ?FlashMan.exe do???)
I deleted All the links that I dont khow what they do and it seems to me that nothing happned. Did I do the right?
Please comment
Thanks!
I think! the ?flashman.exe are the individual programs used to backup things to the non-volitale ROM.
AFlashman.exe = Appointments
CFlashman.exe = Contacts
TFlashman.exe = Tasks
NFlashman.exe = coNnections
Why they made this 4 seperate process is beyond me, I removed the ones I don't use, (I only backup the contacts). BPInsert I've also removed, doesn't seem to hurt Bluetooth.
MMReg = is probably Mutlimedia Messaging registration
poutlook = I think your address book, (something to do with that)
stk = is the SIM card toolkit, (you need it to run the SIM tools like syncing
USSD = I don't know that one myself?
Wow!
There's a lot of programs in the startup folder on your machine!
I only have:
aFlashman.lnk
cFlashman.lnk
clear_notify.exe
IIWPO_startup.exe
PhonExt.lnk
PocketNav.lnk
poutlook.lnk
Does anyone know if this means I won't have full functionality of my XDA?
(It's an XDA I - RS 4.21 ROM 4.01.16 (Tmobile))
I'm sure I remember having handsfree.lnk in there before I did the upgrade. What's happened to it? Should I be worried?
Hi all,
I hope i'm wrong, but you shouldn't have messed up with those links especially the ?flashman.exe as i believe they are responsible for the ROM to RAM flashing upon soft reset.
note: the number and names of the .lnk files are different between the XDA I and XDA II due to the additional s/w on XDA II (BT and WiFi for example)
As far as I know those FlashX files are for backing up contacts, tasks and appointments to non-volatile memory...
AFlashman.exe = Appointments
CFlashman.exe = Contacts
TFlashman.exe = Tasks
NFlashman.exe = coNnections
So if you don't use the Permanent Save feature (on Control Panel) you can safely delete them from the startup folder.
Best regards,
Rayan
IIWPO_startup.exe = Anti-theft program
xFlashMan.lnk = processes to synchronize u're contacts, calendar, tasks... in ROM (non-volatile backup)
poutlook.lnk = pocket outlook process (necessary for pocket word & excel)
SMSReceiver.lnk = process to monitor SMS reception & save incoming SMS in DB
stk.lnk = SIM Toolkit
USSD.lnk = the GSM service (monitors incoming calls, dialing numbers, etc...)

Actually this has to do with the permanent save - you can delete it and still synchronize with the PC & use tasks/contacts etc. At least I did ..
poutlook.lnk = permanent save?
i never knew about that! :?
are you sure its safe to terminate this process??? :roll:
poutlook starts up with 1 thread and is responsible for everything that occurs in tasks contacts and calendar. poutlook starts at least 1 new thread for each when they are started for the first time. I do not think it has anything to do with permanent save. If you kill it or send it a WM_CLOSE it ends along with the contacts, tasks and calendar with no apparent other side effects. I would like to know how it has anything to do with word and excel, they are pword.exe and pxl.exe for the process names. Ending the process for the flashman's has varying results. Sometimes the whole ppc freezez up. Sometimes the current window continues but once the app closes the os freezes.
Dose anyone know if there is somewhere in the registry where a list all non os exe file names or paths is?

Instructions
After installing. Start the application and run the Updater. After that, go to menu -> options -> Accounts to create a new account.
Choose the desired provider and fill in the necessary information.
Now you're ready to use VoipSMS!
SmartPhone
The original SmartPhone version is still available. It will not be updated anymore. I'll give limited support in this thread.
The SmartPhone version can be found under Attachments.
Cool...I'm in a similar GF situation...I assume this will work with just about any VOIP provider as long as I know their link? I am using VoipStunt.com...
I didn't know about VoipStunt. But it seems to be another VOipBuster clone So it works.
Use this url: https://myaccount.voipstunt.com/clx/sendsms.php
Awesome...Thanks...Ya, VOIPStunt has some better rates for SMS to the places I need to send them...Been using them for about 2 months now, and its a great service. Much better than Skype.
It's funny to see the differences in prices between VoipBuster, VoipRaider and VoipStunt.
The application is exactly the same (except the looks) as well as the site... but the prices are different.
I'm see one bug in this software, when I'm trying to send sms for example to free destination 001112223344, but voipsms deleting zeros and sending messages to 1112223344, then I receive - insufficient funds on my account or didn't send any messages if account funded. Another one with the same zeros, when I'm trying to send sms to 111002223344 (111000223344 any numbers with double and more zeros) it sends to 1112223344 so number is wrong.
Can it be fixed?
Thank you.
Ah I see.
Bug 1: Only leading zero's should be removed. This is because of the format that VoipBuster expects. The format should be: [countrycode without the 00 or + sign][areacode without leading zero][number]
So for holland it should be +31 0123 456789
This number must be formatted to: 31_123_456789 (without the underscores)
Bug 2: 00110022003344 is changed into 11223344. This is wrong. It must be 110022003344.
I'll try to fix these bugs tonight. Thank you very much for testing and posting!
The bug with the incorrect formatting of the phonenumber is solved in the new version (1.1)
The other issue about the insufficient funds is not a bug. It's the result which the application receives after sending the message.
Great software.
However, I am still facing the same problem which I face with other VoIP SMS Software and that is my phone number is not sent so the user does not know what I am the one sending the text message (unless I tell them).
Am using VoipStunt which the URL you provided.
That is something which can only be set with the Windows Application. There you can verify your number and set your 'caller id'.
As far as I know.
If not, please let me know.
I have verified my numbers and I can even select those numbers when I use the Windows application.
I am currently located in the US so the country code is +1. I entered 11234567890 (where 1234567890) is my number and +11234567890 but in both instances, the ID that the recipient received was some other number (which is not even in my address book).
When I used other VoIP SMS software, the recipient would see my username when I sent an SMS using such software but now with your software, it sends something else altogether.
Do let me know if you need more information on my part.

I'll try to search things out how to arrange this. It would be a very welcome feature.
I'll keep you informed. For now I don't need any additional information though I don't have any idea how to do this.
Hi Rapsody! Thank's for your great application. I would like to ask you something. I have tried to use voipsms to send messages via voipraider. Messages sent to Greece are free via voipraider. I can send messages to Greece normally using the pc application and the html link. When I try to send a message from voipsms I get the message that says that I don't have enough credit to send a message. I don't need to have credits because messages to Greece are free and I can send a message from the pc application. Why is this happening? Thank's again

That's something I discovered as well.
The application sends a message using the HTML link of Voipbuster/VoipRaider. The result of that call is an XML file. The content of the XML contains that exact error message. So basically the error that you have insufficient funds are coming directly from the server.
I have the feeling (and I also saw other people talking about it at the forum of VoipBuster) that the nr of free messages is limited.
That's weird because after many unsuccessful attempts with voipsms I can send sms normally via the pc application. So the problem is not the limit (even if there is a limit). I will buy credits and test it again. Thank's anyway

Ok thanks for your information. I'll try to find some more information about it. Unfortunately there is not a lot of information available on the internet.
On this forum there's another tool which enables you to send messages using VoipBuster/Raider. Could you try if that application has the same 'issues'? It has more features and support for more Voip Applications.

You mean ipsms by skandler? I have already tried this application. In this application I get the error code "invalid username" when I try to send sms via voipraider. I am sure that the username is correct so I can't send messages from there either. In general with voipraider weird things happen with all the applications that I have tried.
That's weird because it's just a VoipBuster 'clone'
I've dropped a question at Skandler's thread. Hopefully he can tell me a little bit more.
Sipgate
Hi folks,
Are there any plan to make VoipSMS compatible with Sipgate. I've got an account with them and I'd rather avoid registering with multiple providers.
Their API is already out but I cannot make it work.
Cheers

doesn't work
I have installed VoipSMS1.1, but it doesn't do anything (the program doesn't start). Do I need the .NET Compact Framework for it? My PDA is an IPAQ 6300.
Thank you.

[POLL] which new app is most desired by YOU?

Please read these 5 ideas I have and then make a vote to the app you would love to use the most and would most likely donate towards serious (and opensource!) development. If you are unclear about anything, please ask before voting! Thanks.
1. Better FaceBook Sync - like BookSync, but instead of being restricted to Facebook's ToS it would use the html interface to additionally sync these infos:
* Sync all friends photos with captions tags and comments for offline browsing.
* Phone numbers
* Email addresses (yes, I am aware it's a .gif)
* Addresses
* Facebook Events (and Friends' events)
* as well as profile pics (high res), date of birth (for birthday reminders), name (girls who marry update on your phone instantly)
* option to only silently sync when using wifi (and of course, only updates get pulled down)
2. Better Lock - replace the default WM 6.x security lock feature where you enter a PIN every 24 hours or so, with a much more friendly AND more secure version:
* Incremental Challenge/Response: Have your PIN as 8 or so digits but every 12 hours or so (configurable) it will ask for just 1 digit ("Enter the 4th digit of your PIN"). Enter it wrong and it'll ask for 2 digits now. Wrong again.. 4 digits and so on. Additionally, every 24 hours or so, ask for extra digit.
* While locked, allow for basic functions such as wifi on/off, email/text/call anyone already in address book, turn device off, allow reading of texts that contain a magic password (so owner can communicate with "thief").
* Button to show owner info (incase it's lost) with sub-button to call owners emergency contact number
* 3 invalid attempts = phone texts and calls emergency number and/or integrates with RemoteTracker
3. Better Marketplace - like Microsoft Marketplace and AppToDate merged with improvements
* Microsoft Marketplace requires each dev to upload and maintain thier app (never gonna happen with 100% esp abandoned but still useful apps)
* AppToDate is abandoned? Last update 2008..
* Allow free software only!!!!
* Allow trusted mods to upload apps on behalf of devs, making this BetterMarketplace very comprehensive
* UC compatible & allowing user to record installed apps to our server so after hard reset you can enter user/pass and automagically get all your favourite apps installed
* Compatibility Matrix: only apps that work on your phone are displayed (eg, qvga/vga and wm5/wm6 and so on)
* Popularity Contest: rank apps based on usage in total minutes. This way, only the truly useful apps get to top of list
* Install via web.. using your user account, you can click to install from the Web interface... and your ppc will amazingly start to install it! ppc application interface will exist too ofc.
4. Mobile Proxy - a http proxy on your phone that modifies your web experience via plugins ideas such as:
* Google Maps Mobile - allow supercaching.. which means remember map segments forever on SD card. Perhaps even precaching your area.
* Windows Live Messenger - allow use of MSN when offline. I often turn my phone on/off often and drives friends insane as they see me go offline..online..offline..online. To solve this, this proxy plugin could re-route MSN protocol via our desktop computer so that a) we can sign into multiple locations, something the ppc app doesnt support yet and b) we can receive and view messages we missed while ppc was offline, same for sending msgs could be queued.
* Ad blocker, flash blocker, javascript blocker
* Send custom headers to custom http servers (to fake/force mobile or desktop view per site)
5. Email Redefined - not too sure about my competence to pull this one off though.
Instead of receiving a torrent of email to my device, half of which I don't care about, separate emails into 3 distinct channels:-
1. General crap. When received has no notification, not even a number next to the titanium email plugin.
2. From humans not in my address book. New senders get an instant reply asking them to complete a captcha if they want my mobile to buzz.
3. From friends who are in my address book. I would get a sound played, much like a 'new SMS' sound, and titanium would show "1" next to email.
* If possible with Mobile Outlook, treat facebook inbox-messages as emails.. so buzz, play a sound, and allow reply (via fb).
* If possible (might cost the user), add email push facility whereby the phone receives a hidden SMS text when you have a new email worthy of a beep/buzz, wakes up (but with screen still off and device locked), connects to data (wifi/3g, as configured), gets the email, then beeps/buzzes.
Better Facebook and Marketplace definitely! Those are a must!
Can't decide between Marketplace and Proxy. I LOVE your ideas for marketplace, but I've been wanting to sign into multiple locations since I've had IM on my phone. I hardly ever sign into my IM's because of it. I think I'm going with Marketplace with Proxy being a close second.
Bump (1 of 2).
It would be useful if some of you could post a reply like the above 2 people did too.. as it seems voting in a poll does not bump this thread.. (a forum bug imho). Also useful if anyone can point out competition (free or payware) to each and any of my ideas, unless already mentioned. Thanks!

Help with EndUser Profiles in CM11

Hi there,
I am using Legacy Xpreia CM11 on my LWW. I am having problem in setting up a end user profile.
Problem statement: During night I want all notifications to go on mute except for Hangout & Whatsapp.
Solution tried but not working:
Under Settings--> Profiles-->Night
1) Notification (set to 0/7) - checked
2) Created a new App Group called 'Whatsapp' & added both application to it(Whatsapp & Hangout)
3) Opened this new app group (Whatsapp) and configured it as below:
3a) Notification mode - On

Calendars - Speak and/or Individual alerts alrams Per Event - What Can Be Recommended

Does anybody know of any Calendar apps that have the ability to speak?
OR
Any Calendar apps that have 'Individual alerts/alarm' per event ?
e.g. event 1 at say, 2.00 AM - Alarm 1 (e.g. a bell)
event 2 at say, 3.30 AM - Alarm 2 (e.g. TaDa)
This could really save me (and others) a lot of time downloading every single calendar app in the universe (i.e. google play),
just to find out that they only provide 1 single audio sound for ALL events. :crying:
(dont mind commercial apps either !)
Appreciate any help here .
