Hey folks,
i own a mediapad S7, which fell on the ground yesterday. The plastic cover which covers the camera came off. The Pad itself seems to work fine, but I'm wondering... behind the plastic cover are 2 connections for antennas (looks like TS9 connectors) but no antennas are connected. Did i loose the antennas during the crash? Can anyone provide a picture of how his/her pad looks like under the cameras plastic cover?
The antennas are the black foil patches covering the plastic underneath both covers. They use different connectors.

usually there are two types of connectors either ts9 or crc9, the difference is listed here

I read the other posts about this regarding the HTC Sensation, they explained it as being a hole used for noise cancellation. My issue is, if you pop the back cover off there are no sensors underneath the holes.
Can anyone explain what they are for? I'm kind of intrigued by them....

the holes are there because that metal contact on the other side of the cover needs to be pushed through the plastic because the secondary LTE antenna is actually molded inside the plastic of the battery cover. Those holes allow the contact to make contact with the antenna.

Entirely off topic....but I freakin' love the pic in your signature.
Hi!
I wanted to buy a brushed aluminum back cover for my S2 that I found on eBay but I was wondering, will it disrupt the phone signal and interfere with the antenna?
I've attached some pics, I think it makes it look stunning.
Aluminum? It doesn't disrupt any signal. Some magnet does, yet I never seen any disruption when I used my Molife case which had a flip lock magnet.
AWESOME .............!!!!!!!!!!
I've loved my Poetic case, it's a real winner in my opinion, but last night, sitting on the couch, I felt a rough corner and on examination found the plastic had cracked and fell off in my hand.
I've never dropped my tablet. The piece that broke off was near the speaker and it's relatively thin there.
I sent in for an RMA, hopefully they will just replace it.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Only issue I have with the case is it would be nice if it had a 2nd hole for the camera on the front so when the front is folded all the way back you could still take pics.

You can do this hole itself. It's not so hard.
Find some pen or ballpoint which one have metallic body and this body is with needed diameter. unscrew the body to pieces. Now take off the case, place on some cutting board. Measure the correct place where the hole must be and measure again three times. Take the small hammer and with this metal body make the hole, hammering once or twice. It cuts good hole.
Actually i'm not familiar with this case material but for some materials you can heat the pen metal body.
And yes, you can use any small metal pipe which size is for you needs.
Just thought I'd share my setup... Not the most sophisticated, but works super well.
Those are three small magnets glued under the plastic at the top & a piece of steel plate in the case.
The charger bought here: http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Each...d=1431530158&sr=1-9&keywords=wireless+charger
I made the bottom lip out of this: http://www.amazon.com/Clipper-Car-M...842&sr=8-11&keywords=universal+grip+car+mount

Wow that's a really tight setup. Nice. Have the magnets affected the screen on/off magnetic detection that the phone has for folio cases? How have they held up while driving?
I ask because people in the airdock thread are saying the N6 falls off a lot and messes with the magnet sensor. Seems like you've got a strong enough setup though.
No, the magnets do not affect that function at all as they are far away enough from the middle.
Yes, there's a lot of pull from the magnets and not even a shake during driving. The phone holds very firmly in place. It even seems like overkill to have used 3 of them.
This is my video about the Qifull wireless car charger dock. ...

anyone see a qi enabled mount that plugs straight into the 5v socket?
i have scoured the web and didnt find any.. not even 1.
thanks
hello,
has anyone tried to put a metal plate for magnetic car mount under the backplate of the phone?
it was possible on the oneplus 3T: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70131154&postcount=11

Why would you put it under the backplate and thus void your warranty?
Those mounts are usually sold with an adhesive plate and a smaller one that fits perfectly in any case...
i do not use any case and the plate on the backplate looks awful.
has anyone opened his OP5 yet?
I have a small little square plate that I put under my official OnePlus sandstone case and it works perfectly. You can't even tell it is there. It adds no bulk at all, nor does it heat the phone up or anything, I just leave it there all the time. I will take a couple pictures when I get a chance.
this works when using a case
Does having a magnet so close to the internals (when mounted) affect the internals in anyways? Such as the battery or reception?
