I'm trying to swap my external sd with the internal sd. I've been playing with the vold.fstab file, using quite a few examples I've found but after rebooting I keep getting sd not mounted when I try to access it through root explorer. I want to make this into a monster ebook reader with about 10gb of books but all the readers want to rewrite the books they find to the internal sd.

It clearly says mount the [email protected] (internal sd) to /mnt/sdcard and external, physical sd to /mnt/sdcard2.
Still, it mounts completely the opposite: physical sd gets mounted to /mnt/sdcard and internal sd to /mnt/sdcard2.
Why is that? Another interesting thing: if I remove the [email protected] line, the physical sd won't mount anymore.
I;m trying to port CM10 to my device and have fixed most of the problems but I cannot get the USB and external SD to mount(flash is detecting as sdcard)

when I try to swap them I get a bootloop.
I think that the volds are being screwed up by my mounts in the ramdisk and symlinks
any ideas
help would be very much appreciated
any expert here ??

Short answer: you can't.
What you can do is install Link2SD which will essentially move almost all apps to the SD card while letting the phone think they're still on the internal memory.
1. Root with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460 - simple tool, follow on-screen prompts.
2. Confirm root with "Root Checker" in the Play Store.
3. Create a partition on your SD card: http://download.cnet.com/MiniTool-Partition-Wizard-Home-Edition/3000-2094_4-10962200.html
4. Use Link2SD from the Play Store to move Internal apps to your new SD card partition. Details/instructions here - http://www.link2sd.info/description
I bought this phone as a cheap replacement in Nepal because mine died. With these steps I now have all the apps I want installed, and less than 2/3 of my internal memory used. Good luck.
