Nevertheless he is correct in the fact that you are (1) posting in the wrong thread and (2) posting against rules which clearly define: "no best whatever" threads.
Hence just have a look in the Themes & Apps section and evaluate the mods yourself, I bet you will find something that you like.

Also as I said there is so many mods and a lot are on other pages. I may have worded i wrong but what I meant was, all I'm asking is if there is a thread suggesting some good mods to get (not best).

Basically what they are trying to tell you is to post in the correct place (General Discussion). This is the development section. To be honest, it took a mighty long time to get back to normal due to the fact that noobs and cry babies were *****ing about s-off which had everything out of whack. Now that XDA is coming back to life, I'm pretty sure members who have been around for a while would like to see it remain that way. Just be patient grasshopper. We just got root the other day. Let the developers bring you a stable kernel first then we will see SBC soon after.

The problem is simply this. Development section is for developing. Its that simple. If you are not developing something, it does not go here.

I know his post isn't development but that is what he is requesting. All these stupid guides that keep on popping up in the development section aren't development either and belong in the general section also. I don't see you jumping on any of those posts and giving them a hard time.

Agreed. The OP was unarguably development-related, and this was the correct place to post it.
Those whiners who incessantly demand that such posts be removed from the dev section have grown blind to the mission of xda, and would become dangerous and tyrannical power freaks if ever given mod status, and would quickly destroy the dev forum just as thoroughly as what almost happened a few weeks ago in this very forum. Xda exists to further development of the operating systems on our devices. The OP wants devs to see his request, and that's a legitimate expectation, so I can't fault him for posting it here. How many devs ever even visit the General Discussion forum?

Allready done but is not working on the ray is kernel related. Oh and the help thread is usless becouse nobody looks in there is impossible to Keep the questions and answers organised, nobody answers at certain questions! There are only 2-3 people working in there! And the help section is usefull becouse using the search function you find faster the answer.

Since the new mod is soooo active at cleaning spam, I was wondering how to somehow clean XDA and get all useless **** deleted. Some people will say this thread is useless, but all of us can give links to our own or someone else's spam/old/useless thread. Lets make a resolution to clean XDA. Report all useless threads here till next two weeks. Then after that, mod can take a look at them and delete them if he believes they are no longer of any use

hey guys do you have any cwm file for the stock TW? i dunno what happened but i was on RevoHD v6 and i found in the kitchen pro this TW mod.. i downloaded it and installed it with CWM. but i couldn't do any mods on the launcher like i couldn't add widgets on the homescreen and etc.. i reset everything to square 1 and still TW's f*cked up.. please help? any link?

Does this look absolutely anything like a request, general or questions section to you?
Think about it for 1 second, what would this section look like if this kind of topic was allowed, answer is it would be a complete mess and you would have to trail through a sea of crap to get to the roms/kernels etc.
This sections is for developments, not help requests, app requests, or anything else completely unrelated to development, Its for ROMS/KERNELS/MODS/REF etc only.
If you want to post this type of topic do it in the appropriate section(s). Its really irritating when people who have subscribed to this forum get stupid topics like this emailed to them.

Well thats just been sexist.
Doesn't make a difference what your sex is, you should still have common sense enough to put questions in questions forum, general discussion in general etc. Its obvious if you take a few seconds to look that the Dev section re for releases/mods and reference etc.
Tbh I blame XDA for this aswell because they could restrict posting rights for dev forums more per post count or usergroup.

It's not actually sexism if it's a principle that should be applied equally to both sexes (though the wording ephraim used wasn't exactly to that effect, but hopefully you get my point). There is a certain sense of irony when you remind someone of the rules in an inflammatory way, and so break the rules yourself.
It was a simple mistake, an accidental posting in a forum that has squillions of subforums. It happens.
Anyway, OP's question has been answered. Bluefa1con's advice sounds fairly easy, especially if you already have a stock zip lying around.

It wasn't an accident. An accident would be if they meant to post in a specific section but didn't realize they was in a different one when clicking post.
Users are just simply choosing to posting in dev section instead of taking seconds to work out that they shouldn't, That isn't an accident, its just pure laziness.
XDA needs some sort of structure in place like increasing the post count restriction, retro applying it to older members who signed up before they started imposing or restricting posting to recognized devs only. Any non recognized devs could put forward a topic which could be moved into dev section.
Allowing basically anybody to post anything in dev sections just pollutes the forum and annoys people who subscribe and get emails about "howz me flash me fone" topics (not referring to this topic, just general).

i bought a sim free s3 last year and used various uk sims in it.
then went to pakistan last year and took it with me. sims wouldnt work so had to get it rooted to work.
the guy said it had an international lock on it where you cant use it with other countries sims.
anyone got any idea i thought simfree means unlocked anywhere in the world.
