Awesome Case - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

Just wanted to share - this is the best case I've ever had.. It fits the HTC One perfectly and really shows off the design (the frosted one at least). The price is right too: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BZXBGG8/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This One

Only thing about that case is that it gets scuff marks too easily, I had one on my phone for a week and it was scratched up and had a lot of scuff marks on it, so now I have the poetic flip case and I love it!

Just ordered a Lime Green Goospery case, hopefully the "shimmer" effect on it isnt too bad... lol
Was also considering that one too, cause I like the TPU cases with nice solid colors, that create a full lip around the front (looks more complete and better than the ones that just wrap the corners or sides a bit)

I also had a clear one, but as noted got too scuffed up too fast. Now have Seidio Surface with kickstand.

Goes in accessories

Otterbox defender series case in realtree and green. This is a great case for protecting your phone but it also hides this very nice looking phone.
Dust gets between the screen protection and the screen of the phone thru the holes for the speakers and the back/home buttons. I work in a very dusty environment and this is kind of a pain.
Screen protection also takes some getting used to, it makes the touchscreen....different. once you get used to it, it's not bad but their is a learning curve.
All in all it's a good case with a little to be desired. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably do it again. Their is no perfect solution except maybe a phone that doesn't need a case so this is maybe a little better than the rest.

Speck GemShell - looks awesome, doesnt show scratches (on the silver model,) and has a shock absorbent lining on the edges. Best of all- you dont lose the clickiness of the volume buttons! http://www.speckproducts.com/smartphone-cases/htc/gemshell-for-htc-one.html

They really did it right with the otterbox commuter. Hides the beauty of the phone, but a great looking case. Love the lip it has around the screen. Doesn't make the phone too bulky for the protection it gives. Also slides in and out of pocket easy since it has a plastic back.

I had the grey version. I think it was ok. But the color was a mistake. I cleaned it all the time. Still got very discolored. Had to toss it. Got one of those rubberized feeling cases now. So far it's ok. But i can't help but want something more naked.

Honestly, I want to see this case after a couple of months of use. Clear cases turn dull and yellowish with time. Pass!

[Q] is there a single good case for the slide?

I've been looking for a case for my Slide since I bought it on launch day, and I haven't seen one positive review of a case. The general consensus seems to be any hard-shell case has some sort of tab system holding the two pieces in place, but when you slide the phone open or take the case off it wears down the tabs until they eventually snap off. Every single hard-shell case I've seen reviewed has this issue. All the reviews on xda seem to be cursing the crappy quality of the cases, whether it be from t-mobile or a third party site or ebay. Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid durable case? I can't believe this phone has been out for 2+ months now with not a single good case. Thanks in advance.
I'm still looking for a replacement battery cover. Don't want a full case, and want a cover that is not slick. Not interested in those stick-on things as it adds bulk.
I love the silver case w/ kickstand from t-mobile. Very well made, no problems with it at all.
The kickstand is great for conference calls (don't have to lay the speaker or the mic to the ground) or watching videos.
i like the look of the silver case, but i have a red slide and i don't feel the colors compliment each other very well
if they were to make a black version of that case i'd be all over it.

Thanks! The case looks like a monster but I'm not too worried about bulk since the phone itself is already huge. Also nice to get another one of the t-mo screen protectors that cover the buttons too since I'm worried about getting dust under the screen.
I use the tmobile case also, which is actually made by bodyglove. its worked great for a few months now but I started having issues with it today. by the way it comes with a screen protector.

i have the same case, i dropped mine maybe 2 times with the case on and most of those gay ass tabs broke off, making it useless now cause it wont stay on
Yes tangrams those tabs are horrible. That's the issues I had. After taking it on and off a few times it'll start not wanting to snap completely on. If you are going to root or rom your phone leave it off until your done or you'll be buying a new case. Lack of a good case is what lead me to dump that phone and get a vibrant this past weekend.

I've used 5 cases from PDAIR.com. Aluminum, classic, professional black or white. Hugs the phone as close as a metal case can. They're 20 to 30 dollars but the quality and sturdiness have saved 5 phones from falls that would have easily shattered the screen.
Well worth the money, check them out.

No unfortunately...There are not too many cases that You can find in white for the amaze, your best bet is ebay or amazon...the brand name ones seem to like black!!

This case has holes for the ones in the battery cover and its built like an otterbox. thats one + id like to see a in person photo though
I have it. Seems to feel just like a trident case in terms of the rubber material. The plastic part isn't as secure as I want it to be, and it feels like it'll be easily dislodged when dropped.
Overall, it's a good 2 piece case. I'm going to have to order the trident kraken when it comes in black and see how well it holds up compared to this one.
I have this case as their does not seem to be an otterbox yet.
If you don't like bulk this case is not for you.
Its pretty well designed and seems very rugged. The back is to smooth does not grab on surfaces well bit not as smooth as a regular hard abs case.
I like the rugged look and I like the "design".
However, the fitment is less than perfect.
The abs shell seems to pop off slightly in the bottom. The fit between the silcone case and the shell is not very good.
If you don't mind spending 25$ its not bad. Needs a redesign to make it worth it. Also black is only color. Which I like.
Have not done a drop test yet and hopefully I never will but I think this case will do a great job protecting and absorbing impact.
If this case was truly engineered the right way the outer case SHOULD come off when dropped to disperse the energy of the impact better.
Could be the reason for the weird flaw on my left corner that keeps wanting to slighltly pop off once in a while.

I get the same fitment issues. One thing for sure, you can drop it at about 6' height with no problem, I think the hard shell has that much flex room to help absorb hits on the side. Unfortunately it makes the shell feel flimsy and loose around the edges.

Bringing up an older thread...
I just got this case from Amazon. So far it's one of the best I have found. It was a lot cheaper on Amazon than the mall (by about $20). I only wish it had a belt clip or something.
But so far, so good... I like how it looks.
I got this case and it fits perfectly, have no idea about the fitting problems others are having. It is thick, which is actually great if you have larger hands as it makes texting earier. Also has decent grip, unlike the plastic cases that feel like they're going to shoot out of your hand.

Huge fan of this case. I had purchased an Incipio case before this and was not very happy with it. This case has a nice lip on the front side to protect the screen is very durable.
I just got this case today which is replacing my Incipio which I broke. The case fits perfectly, no issues with fit or finish at all.
The only thing I don't like about it is the slippery grip. I wish the sides were a bit tackier.

Just got my case-mate tough case today. Seems sturdy but not liking the silicone layer that attracts dust and lint. Oh well, can't have it all.....

It sucks being needy...lol

NOTE
if you get any case with black silicone (trident, case-mate, otterbox, incipio, etc), the lint will be obviously visible. you can remedy that by getting a colored one

Good advice, and I'll remember that next time. I actually returned the Case-mate today because of that black silicone layer collecting dust...I'm a little OCD when it comes to dust on my phone. Definitely an awesome case. Am using the Matte Black version.
Cost is real good, and doesn't make the phone look bulky at all, easily slips in and out of the pocket
You may initially feel that since there is no volume rocker cut-out it would be difficult to use (some video reviews also show that), but trust me it does not feel uncomfortable at all. On the contrary, the divided volume rocker on the case actually has a nice feel to it.
Checkout this portion of a video, should give you a fair idea

Yeah I was looking for a TPU case, I liked my red sensation case much that I didn't want any kid of material, I bought the matte black as well, I was considering the smoke glass matte translucent case but I didn't know if I was going to like the color scheme over the white amaze, anyway, I watched the video and too bad they didn't have any colors, oh well the case looks great though can't wait to get it in the mail, anyone have the smoked glass one over a white amaze? Let me know what you think

Just ordered the case-mate tough case.
$28 after 20% off with '4MOM' code.
I had a hard time deciding between this one and the trident aegis case, but decided the extra $8 is worth the peace of mind of knowing the three pin holes around the camera aren't blocked and I think this case looks a bit slimmer. There isn't much information out there for the Amaze version, but the Sensation tough case is well reviewed. So I am hoping the Amaze one will be the same.
Will post some pictures when the case gets here.

Currently I do not use a case, but have a thin one on order to see what I think of it. Feels wrong to make this phone thicker, but wanted to get some other opinions.
I use a black OtterBox. I've never worried less about dropping my phone, and it feels great in my hand. Adds a little bulk, but not bad.

I ran my iphone 4 without a case for a full 2 years. I like to live life on the edge LOL....oh I'm so glad im done with that phone.
At work (Verizon Indirect) I usually go sans case, but at home and when I'm out and about, I alternate between the cruzerlite androidified, the verizon tpu, and the otterbox commuter in white or black (but I only use the commuter when I'm going to be using my phone outside)
I always order case before I make phone purchase. Usually some TPU case if any good is not available. Then go for Mercury case if it launches as I love their cases.
But yeah, I always use case. I dont use phones for long period. In last one year I have gone through Note, One X, SGS3, Nexus 4, Note 2, Xiaomi Phone 2, and now DNA (Actually still have Xiaomi, Note 2 along with DNA ). So it is important for me to make sure my phones are in flawless condition when I sell them to friends or ebay them so I get maximum out of it
Usually end up getting 80-90% of the money I invest in phone back because they are in top condition.
Currently have a generic TPU jelly case and Nilkin is on its way.
I'm using the Ballistic SG & it is awesome love the way it fits my DNA! I just ordered the Ballistic SG Maxx to replace it since it adds a clip & the protection for the display.

No Case. Like how thin the phone is.
OtterBox Commuter
Sure it adds some girth to the phone, but it protects it so very well. I dropped my phone a week after having it, with no case. Took a chip out of the glass up by the ear speaker area. I quickly looked for an OtterBox, due to having one on my Evo4G. The power button is a little hard to push, but if you load up DSBs Cubed Kernel you can use Sweep to Wake and not have to worry about that button.
Cheers!
I didn't run a case until I dropped it in the kitchen and chipped a small piece of glass.

Went without case for awhile, love the feel and how thin the phone is, but was unhappy with the wear I appeared to be getting on soft back. I have had it on since Day 1 and it is by far one of the best cases for protection out there.
BUT:
1) BULKY and stick rubber exterior makes it gather dust/dirt and hard to slide in pockets
2) DUST gets under the integrated screen protector constantly.
3) HEAVY ..... phone feels like a feather when you take it out .

It does and doesn't at the same time.
The added grip because of the rubber outer shell helps it feel secure and not slip out.
The increase in thickness and shape makes it feel more natural in my hand as opposed to like a thin slippery blade. I dont have ogre sized hands , so it helps it feel better.
It does bug me a little the way the raised rim sticks up however when im swiping or doing a screenshot.
using a small piece of a regular screen protector over the home button cut out keeps the flour and pizza shrapnel out from under my screen protector. But, it's aesthetically noticable and makes the home button a little "harder" to press. But I'm gonna keep it on so I won't have to clean out my case every day.

I have one, but like everyone else I get dust under the built in protector. I removed it once and put on an invisisheild by zagg. It seemed to work nice untill I realized the spen was leaving marks in it. I backed a new protector on kickstarter by Sir Lancelot's Armor called the holy grail. Hopefully it will fit in this case.

I've got the Commuter since yesterday and it's nice. I don't know how you guys can handle the defender. Too much. The Commuter has all the protection it needs.
To prove that, I had a rinky-dink plastic case on that didn't cover the top and bottom. Straight launched my phone from about 5 feet with it at a gas station. It made some nasty noises and bounced all around.
Not a scratch

I known that ballistic has a similar case but with no holes waiting for it to show up in stores to see if I want that one instead

+1 on the commuter couldn't stand the defender! Fantastic protection with minimal bulk. Even compared to a ballistic case its sleeker and lighter....

I gotta say, loving the defender. It's big but gives the phone a more solid feel for me. I'm not scared that I'll drop it taking it out of my pocket now because it has grip. And even if it does fall it will probably be fine haha

Got the Defender a week ago and I don't find it to feel particularly big or heavy. I had a Rezound with an extended battery before and it's no thicker or heavier than it was. I don't find the dust under the screen protector bothersome because it's totally unnoticeable in most circumstances, and I don't notice the screen protector not sitting flush unless I'm looking for it.
Love the feel of it, much more than the older Defenders. It has the rubberized feel with less of the gripping everything and dust collecting of the old ones. It still does to an extent, but not as much, and it feels more solid and not as soft as the older ones.
