Whenever I reboot my phone I lose the notification settings to various apps that use custom notifications that I add to my phone. If a certain app uses a built in notification sound it is fine, however if I set say sms notification to the msg codec or any custom notification sound I have to go back into that particular app and redo that sound. Anyone else having this issue? I am on Verizon Droid Razr Maxx using the 5/25 nightly of cm 10.1
Also I have tried flashing other nightlies and the various RCs but I have the same issue.

I've noticed the same, as I use sounds downloaded off Zedge for both my main ringtone/notification as well as individual ringtone/notification sounds. RC4 was just released and I tested this post release. Looks like the issue continues.

The Atrix makes this extremely annoying sound when it's being turned on and off. I went to setting and sound to try to see if there was any options to disable this but I could not find anything. Does anyone know if it's possible?
thanks

Gingerblur 3.5 silences the SD mount/amount sound, look under development thread.

GladiAtrix silences the sound as well.

It plays the default notification tone when you mount/unmount the internal SD cards upon boot/shutoff. You can change/silence it in the sound settings. This will change/silence all notifications that use the default sound though. Be aware of that.
Swyped on my rooted and frozen Motorola Olympus.

That doesn't always work. Mine doesn't even play the default notification, but rather a very loud and annoying ring.
I just changed to Gingerblur 3.5 and loving it.
I want to be able to hear notifications, just not SD card mounting/unmounting. The weird thing is that it doesn´t even play the new default notification sound that I´ve set (all other notifications do play the new sound).
After having messed up my Galaxy S I would really like to keep the Atrix clean and original as much as possible...so I´d really like to avoid installing new non official roms and such.

google silent mp3. download it. convert it to .ogg (necessary?) file using a free converter. put silent.ogg in /system/media/audio/notifications. reboot phone. change notification ring tone to silent. done
**must have root access and use something like rootexplorer**

But wouldn´t this disable all my notifications? I would like to disable only sd mounting/unmounting.
Running the 7/04 build my text notification will go off over and over for no reason. I get no incoming message, just the notification. A reboot or battery pull does not fix it either. I had to turn the volume off with the rocker, not a widget, and leave it that way for a few minutes to make it stop. Happened to me twice yesterday.
Hope this helps someone else if it happens to you.
I'm surprised your getting notifications at all on that build...on 7/4 mine wouldn't give me any messages until I turn the screen on....either way it has been fixed on the 7/7 build...if you like the 7/4 builds flash the newest one...a lot of fixes..and it just plain rocks!

Please make sure to also flash the 07/04 .13 Nemesis kernel unless you don't want your mic to work lol
My notification tone would play constantly when I had a new voice message. Had to make a call to get it to shut up. No known solutions that I can find.
Switched to Andmer's MIUI ROM that can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1150045
I decided "hey, I should probably update my MIUI" so I wiped data / cache / dalvik a million times, and installed Ricks MIUI.
I have no LED notifications for texts or whatever it may be, however before I upgraded I did. I see that in the new menu there is no "Trackball" or "LED notification" in the system settings anymore. I downloaded BLN to enable it and still nothing.
I just want my led to light up when I have a text or whatever.
Thanks!
Sometimes upgrading turns out worse than before. What version did you upgrade from, and is Rick's version different than the official releases over at MIUI?
I have rick's 12.9 MIUI and I am using BLN Control Pro and it is working.

Hm, I've tried BLN control (free) and blinky from the market and had mixed results. Blinky worked well, and allowed more control over the notification, but seemed to have a battery drain issue. BLN control only worked for one notification and stopped working after that.. I'm assuming you're running the glitch kernel that Rick's MIUI comes with?
I'm using Glitch V13 with Ricks MIUI, so yes. Before I had a JT kernal from 11/09 or something like that which worked perfectly
I think it might be kernel related then, I think I remember seeing sixstringsg say that there were going to be some changes to BLN in the next glitch release that should fix things. I suppose if you really need it, use that jt kernel. Personally, I couldn't deal with the color and lack of ability to change it with voodoo control on that kernel.
Glitch13 has the BLN notification bug, and CM7.1 has the in-call volume bug. Pick your poison.
I recently did a clean install (full wipe) from CM10 late October release to the stable CM10 that was just released using the latest TWRP (2.3.1) and apps reinstalled with Titanium.
Everything seems to be working, but Google Now has a card that says "Location Services is turned off..." However, all my location services are enabled in the settings menu.
Is anyone else having this issue? Is there any available solution?
I have this issue as well. Not just CM10, but ParanoidAndroid has it as well.
Fixed it!
Updated gapps through the goomanager app and all is right with the world again!
Google now works fine, except for the fact i have to yell for it to understand me. Also when i activate it and it makes that bloop sound its static sounding.

Are you on aosp? Try speaking in a normal tone using the top microphone. As for the notification sound being distorted, its just really loud for some reason. In viperrom (sense based) you can lower the notification volume a bit and distortion goes away. You should be able to independently adjust notification volume for different notifications. I haven't found an equivalent fix in aosp roms yet but its basically the same issue

I'm on cm 10 if i googled right then yes aosp. Viperrom was my previous rom if that tells you anything. And talking into the top mic worked.
Look around the play store and see if you can find an app that has a seperate adjustment for notification volume and use it to tone down google now and the distortion should go away, you should still be able to use global volumes to keep notifications loud. Wish it was baked in like viper rom
Hey all,
I've never had this problem before with any other device. When you download a app such as snapchat or cashapp.. Even Facebook messenger it comes pre-installed with the apps specific notification sounds.
My MI note 10 automatically set all notifications to either silent or the default notification sound.
I can go into every app settings and download the correct sound but that just seems like a very time consuming way of correcting the problem.
Any suggestions? Thank you.
I will mention I'm using the masik rom but I don't think that has nothing to do with it because I had this problem on my stock Rom as well.
