Hell-o, Hell-boy!
It is I, Overkill, master of terrible puns and creator of awkward forced courtesy laughs...
Anyway, I had this same issue! I no longer have a notification OR the crappy battery icon in my taskbar!

Worked like a charm! Thank you so much! It was very annoying.

[MOD][Xposed] QuickPinUnlock

EDIT 2013-07-28
This mod will now work regardless of pin length! (Before, only pins of length 4 could be used.)

Enjoy!

First of all:
I have < 10 posts, hence I cannot create this thread in the appropriate sub-forum. If a moderator wants to move this thread, that would be nice.
Description:
QuickPinUnlock mod for stock roms. Allows you to access the home screen after correct pin entry immediately without having to hit 'OK'. This mod is based on the Xposed framework and requires it to be installed to work.
Compatibility:
This was only tested on the i9205, but frankly it should work on other models too as it does not replace anything, but only overrides certain method calls with reflection.
Credits:
Credits go out to @Nottach for NottachXposed (url: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285074). I had a look at his sources, that helped.
Further thanks go out to @rovo89 for the Xposed framework, it's awesome and very easy to get into. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Installation:
It's simple. You need root, and you need to be running Xposed framework > 2.0. Install the APK, activate the module in the Xposed app, reboot, enjoy!
The APK:

Ok, i should mention this:
ATM This will only work for pins of length 4. I was smart enough to hardcode that. If the pin length is > 4 it wont let you access the homescreen. I will have to fix that later today.
Regards
A new version is available. First post updated!
Working fine. Thanks

Hi @ponglenis,
Apologies for both the thread necromancy and drive-by Googling. Just found this thread and noticed that the DL link is down. If I may inquire, any chance this mod was intended to work with both the AOSP lockscreen and 4.1 ROMs? (I'm guessing it's 4.2+, as all other quick pin unlock mods seem to be, but figured I may as well ask.) Thanks!

No harm done.
To answer your question - I honestly don't know. I've received an email from a user who is running this exact mod on an a google edition (4.3) rom. You have two options:
1. Compare the sources of the two classes where code is injected and see if crucial parts changed. (I can't tell you what the Keyguard classes looked like under 4.1 as I've never written this mod for 4.1):
- com.android.internal.policy.impl.keyguard.KeyguardPINView
- com.android.internal.policy.impl.keyguard.KeyguardAbsKeyInputView
2. Install it and see what happens. Make a nandroid before or have an xposed-disabler zip ready if things go south.
I re-uploaded the mod, thanks for pointing out that the link is down!

I actually remember trying this some time ago, now that I've seen the package name. Comparing the 4.1 lockscreen to your mod, I don't believe those two classes exist in 4.1, at least as they stand now. Oh well, thanks for your reply anyway!
did not work in Nexus 5 stock rooted 4.4.2
FYI: installed GravityBox and that has a quick pin unlock option.

Neat Rom Advance S setting is lost

Hey guys,
As you know there is one app or setting in Neat Rom for editing notification toggles that called "Advance S" or somethings like this.
After I installed "XWLSW NeatROM Lite v4.8" I found that this item is missed, in case that it still exists in full version.
Tell me how can I add this item to my rom? Is there any way like coping some apk or other files from full version to this lite version and add "Advance S" item to this version?
You can flash a theme or something like it to change the statusbar, and also have the S Advance/Advance S/whatever it's called again.
I did it but doesn't help.
I used some "23 toggles mod" before.
Advance S dont come with Neatrom. You can get it by flashing any statusbar mods, most are by Engloa, so i suggest you visit his/hers thread in 'Galaxy S II Themes and Apps' forum
Sent from my XDA premium using GT-i9100 ... oh wait, crap...
I installed this mod:
Code:
XWLSW_BlackSB_23BToggles_BlueClock_BlueCircleBatt.zip
Description: blue circle, blue clock with brightness slider(23 toggs)- Engloa
But it doesn't work too
I installed the Rom again and one 23 toggle of Engloa and after that AdvanceS come in my list
But after I installed Aroma mod, AdvanceS gone again and never come back even by Installing again that Engloa mod.
I don't wanna install the rom again I need some of this aroma features.
Please I need some pro advice
Hi
I discussed my issue with creator of that aroma mod, and this nice guy had A simple and helpful solution for me that worked.
I put it here to if anyone have the same issue as me use it.
Jeetu said:
Just download any 23 toggles from ApriliaM3 dev Host site ans unzip that zip file . Then take out lidroidsettings.apk from that zip file. Now put this in your system/app set permission. Reboot. You will get advanceS.
Soory for this but I will release new aroma with new mods and fix these bugs.

Some questions.

1. Anyone tried out the Xposed framework and is it working on our device ?
2. Can we get the quick settings in the statusbar on stock jb rom ? Like this. http://www.droid-life.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Screenshot_2012-08-06-11-20-40.png If not is there a great alternative to this ?

1. I tried it, few weeks ago, but no success. I tried some Sense module too, but no change.
2. There are few alternatives on Play Store, like AntTek Quick Settings, but it's not always reliable. Some built-in ROM mod would be great.
I think Xposed framework is only for Samsung phones / framework, or am I wrong?
I use the Xposed Framework and it works perfect on our device. I use the Tweakbox and XPrivacy modules.

for quick settings there is an apk which you can easily download, & if you want toogles in notification area there is an modified systemui.apk in desire x forum itself, all you gotta do is use "Search"..
& for Xposed framework, i tried installing them yesterday & ended up with bootloop, worst part was that i was even unable to get inside Recovery..

custom ROM's sometimes have options to do this - xposed framework @rovo89 and modules is very good though for whatever ROM you are running - even stock!

Thank you for the answer Sir. Someone also answered me regarding this, it is about deleting the VR-theme folder before flashing any modes to change the color of the icon.
Don't worry I'll give a try also for xposed framework...

What will i have to do to improve it, Can it be tweaked through Xposed modules.
And you asked me to search for the thread, Can you please give me its link.
Because I don't know abc of Xposed, don't know what to look for.so..
Thanks.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
And only a few if them can help in fixing battery
Download ram manager pro and setcpu (free here at xda)
Or kernel tuner is a aio for memory and cpu and you can manage to get a little more juice
Or the best is to search for a custom kernel!
Press thanks :good: if I've helped :highfive:

here is collection of modules
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/index-collection-xposed-modules-post-t2327541
You can find most of the available modules just from going inside of Xposed and switching the drop down menu at the top to Download.
