currently im thinking about buying the nexus 4 well here what i do!
watch movies=care about screen
need money=care about money so can build better custom pc in summer
do games! (dead trigger shadow gun and other high graphic games)
almost no music-photos i never take photos and never listen to music! maybe one time a year!

If you want a good phone for games, you may want to get the HTC one x. I thinks its quite expensive but it has a tegra 3 graphics processor meaning you can play games like shadow gun THD. though the nexus 4 is very good still.

i will do tweaks maybe for graphics but for really high chance i will get the N4 coz of Pure vanilla andorid and no s-off need and other stuff! also more cool

I'm done with HTC and their BS unless they come out with a Nexus phone of their own.

Lol... That's pretty close to summing up my thought. :highfive: Note 2 seems too big and expensive especially considering I got a Nexus 7. The only downside for me are the microSD and battery I couldn't careless about LTE since T-Mobile doesnt even have it (and LTE just sucks up battery)
I would also wait a few weeks or a month just to make sure I am aware of the problems especially for the first batch

yeah lol, because i bought the amaze two weeks ago and i bought two, but i just saw the release of the nexus 4, so im debating between that and the S3, but its the price, i dont have all the money atm, but if i sell the amaze then i will.. and i only got it cuz it was the best cheap phone out atm lol.. and the amaze is an awesome phone.. there's nothing wrong with it, id keep mines if i didnt get enchanted by the nexus 4 and all its cool features

And again I say gsiii depending on hand size and comfort... HTC one s isn't bad if you want something smaller (but it's not much smaller) gsiii is solid. And if you want something bigger note 2

Money being no object......Buy multiple Amaze's, root them and put Nitemare 1.6 on them and then sell the ones you dont need at a profit.
My Sensation was completely awesome, I bet you can get one for a good price. Too bad I broke it and had to get the Amaze.
The sensation is basically the Amaze except half as thick, lighter, better looking, better battery, better development, screen was great, and it was overall just awesome.
The Amaze is a huge downgrade, it's so glitchy, heavy, thick and ugly and the customization rom-wise is very weak.
If you can get the sensation for a good price I highly recommend it.
I think it was one of the revolutionary phones, and set the standard for other droids to date.
But that's just my opinion. If I had a choice I would have the Sensation right now over any phone, even the GS3.
Get an HTC One S! Or unlock and get a ONE X+

Money being no object, the Nexus 4 is the universal recommendation we can make (pentaband 3G like the Amaze). I'm assuming you're in the USA, so keep an eye next week when Verizon will reveal the Droid DNA, which looks like to be HTC's second superphone of 2012, after the One X series.

I'd say wait for the Nexus 4. The specs are great and it's a nexus device, hence you'll get awesome development and fast updates. And the price is unbelievable. I plan on switching to Nexus 4 myself.

Why not the HTC one x+ that should be an amazing phone and probably better than sgs3 and definitely a lot more beautiful. Although sgs3 is an amazing phone software and hardware wise to me it looks ugly and again feels cheap when I held it one x+ sports better specs and keeps in mind aesthetics along with premium quality just not sure why many people aren't suggesting it and suggesting an inferior device (sgs3) especially when price is not a factor and if it was nexus 4 would be the best choice so either way sgs3 is now more hype than anything now that there are better phones on the market

No removable battery, no memory expansion, 1gb ram. And... Tegra processor? Eh. I guess that's 'better'. The s4 chip can handle anything I've used it for quite smoothly, if I was going quad core I'd go with something s4 pro. Also some people prefer to have a settings button on the phone, I know I do. Plus all the red tape from HTC rgd development and such. Good development community over at the sgs iii. You asked, I answered I've not held the one x+ granted, I was not impressed with the feel of the one s. And considering the one x+ is almost the same dimensions as the gs iii I gotta say the feel of the gs iii grows on ya haha. But anyway just my opinion.

I am going to buy a LG optimus 2x speed p990 because the mine gets old ( i have a wildfire) and i want to play games on it like the upcoming gta vice city 10th year... and MC 4(wich gameloft games can i play on it?) i've read some things like: the battery dies in a year, dead pixels, it breaks fast is this true?
I'm going to root it and put CM10 on it + overclock but can you guys help me out if you dont recommend it please give a suggestion for me

Optimus 2x is a damn old phone isn't it.! It's officially discontinued from production! U should check out some other phone! Even the nexus4! From the same manufacturer! It's got the leading specs in the market right now!

If you are looking for a phone for gaming, you really should be looking at something that packs a lot more punch, otherwise you will end up with a phone that is medicore at best. Newer games demand quite a lot from the phone.

It would be enough for nearly everything. Your biggest problem would be the 512MB of RAM. But see, galaxy S is still good for gaming with JB. GTA3 runs well on an xperia tipo, so most of the games, and even tegra ones would run on your choice. Search for youtube videos, it's powerful enough, and you can afford it. Galaxy S advance is close to this in hardware with 768MB RAM, but only 2.3.6, flash counter chip, no support, and really expensive in comparsion. You won't be disappointed with optimus 2x after wildfire.
What 'bout Motorola atrix IT has the same proccesor and a good ram (NOT 4G)

I think you can buy it for gaming, it worth its price. Vice City supports Xperia Play so I'm pretty sure it will work well on o2x. And official cm10 brings the best experience to the phone, everything's so smooth.

If we were able to overclock this baby maybe itll be different. But custom dev work is looking very slow at the moment. What do you guys think? Also unless a way to increase the internal to sd space. Its kinda short on app space.

How is it slowing you down? Have you tried using Foldermount to move app data to the SD card?

Thats why im reviewing, once I had my time with it, Ill probably have the Ultra z, or the note 3. They both look promising. The z more to me, because if being water resistant, and more higher quality in built.

I originally bought this phone because I couldn't afford an N4 when I thought I was going to be able to, but I've been pleasantly surprised with it so far.
Really, the only things I don't like about it are:
1. Heat.
2. Lack of IR Blaster
3. Lack of RGB LED
4. Lack of support (though Im not really worried about that with it sharing so many components with the N4)

I don't really notice any heat problems but I don't play a lot of games either. IR blaster would definitely be cool. As for THE LED, is it just an AT&T thing or do they have any phones that have multi color LED's? It seems like all the other carriers have multi color LED's in the same handset I already own. The other SGS2's did, the other LGOG variants, etc. Support...we have some nice ROM's, to be sure, and the guys we have are doing a great job, it just would be nice if there were some more. I'm probably going to be on this phone at least up to or through Nov.

Building isn't hard. You can customize any source to make the ROM you want. It takes time to figure out, but its worth it. Give it a try.

+1, certainly agree on that with you but m really bored with the LG UI though , would like to see how WP UI functions though! people tend to certainly neglect the power of OG , in India a new OG cost around 400$ but just coz its LG no one prefers and resale value , dont ask about it it goes for almost 220-270$ for a 1-4 month old OG !!

m looking to jump ship to be honest got really bored with my OG ;( probably will go for OG pro or m7 , just waiting for salary as i have got a few deals for my OG would like to get rid asap , OG is a damn gud phone only thing was if development was lil more got really tired of all the aosp/cm roms not much of options available to enjoy flashing i used to have on my n4 and 1x+....

Dude the of pro is a bigger og... With less development.. I would stick with this til the og 2 comes out or the nexus 5.

ya i know that development is very less but the screen is really eye catchy , though i have lumia 1020 in mind too but if doesnt work m certainly in for m7 ! i used to be flashaholic on my x+ and n4 but in OG i dont feel like, as every ROM is pretty similar so feel lazy now
I wldnt give up my og for any of the phones that are out now, but i may jump ship for the og 2 and the moto x and the note 3 lol og 2 seems to be sick though

I play a lot of games on mine.
I work nights doing tech support/cs-type stuff at a call center, and have lots of downtime, so I end up playing on my phone a lot either way.
It happens to handle gaming wonderfully, aside from the heat. However, after extends gaming, like say, an hour of Vice City or Majoras Mask on Mupen64, it can sometimes get so hot that it becomes legitimately difficult to hold. A couple times i even had it overheat from playing a game while charging. I've also had it crash from overheating while doing navigation on a car charger.
Interesting point about the notification light, I hadn't considered that. At&t does tend to **** on their phones designs pretty heavily so I wouldn't be surprised.
That being said, it still has better battery and is overall more reliable than my old Inspire.
I intend to at least try building, but my computer isn't a suitable build environment right now, needs another HDD and some more ram.
I'm hopping on the OG Pro train, soon. Although, I'll still have my OG as a backup and will continue flashing on a semi regular basis lol.

Yeah, I hear ya. Mysteryemotions should have a stock flavored ROM coming pretty soon. Hope I'm not letting the cat out of the bag early. . I'd like to try theming, but damn that seems hard/time-consuming.

I luv the og. I was happy with it stock. Even better with ROM options. The only thing I'd give it up for is the g2 when it comes out(if I can afford it)

Hmm seems interesting , even waiting if snowleopard comes out or someone else comes up with a 4.3 for OG would love to try it
