i updated my sony live with walkman wt19i to ics base .587, after that my phone camera is blurry, its not focusing properly..
nearby images are ok like potraits, bt far pics r not focusing, it shows macro and its not clear.
i installed custom rom zelly cream 3.5 still that camera problem exists.
in this new rom the camera is cyber shot v 2.B.12..
any one please help me.. i want my camera back :crying:

Try flashing stock rom and kernel..
Sure it's a firmware bug?..check your lens once ...
Downgrade to gb and check your camera..

Its ICS bug and we can do nothing about it except flashing cybershot mod
if you want camera to work at its peak us GB
I don't think it's a bug...my stock ics was working fine...:-/
But yes..the image quality was a bit lower from gb..

how to flash cybershot mod.. i installed custom rom zelly cream, it has cybershot mod... i checked 3d panorama camera and its working normal, not blurrey,.

Hi friend , Below in the attachment is the camera apps from xperia gx which can be ported to xperia line running ics 4.0.4. I've
tried it on stock Ics firmware in xperia s and xperia P and it worked flawlessly (may work on other xperia line device but it should be on stock ics firmware 4.0.4)) . U can instal it as regualar application. I found that compression is
somewhat reduced, ie i got image size in the range of 2.7 mb- 5mb and hence i found more details. Secondly i found focus problem improved
compared to our stock camera. Please check it and let me know . Works only in stock ICS. Before installing this application please back up
first. Instal it as regular app.
Friend key to note: After installing this two .apks clear data from both camera and 3d camera . Setting- Apps- All -camera and 3d camera - clear data
And also friend i'm attaching flash player from xperia gx Ics version as we all know it has preinstalled flash player. This works great in our xperia s.
I'll look at other things in xperia gx and also xperia v ( which i'll get on december 5) that will work with other xperia lines
Update 1 : Editing build.prop for better camera , video recording and Jpeg quality.
Add this 3 lines in build.prop in ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=100
ro.media.dec.jpeg.memcap=8000000
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=8000000

This doesnot work in cm rom. Only for Ics build.

I am currently on CM 7.2 FXP 130 Neo V , the issue I am facing is with the camera which is red and is upside down..
I tried to look in the thread but didn't find a particular solution..
The closest to which I came was someone saying that the developer might have switched the build. prop files between the haida and hallon versions..
So, is there anyway to make the camera work again?

CM i a big Group and i love their work but i don't think their ROM for Neo V is Fully stable and bug less , so i recommend you try another custom ROMs such as Pureness ICS SP1 , they are fully stable and almost without any bug.
I'm facing a similar problem. When I turn my flasher on and try to capture an image the whole image gets reddish which is totally irritating. I just want a solution for that issue

Use landscape mode. I am with Xperia neo, kernel "FUSION" and Rom "Super jelly bean" from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2111941
I had the same problem, but since I tried "landscape" instead of "auto" everything goes fine!

hey! I think u r confused. camera app in .578 & .431 seems not much different if that stock rom.

I am presently using GB 2.3.7 build .184 on Xperia U and want to know is there any stock ICS release by sony which has camera quality similar to GB (bcoz i feel camera with GB is good).
Previously I have used B.1.10 and C.1.0 but camera quality was no way close to GB.
So could any1 suggest any stock ICS FTF.....
