I have bought a phone from China some months ago, a clone from the note 2.
It has the android version 4.1, but I can not update it because it does not have an update function.
Is there still a way I can update it?

Bought the Landvo L900 and wanted to update to 4.4.2, there is a update for the L800 model but I'm not sure if that will work on the L900. I'm new to android and have successfully rooted the device

To 4.4.2 no but look this .needrom.com/download/landvo-l900-miui-v5-rom/[/url] is beta but run very nice.

I have a Verizon Elipsis 7 tablet and i need to update this device to android version 4.4.2, but i can't find the file to download it and i can't update it normally through software update because i don't have access to a Verizon carrier.

Hi , here is latest Update for your device , but I don't know is that Lolipop or Marshmallow or just small update .

If this is not that what you are looking for I think the other way to have higher android version is to root your device which is risky to do because you can brick your device.
