Use the Site search and you'll find dozens of threads on it, and search for App called Directory Bind because that's what you need if your phone's Rooted.
U have already posted this there

If you're not rooted then you're out of luck.
Well... I would not call it out of luck because technically the Move-to-SD option is no longer necessary since the apps are already stored on the internal storage and no longer in their own small /data partition.

But even so... 16.gb gets a little small for our app addiction...

Sync app for games

Hi, i'm trying to build (really don't know if im able to) a sync app for the savedgame files of games
in this case i'm starting from one game, Sword & Sorcery..
But i have 2 questions before starting...
1) Anyone knows where the file is located (is this BLABLABLABLABLA.bin that i've found in /data/user/0/com.capybaragames.sworcery/cache?)
2) is possible to read this file and save it into the same location of another device...WITHOUT ROOT?
I think that there are different locations for every game...
Although, I think that it's possible but you will have to set save location for every game...

Yes i know that
But...you think it's possible to overwrite a file into the internal data folder without root permissions?
Nobody can help me? I just want to know if there's a way to overwrite an internal data folder file without root permissions

I think that you might need root permissions to do this...

[Q] I'm trying to clear up space in my internal SD

I've been trying to clear up space but I cannot for the life of me find the bulk of the data being taken up! Rom toolbox doesn't know, I can't find anything large in the file explorer...and my system is telling me this:
Thanks guys if you can help

Your storage settings is missing the category "misc". If you had that category it would tell you. Have you tried using a good file explorer like "Root Explorer" to examine the folders on your internal SD card? Possibly something in a hidden folder that you are not seeing.
Apps might say 2.43GB but the data they are using could be much larger. Such as gameloft games and GPS navigational apps.

By the way I've soever the problem through the help of an app known as SD maid!! I was searching Google for a solution and found an article on lifehacker that claimed this app would totally suit my needs.
I've found that over the course of a year of gameloft apps, really dumb games I hated..and worthless apps that I've deleted, remnants were left behind, more specially, their data.
I highly suggest to anyone who is looking to clear up space use this app, it makes it clear what to delete!

[Q] Where Apps Install to?

So I'm messing around with some methods to put apps on to the sd card but my first step is to find the apps. I'm using simple apps like Jtpack Joyride and Wind-Up knight, but I can't seem to find where the files are located. I found the app and the details using ASTRO but doing a full search in ASTRO and the stock file manager I can't find anything. Any information would be a great help
A lot of apps are under device, look in /sdcard/Android/data. But some apps make other folders to store data in. Like Zedge, its in the above folder but stores data under /sdcard/Zedge.
apps install to /data/app in internal memory, not on sdcard, unless its installes to sdcard, in which case its located in sdcard/androidsecure

Is there any app that can tell me the location of certain files because I'm using Jetpack Joyride as the "guinea pig" but I cant find the "com.halfbrick..." file anywhere on my device
Bueller, bueller? I'm just trying to find out how to find these app files, if someone could even just tell me where jetpack joyride installs to that would be great

OP didnt say he downloaded the apk illegally or that its a rom he stole. Its an apk that didnt work for some reason. He could have easily pulled the install files from another device he owns on which he payed for the game. And root check could be keeping something he paid for from working. While he may have gotten it illegally its rude to automatically assume that he did so. lets be more friendly.

Ok, no need to be robin hood, but moving files doesnt need to be done if he alreqdy owned the game. Save files move over with an issue, but its the license check which is screwing him over.

Not if he had it on another device. Save files wouldn't move over automatically. Not trying to robin hood lol. Just saying you are probably right about the license check though. I also believe some games have root checkers. Op could try to use wanam to hide root from it and see if that works.

I have both on my rooted 605, and they both work flawlessly.
To those stating that he could have transferred them from one device to the other: Since these games are referenced as compatible, he can re-download them on his 605. I have them on both my Note 3 (also rooted) and my Note 10.1 2014ed. (yes, I know, it's useless, I need to uninstall them from the Note 3...)
On the other hand, while these Final Fantasy work without any problem, I've never been able to see anything from Drakerider, also from SquareEnix. It seems they have discontinued support since android 4.3.
"OBB" files are nestled well into the android OS file tree becuase its mainly registry and DMR verification files which are installed during the APK process....
save files.. character files and extra game data files are almost ALWYAS stored either in secondary memory.. or external data sections in directories named after the game or the developer itself.
this means.. YES>. admitting that they are having to transfer over OBB files when the APK installs them automattically is him in an indirect way admitting hes a stolen APK.
and likly an outdated one with bugs for newer versions of android OPS which are fixed on newer files.
robinhooding or not.. regulations are there to prevent said developers from attacking and shutting down the website for illegal behavior.. no matter what the views of the individual poster or moderator might be.
all it takes is one person crossing the line tothe point one person decides to press a lawsuit.. and XDA is shut down.
simply put.. if he has the legit version off of google play its already giving him an option to auto update.. and as weve seen for other 1.1-2014 users.. the games work fine for the tablet... he onl yneeds to update through google play and play his heart out.
if hes having to transfer the registery files.. then the likely scenarrio is its NOT a legit copy.. is vastly outdated.. and hes byond our help becuase were not alowed to doscuss how to get hacked/stolen files to function.
