Hi, I have a HTC One from Rogers and I want to install one of the stock original roms from the international version of the HTC One, I found this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292640
but I end up having too many files to choose from, asia, tw, europe, even rogers, tmobile, etc, which one do you guys would recomment?
What Im looking is to be able to get the updates directly from HTC once they are released OTA updates instead of always having to download custm roms or relying on them upgrading their version of roms.
Thanks.
what you want isn't possible without SuperCID and installing the actuall RUU for a WWE phone. OTA will fail on a stock rooted rom because of custom recovery etc etc etc...
flash ARHD 10 its stock like and 4.2.2:victory:
Thanks I guess I will go with a custom rom then
any rom that has OTA update so i dont have to flash all the time there is a new version?
ARHD is your best option now. hands down

i have been searching everywhere and i can not find an updated rom. i just got my TP yesterday with rom version 1.03 dated 11-11-08. the htc site says my serial number is invalid.
i did find this rom:
RUU_Raphael_HTC_WWE_5.05.405.1_R_Radio_Signed_Raphael_52.58.25.30_1.11.25.01_Ship.exe
is this the newest for cdma or does it matter?
there is no new update for the sprint version. the one on the site is the gsm version. there are plenty of cooked roms though, im using the juggalo rom and i have improved performance all around.
i was trying to avoid the custom roms for now, as i don't even have a copy of the current stock rom and i don't know how to get it back to oem configuration.
has anyone heard of an upcoming rom update?

Stock roms are in this thread
Hi,
I have a Hero (A6262) bought in australia (from australian retailer) and have successfully rooted/ran custom Roms previously.
I currently have Arman's bootloader installed and can easily switch between custom roms.
however, I simply want to revert back to the shipped rom (for warranty purposes) but every single original HTC RUU I have tried errors with "invalid custom ID". I've tried every single WWE stock RUU from the "[ROM] Official HTC Hero RUU ROM + Radio Links" list... but to no avail...
Could anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong, or to point me to the correct RUU please?
thanks for your time
found my issue - well I think i did ....
it now works after updating to the latest RA Recovery rom... all ID issues resovled.
weird ;-)
Hi, were you able to find an Australian RUU? my hero cannot get pass bootloader screen and it would be really great for me to have the Australian RUU.
thanks
I too need a stock AUSTRALIAN hero RUU or ROM. I don't care if its 1.5 or 2.1 just something completely stock and local.
Ok with a little more searching i fond this [ROM]RUU_Hero_hTC_Asia_AUS_3.39.710.1
I cant post links but search this and you should find it
About to try it.
Hi, I have an Asian HTC Aria (bought it on a recent trip to Hong Kong). I tried to upgrade to Froyo (2.2), but it keeps failing and displaying the Red Exclamation mark icon (I spoke to HTC but they said it was a phone destined for Zambia and therefore I would have to speak to them, but they where no help as they don't even have the Aria as a product.
I want to upgrade the Aria to Froyo so have decided to try using a custom ROM.
I'm new to this android custom ROM thingy and I've been reading avidly the forums for the last week or so, I think I'm ready to reflash my Aria but still have some small questions that I would be very grateful for answers for.
1. I want to create a nandroid backup without installing clockwork recovery so that I can revert to the stock (Asia) ROM should installing a custom ROM still not work, will this also back up hBoot, and if I use the unrevoked method of gaining root will I be able to take the phone exactly back to stock?
2. What exactly is a RUU, and will this one (probably) work for my Asian Aria?
Asia HK-RUU_Liberty_hTC_Asia_HK_CHT_1.35.708.4 or will my nandroid backup perform the same function?
3. I will probably want to use Liberated Aria Froyo Series FR008 12/13/2010 **Fully working OC Kernel**. Will this work with an Asian Aria even though its based on a European Rom? Is there anything else I need to be aware of for an Asian Aria?
4. When I install Liberated Aria Froyo Series FR008 12/13/2010 do I also need to install a new kernel? eg (FR008 Default or Hong Kong Shipping 2.2 Kernel) and what is the difference between these kernels?
Thanks heaps for your help guys,
Michael

1. A 'nandroid' backup is a function under ClockworkMod, which requires that you root and install CWM as a custom recovery. It makes a complete backup of the phone except for the HBOOT loader. It is very handy when you are in the process of trying out different ROMs. If you don't like one, just reboot into ClockworkMod and restore one of your backups.
2. RUU is an official HTC ROM Update Utility that will load a new ROM version to your phone. A RUU will usually include the ROM, HBOOT and Radio images. The only exception to this is that if you flash the Froyo 2.2 RUU with the newest HBOOT loader code, you will no longer be able to root your phone. Even if you install an older RUU with Android 2.1, it will not overwrite the
3/4. Liberated FR008 should work just fine. The default install has a custom kernel that allows you to overclock your phone's processor to run faster. The Hong Kong kernel is a stock HTC kernel that does not have overclocking ability.
I have a firmware question that I can't seem to find the answer to by searching. I am running arhd 11 on an att HTC one. Should I upgrade the firmware on my phone? Will there be any benefits to this since I am on att and not international? Also how do I go about updating the firmware and does it wipe the device? If I should upgrade, what it's the version I should download? Longtime Samsung user so please excuse the noobness.
If alls running well, then plz avoid ... however, in ARHD thread many AT&T users have updated the firmware without any side-effects
Best to post Q in that thread itself

It is currently not mandatory to flash the new firmware for ARHD, but it does provide a noticeable increase performance depending on the current firmware version you are running, I was running 1.26 on my AT&T m7 and the screen and touch buttons have been much more responsive now that I am running the new 2.24. Flashing the new firmware will also update the baseband, providing you with the latest radio (but performance of this will vary from region to region.
If you go to this link, it will give you some great instructions on the update process.

BTW, you will need to be s-off and change your cid to 11111111. As long as you take your time and follow the directions completely you will be fine. If you do update make sure you flash the firmware TWICE when it says to, and make sure you re-flash your custom recovery because it will get replaced during the updating process. This process will not delete your sd card and you will be able to run your current ARHD, but it is recommended to do a clean install after. And you might as well since 12.0 is out.
hope this helps
I'm getting a failed not allowed error when trying to 'fastboot flash zip'
I successfully have s-off and changed CID but can't get firmware to flash
Edit: not sure what happened but I was able to push the zip successfully. Maybe from adding the path of the file instead of just the zip file? Anyway, it worked.

IF the rom is tweaked right theres no real reason to update the firmware to euro build,Id wait till att variant or the dev variant gets the update and then worry about it.
I bought htc one m8 from e-bay (at&t unlocked) when I was USA. That at&t apps are really annoying and I didnt get the lollipop update. I wanted to update the rom by myself and delete the at&t apps. And now I rooted + unlocked bootloader and installed android revoulation 5.0.1 lollipop rom. I can't use wifi + I cant reboot the phone (it stucks at white HTC screen). I didn't flash firmware because s-on still. So I need really simple and detailed information about what to do. Can anyone pm me about it or explain in comments?
There is not Lollipop update for AT&T yet.
And if you aren't on AT&T's network you won't get any OTAs either. AT&T is fairly unique in this regard, other versions will update regardless of what carrier you are connected to.
For most Lollipop ROMs, you will find your WiFi is broken due to wrong (old) firmware. Your options:
1) A couple Lollipop Sense ROMs (LeeDroid?) seem to work with 4.4.4 firmware. But if your firmware is older than 4.4.4, I don't think any Lollipop Sense ROMs will work.
2) Revert to a ROM version that supports your firmware. For instance, if you are still on 4.4.4 firmware, install a stock or custom 4.4.4 Sense ROM.
3) S-off and update your firmware "manually".
