Fix for the snapchat notifications: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2326617
A less extreme fix that worked for me. In Android app info for snapchat just clear data, open the app, log back in. I'm on a Nexus 4.

This worked for me , I'm on a GS3
Is there any other way to fix this issue without having to literally factory reset for just one app? I tried clearing cache and that didn't work..my issue started when I had the latest version of snapchat and then I installed the older version over it instead of uninstalling

Is there a place where I can download the APK and re-install the Messaging app ?, thanks
Try clearing cache first to see if that fixes it.

You mean like reflashing the firmware? It's still stock. Haven't done anything to it yet.

Just the app or clear data and cache for google maps

Oh... I forget that your phone is not rooted. Then maybe you can try clear the cache.

Just clear the app data of google maps in Settings>Application manager.
If that doesn't fix the hang then try re-installing the app from the market.
If even the 2nd tip fails, then root the phone and clear cache partition in CWM recovery.
But I think the 1st tip should work just fine.

Awesome. That worked like a charm can I also delete exchange services that has similar looking icon or would I need to keep that to run other email app like aquamail?

My guess is that is used for Microsoft exchange email set up. You can delete it using that app, but I'd make a backup of it just to be safe and put it somewhere.

email app sucks, and wasted half a day trying to get a work email set up on the stock "email" app until I tried the aquamail and got it set up while on tech support with godaddy, but then after i got it working went back to email to try the same settings and it didnt work on email with the right settings, garbage.
Does anyone have a permanent fix for this code? I'm running rooted stock and it seems every other day I've got to clear the play store and reboot to get around it.

I just had this error code tonight. Remove your Google account. Reboot. Add your Google account back in.
Found that online and worked for me 2 hours ago.
