Is there a stock ruu if the latest update? I m thinking about flashing the latest 4.2.2 Rom,but I want to make sure there is a stock ruu in case it goes bad.

my phone is rooted and i just put the stock rom on it (Shooter_S_Sprint_WWE_2.17.651.5_odex.zip) after having a different rom my question is when ICS update comes in 2 weeks (for sprint users in the usa) will the update work and be applied? or will i just get an error?
I believe you will also have to relock your bootloader and install the stock ruu which puts the stock recovery on.
I recommend that you wait until a dev comes out with a custom based off the ota. It will be more awesome.

That Sucks is there any way I could go back to stock stock so I can update threw HTC when released
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
NEVER EVER take an update when you are rooted. Every single guide to rooting tells you this.
There is no need to relock to take the update when it comes out. Just wait about an hour, and someone on here will have a flashable version of the stock rooted rom. Flash it like any other rom, simple as that, no need to worry about bricking.
Well I don't really care about it not being rooted any more

Just find the stock RUU for your phone.
Depending on whether your CDMA or GSM and what carrier.
It shouldn't be hard. Just use the search.
Then follow the instructions to flash it, make sure you have the stock HTC recovery and relock the bootloader.
Your phone will be stock!

Ah, no problem, you should be fine.
When flashing the stock RUU, if done properly, you should automatically get the stock recovery.

4.x.x.x is the global software that was NOT sent out by Verizon through OTA, the correct latest OTA is 3.14.605.12.

But VZW won't notice the difference.
Ok so if I want the actual last ota I should go with the 3.14.xxxxx and if I want the global I should go with the 4xxxxx correct
So I am running SuperChargedHatka rom and they just updated to the new ota. Ok my question is are we better off flashing back to stock. Relocking. Updating. Then unlocking again? Are there things in the update we can't get with custom roms?

Anyone? Is it more beneficial to go back to stock everything and accept the update then unlock again and install a custom ROM? Or is there no real benefit.

If you relock, stock, update then unlock and flash a rooted Rom, make sure it has the update in it or you will possibly flash the old rom files over the new..

You can't get the new radios or hboot just by flashing the ROM. So if you want them then you have to lock, run ruu, update, and unlock again. Kind of a pain but just the way it is right now. If you have the unlock bin you originally got from HTC it does make it a little easier.
Sent from my Droid DNA running ZoneDNA ROM..
Alright cool. That's what I was wondering. Too bad flashgui won't flash radios too

Check out my guide for doing just that its in my sig
Yes I know there have been threads on this but all deal with custom roms.
I have the stock rom, rooted and unlocked bootloader, with TWRP recovery. What do I need to do to get the OTA update, OR is the update available anywhere that I can just flash it through TWRP.
I am assuming I will need to flash the stock recovery back (Which I don't have), and possibly lock the bootloader. Does locking it clear the phone like unlocking it does?
Is the AT&T OTA update 4.2.2 or just some tweaks? Anyone know the benefits?

You need to be completely bone stock to get any sort of OTA updates. And the update you're talking about depends on what you're running now.

Ok so basically change to stock recovery, unroot, lock the bootloader. Will the lock clear my phone like unlocking it?
Currently I have 4.1.2

That's right, and what do you mean clear it, you mean wipe it? Yes I believe it does.

Ok if its not 4.2.2 then I'll probably wait anyway since I have to wipe the phone and redo everything.
Anyone know what it does change?
Thanks for the help guys.
I did the update and didn't see any major changes, anyone know if I can find a changelog for the update, does att even provide them?

FW
What is the lastest FW for htc one At&t?
I am sick of waiting att to release 4.2.2. The only solution I read now is to convert att rom to developer edition, which requires s-off and supercid. However, I have no intention to keep the device bootlocker unlocked. And I heard current s-off and s-on methods no longer work with 4.2.2.
So would it work if I convert the rom to developer edition, then s-on and relock the device, and at last upgrade to 4.2.2?
I'm running 1.26.502.12
I believe this is the latest.

Why are you guys waiting to upgrade to 4.2.2 if you are unlocked and rooted? Just install a custom ROM that is built from 4.2.2 basebuild?
I've been running 4.2.2 on my at&t htc1 since day one of owning the phone.

That is a viable option if you're already rooted. I ran AT&T stock rooted 1.26.502.12 for a while myself. But I've used both Scott's Clean Rom (Based off of stock AT&T/ HTC 4.1.2) and I'm using Android Revolution HD 12.1 today (HTC 4.2.2). Once you're rooted, there's those and plenty of other variations on HTC's Sense 5 interface with either 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 out there so there's not really allot of reasons to stay bone stock. Any updates (or the useful parts of them, at least) will be picked out and used by the Devs we have working on the One so I wouldn't bother waiting on OTAs. Just keep a nandroid of your stock setup in case you need to revert back for warranty purposes.
Good luck with att. They genuinely suck. I flashed to viperrom and supercid and flashed firmware my self. Not going to wait till Christmas for a damn update from them while they figure out how to update their terrible apps like att drive.

And hello to you too douche.
Because I like how it works as is thats why. I have more than enough rooted and rommed devices at home to mess with, I don't need this one to be.
I'm working overseas and haven't found a way of getting the OTA for my unlocked Droid. I'm currently on 4.1.1 and Sense 4. I just need a custom ROM or Verizon's OTA

I don't know how to feel about unlocking your bootloader and soff. But after you can find a stock based rom and flash it to the current verison
