Hi. I have the volume mod files on my SD card. I can copy them, but don't know how to paste them in Root Browser. I know where they go, I just don't know how to paste them there. Grrrr! HELP!
Anyone?
press and hold
select copy
navigate to paste location
press the paste button
The latest version will prompt you if you want to change to read/write for directories that need root privileges. The older one made you stop, press the R/W button, then try your paste again.
Edit: for more than one file, press the menu button, then select multiselect, select the files, press copy, navigate then press the paste button.
AND...why not just use the flashable zips for the volume mod?
I got it, thanks! It works! But I have a problem....Google Now is blasting! I tried all volume sliders, music, Notifications, ETC, and none of them worked. How do I turn it down?

Click to collapse
Navigate with your explorer to the exe file (in your case igo.exe) pres and hold on it; you will see a new window; select copying. Than navigate to \Windows\StartMenu\Programs. select the Menu button, select Edit, select Paste Shortcut that's it; I know there are other way's but it depends of your explorer.
Is there a way we can just add a Silent/Vibrate icon in the home screen...."quick links" ??

I don't know how much this may help, but here goes:
With File Explorer on the phone, go to MyDevice then Windows. Select and hold on the file called 'Mute', then select Copy. Now in the Windows folder, select the Start Menu folder, then select the Programs folder. Select Menu, Edit and Paste Shortcut. Select and hold this shortcut, then select Rename and rename it from 'Shortcut to Mute' to 'Mute'.
Now if you go to your Quicklinks, select a blank window and add from the program list. You will now see the Mute in there.
Mute actually puts your phone into Silent Vibrate mode.

Hey nezzy.
You mean..."Using Root Explorer, navigate to /system, press the Mount R/W button, find build.prop, long press on it and select "Open in Text Editor"."?
Root explorer is required. From Android market and usually most file managers start on your sd card soooo..
Tap the go up 1 level icon and try looking in the system folder then.
You will find the build.prop file right at the bottom of the tree.

Is ther any way of copy and pasting an event in the calendar? My HTC Mozart 7 is upto date.
This is a nightmare for me not being able to copy and paste in the calendar, which worked perfectly on Windows mobile 6.1.
Press and hold on the entries to enable copy. Or just select the text, pres and hold, copy and then paste.
When I press & hold on event only option I get is edit or delete.
How can I get my apps to the ad card?
I'm rooted and running the stock Rom with all bloat removed..I will switch to cyanogen Rom when it comes out
Thanx
Rob
You can do it one of 3 ways. Grab es file explorer from the market and download it set it up to your preferences. Look for the menu boxes at the top right and select app manager. Then choose to muti-select and choose which apps you want backed up and long press on one of the apps and select backup.
Or
The quickest is grab root explorer from the market and download it, give it su permissions if your rooted and open it up and select data-app(long press on app), copy whole folder and back out gently, select sdcard and paste to folder of your choice.
Or
Last but not least, Titanium Backup/MyBackup Pro and use these apps to backup anything on the file system you want. Also requires root/such permissions.
Hope this helps you out.

I'm looking to move all my apps to the removable sd
When you open use root explorer it will open a list of directory files it will look like this (/) up at the top of the phone, this called mount. This the master directory of every file structure of the phone. You want to look for a directory file called data, select to open it. Then find the folder called App in the directory, this where all your apps are located for the most. Then long press on app folder and new commands will arise from the long press, then select copy from the commands. Then hit the back button to get back to your original directory file and then paste to your sdcard placement of your choice.
