Has anyone tried switching the internal and external sd cards in the fstab? If so, could I see your void.fstab?
I want to fully use the 64GB microSD card I just ordered. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't test it myself right now...

I am thinking of getting a 64gb micro sd card (which I believe will work in the GS2), how easy is it to transfer the apps and content that are already on my 32gb card? I is it as easy as just copying the content from the current card to my pc then copy it back to the new 64gb card?

Also, yes. It should be as easy as copying the content from one card to another.
Goes on sale tomorrow on Amazon UK for £99.
The SanDisk 64GB microSDXC does work in the SGS2 -- I've been using it for about a month now. If you're transferring stuff from an old memory card, I'd recommend the following procedure.
Remove the old card from your SGS2 and put in the new 64GB card.
Power up the SGS2; it'll say something like "external SD card is damaged. Do you want to reformat?" Say yes, and let the SGS2 reformat the card from exFAT to FAT32.
Remove the 64GB card from the SGS2.
Mount both the old & new memory cards on a PC, and do the copy there. Use your PC's SD card slot or a USB reader.
Once everything's copied to the 64GB card, put it in your SGS2 and you're done.
Isnt only up to 48gb sd card supported on our S2?
A couple of people have tried the SanDisk microSDXC 64GB , and it appears to work fine , after a format in the phone , 48gb is just the official max.

I'm coming from a phone with very low internal memory to one with 16GB. My question is around all the app data and where it would go in a phone with 16gb internal memory and not SD card.
Reason I ask is I would love to have all my apps stored internally and use my SD card mostly for music/pics..
Would this work or will apps put data in the SD if one is present.
another question would be what would happen if I have no SD card for a while, then I introduce the SD card..
All the data would be kept on the internal storage, which would be seen as a internal memory stick. If you put a microSD card in then it will store some data on the SD card but you could move it back by going to settings>applications>manage applications>on sd card
Been reading up on putting CM on the touchpad and the likes (I don't have one yet, picking it up on Friday) and people are saying to install from sd card and someone in a video showing a rom said that his gallery picked up images from his sd card...does this have an SD card slot? Cause I read that it didn't...or does it just treat the internal memory as SD card?
Thanks,
Niall
No it doesn't have an SD card slot. The only storage it has is the internal memory of either 16/32/64 gb. Yes, cm team treats this internal memory as the SD card.

No SD card slot. It's internal memory as you suspected. Android labels the folder sd card.
It's a good buy if you get it cheap. Enjoyable to hack. Have fun with it!

I'm on a custom rom of 4.0.4 and recently my internal sd card won't let me install/download anything. After investigating, I found out that 11gb of my external sd card is showing up in my internal sd, which itself is just 14 gb and that's why showing as maxed out. I can copy stuff into my external sd from internal sd but it doesn't matter. It's like am copying something in the same drive. Am thinking there's a fix to this. There has to be. I got a 64 gb external drive if that helps. Thanks.
Hello,
I recently bought a Lenovo A820 and am currently using LambdaROM 2.3.5a. My phone has 4GB of internal space and I have a 8GB microSD card in it as well. My internal storage is running low, but my internal sd card is empty and cannot be used, because I've all things on the external sd. Is there anyway to merge the internal sd card with the internal phone storage? I've searched long and hard already, but found no concrete information. I know I can swap memories and even link my sd card to the phone storage. But my internal storage is 4GB which only 2GB are being used for the phone storage and 2GB are partitioned to the internal sd card. I would like to merge them into the internal phone storage, if possible. My question is: is it possible? If so, how can I do it?
Thank you.
Bump for ZLR/ALPS F9006
Hi
You cannot merge virtual internal SD and physical external SD into one volume.
However you can probably swap it - which should solve all of your problems.
Your phone has MTK6589 chip, so the process will be similar as on my Snopow: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2777140
After the swap external SD will be visible as internal SD and the other way round. That means you can buy 64GB SD card and have all this space available for installing apps because phone will see this card as internal storage.
