Does anyone know why my root explorer app the fonts are so small, it does it sporadically and also does it in my sqlite editor, other apps seem okay.
Edit: solved, system fonts were set to small amd apparently made that drastic change.

Is there an app I can use to do this or some settings I can change to make the font size larger? I tried an app called "Root Changer (root user)" didn't really work. Thanks everyone.

Spare parts works great
I have spare parts but it only changes the font size within the app.

I'm also looking for an app like that, i want to make my front smaller
Maybe you could change directly the front with flipfont ?
I installed the Zapf Chancery font from flipfont and thats the reason I'm trying to find something that increases the font size. It's a great font just to small.

I think the only way to do what you are asking is to edit the font through the creation of a font and install it with flipfont. There is a great thread (created by Ritalin) with all the info how to do it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745345 - there may be one already created that's perfect for you.
It's a very easy process. It is a bit time consuming changing the font size if you don't get it right the first time cause you have to do it over and over till you get the size right.
Thanks for the thread, I appreciate it.

Hi,
Im using root explorer to change the system fonts but after replacing/reboot the fonts in system\font\ the font didnt change...
the only way is to change it in settings but there isnt my fav font included.
any idea?
Download and install your favourite font, then change it. There is a threat at xda called Flipfonts where you can find a lot of font apks.

Hi,
I have moved from note 1 to note 2 and I have t say they have not done a great job of optimising touch wizz for the note 2.
You have big blank patches at the top and bottom of the homescreens and although there are 5 icons in the bottom launch bar there are only 4 wide on the homescreen.
This makes the extra real estate over an SIII a bit pointless.
I would like to change it to a 5 column layout but I don't want to root (breaks my banking app).
Is there any way to change the layout without either changing to another launcher or rooting the phone?
i doubt its possible because its a system app that needs to be edited and you will need root for that.
just root your phone with cf and you can get it

Hey guys, I like to Luzon my DPI to 280 from 320 to make the system show smaller fonts (and to spoof SPB Launcher to allow 5x5 grid instead of 4x4). The app I use, (LCD Resolution) for some reason won't retain my settings are after a reboot.
I've been out of the android game for the last year, so I'm playing catch-up

Have you messed around with the xposed framework?
That is what I use to change the DPI on select apps.

I think he wants the entire system changed isn't xposed just app by app? I personally just change it in my build.prop save and reboot. However pimp my ROM let's you do it if you prefer

I set my system LCD density, then used xposed to set apps that need 320 dpi.

Dear friends ,is there any app or trick to convert white to black background of any app.

If you are rooted most apps are available inverted. Or you will need to learn how to edit the .apk yourself..... And before the haters jump on me technically you only need root to change system apps.
Let's try this again

Thanks , I want to change chrome beta and default browser background to black to save battery.
In amoled display , with black background , we can save lot of juice .

I don't know if anyone has done chrome beta yet but I'm sure your stock browser has been done. However the stock browser will require root to apply. Do a google search for both inverted. I'm sure they will come back.

Has anyone actually done the math to determine just how much battery life you're conserving by using a black background vs the effort/time of use to really see a difference? I would want at least an hour to make it an option.

Blacks in amoled display does not need any back lights and other browsers with black background, I have gone upto one and half hour extra.
