Try checking if fastboot is connected wit \
Code:
fastboot devices
If not then try to reinstall fastboot drivers or connect/reconnect ..
You just install "flashtool" for your pc then you connect your device to pc ( it must to be on flashboot mode) then flash the kernel you want. It easy and nothing problem

Is it possible to somehow run commands through the Flashtool?
I'm trying to flash a new kernel to my XPS but I can't because my comp won't find the device when im using cmd with fastboot commands (adb works just fine) and Flashtool can detect the phone while in fastboot.
How is it possible that Flashtool recognize the phone as connected through fastboot but the cmd does not?
(all drivers are installed and believe me I have searched both the forums and google for answers...)
'fastboot devices' shows nothing while in cmd.
So my question is: Since flashtool finds my device in fastboot is there some way to use fastboot commands through flashtool or any other (perhaps easier) way to do it?
Thanks in advance!
When using adb are you running from the right location and have android sdk installed I had the same problem as you and once I installed everything correctly adb was working fine.
There is a post you'll have to search for it on using and setting up adb correctly..
Good luck!

hi
I have sony ericsson neo v(MT15i) with unlocked bootloader
my phone is locked with password and I do not know the password.(I need my contacts and other data) , adb debug is not active
I want to install cwm via fastboot , then I will be able to install aroma file manager and I will be able to delete "password.key' and "gesture.key"
if you have adb and fastboot in your pc the only way i can help is this:unzip recoveryneo.zip and get recoveryneo.img.put it in androidsdk/tools.(you must have fastboot there too).then in terminal type:
Code:
fastboot devices (you must see the SN of your device)
fastboot boot recoveryNeo.img
after finish
fastboot reboot
this will not install cwm on your phone.this will just boot in recovery without install it.after you reboot there is no recovery.

Your phone must have decided to abandon fastboot and went into charging mode. When you connect to fastboot, check to see if the charging icon comes up, if it does. It means your phone is not staying in fastboot.
You'll need to install fastboot drivers.
Refer to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1554632
I faced your problem before, and following that thread unlocked my bootloader. Good luck!

Have you installed the drivers for fastboot or ADB? If not you have to do so, and it shouldn't take much time if you use the fastboot gordon gate installer.
Ok, so here's my problem: I want to install twrp recovery on my z5c, the bootloader is unlocked and I can enter fastboot mode using the reboot bootloader adb command. But once I'm in fastboot mode and I enter fastboot devices, there is no response. I've downloaded the fastboot driver from the sony xperia site and placed it in my platform tools folder. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?

Then reinstall the flashtool drivers
if you get desperate, grab the sdk from google
