Im currently using the pac man rom and im loving it the only thing is that i feel that the camera is not as good as the sense camera is there any way i can have this camera again?

No, there is no way,, there are some features that are exclusive to the sense framework that will never work on AOSP, there is a good comparison between this two, check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32953601

Rachts Hackdroid ROMs are the best roms for CM7. They only have the camera disabled and the LED bugs. Apart from that its the smoothest and the fasted CM7 ROM.
Also worth noting is the XGin4 ROM by Shpit. Its fast and stable and the LED bug is fixed.
Hackdroid and XGin are great ROMs.

Dunno about the camera man. But from what I've heard its gonna take sometime before the camera starts working on 2.3.X ROMs.

Because it is based on AOKP, which is Senseless, the camera not working is one of the bugs that have not been worked out. I'm sure once a dev fixes it, there will be elation on these boards.

I'm wondering, strictly wondering, if the Camera.apk and associated .odex file could be pulled from a CM9 ported ROM and put on this one. Just to see if it works.
You'd have to manually delete the old files and put the new ones on, restart to recovery, fix permissions, and then restart.

I had to do this with the Camera on an ICS ROM and it started working. Bear in mind that it was a Sense ROM, not a Senseless one.
Try it and let us know if it works.

I know the CM9 port has the 2d camera working, so your idea might work, but even if it does, the front camera and 3d stilll are a work in progress.

I do occasionally use both, but I mainly wanted the OP to know before trying to incorporate that camera only to find stuff not working.
I do look forward to the day when cm9 and other aosp roms will fully work on the 3d.

Yeah, I'm interested in trying a Senseless ROM, however, I'm one of the many who simply enjoy their HTC Sense Widgets!!!

Aaron just uploaded 38a and stated that 38b will have camera working. Check his thread. Just updated. Not too much longer.
However, if you want camera working in aosp, devil toast has working camera.

That's why I don't leave sense either, but when I do use a different launcher, I use Android Pro Widgets as those are very sense like.

I HAD reflashed boosted rom from chubz and for soñé reason I noticed no camera looked around and found flashable file
Silenced htc camera file.. after I flashdd it camera was back 3d 2d and front facing

I want to imagine nothing is impossible. I love AOKP except the less than great camera quality. There has to be a way to port the TW Camera to AOKP. If I remember correctly, the TW camera integrates into the tw-framework somehow. Can anyone give me any direction to start trying to solve this?
If not and everyone believes it is impossible, is there a third-party camera app everyone uses that takes better pictures than the stock AOSP one?

Are you certain the quality is less? By default Samsung ROMs have a lot of screen sharpening. Oversharpening in my opinion. On a computer the AOSP pics look just as good to me.

No mate. And unfortunately cybershot mod will not work on cm9. Real pity. If you want you can add android 4.2 camera but not sure that you will have the options you wish.

The 4.2 and 4.3 roms (Pac) have camera issues.
What's the latest rom version that the camera works fine, and the system isn't so laggy, that you are aware of and can help me decide.

As far as I know, everything but the stock based gingerbread ROMs have rear camera issues
The most support for the camera I know of is one ICS rom which can take pictures fine, but has a buggy preview and many other bugs
I also think that the video camera works on JB roms

What do you mean tiny issues, camera? Really I don't mind if it's not perfect, I just need the camera to work somehow, so you still say stock is the latest??
Any other ROMs preferably ICS (supporting Chrome) are also considerable, I hope I didn't piss anyone off with this sentence.

4.2 just requires that you use the fast burst camera app.
