[Q] Youtube not refreshing? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just a really small problem here, nonetheless slightly annoying.
The trending now on my youtube app wouldn't refresh. So basically I am stuck with stuff 1 week ago.
Tried clearing cache, data and uninstalling updates, but nothing worked. I can't uninstall the system app
as I haven't rooted my phone yet.
Anyone else having this problem?

I have the same problem but when I uninstall my app then install it again the problem was fixed! Try to delete your app then install newer or older version of app!

I agree with the way gameoverbaby!

Market apps not updating

I have the bug with the new market where by if I press the update button to update the app, it gets stuck on this white screen with the loading circle and it just stays there. This occasionally happens to new apps I want to install as well.
I know solutions include clearing market app data, deleting the Android folder from sdcard, and wiping dalvik cache, but none of them work permanently.
Any ideas?

BUMP up again for one last time
Yes, I think many of us have this problem since the new market 3.x.x.
Slow solution is just retry again another time or another day, it will be no problem.
Quick solution is just uninstall the app and then install again via market.
same problem here too, earlier I thought that since I'm in China there might be a few apps that won't have update support here. But it actually started since the new market update.
In fact, in market, it's just showing 4-5 apps that need to be updated for me, but if I see in Appbrain, it shows 47 apps, but can't get an update from either way.
I found that most of the time going into settings->applications->market->then removing user data seemed to clear the history and I could update that program in market again.
Yup ive done all of the suggestions above! In fact ive done it so many times and no matter what it still goes back to being bugged. Uninstalling updates does help bring back the old market for the time being, but it auto updates back to the new one in no time.
I wonder if the new ICS market solves any of this.
clear the data (cache) for market and appbrain
Your not alone,I get this too not sure if it will be fixed anytime soon. I had it where I updated an app twice in one day! Stupid market!

[Q] Market "My Apps" Screen Shows Up White...

After installing the updated Google+, I started having a ton of data connectivity problems. I was able to uninstall Google+ and that seems to have fixed those issues. The one remaining issue I'm having is that whenever I go to "My Apps" in the market, all it shows is a white blank screen. I can download and install apps just fine (and even update them) but I can NOT get to the my apps screen. I was on Market 3.1.5 when this started. I've tried clearing Market data, market cache, changing Google accounts, clearing cache and dalvik from CWM, uninstalling and reinstalling the market via TiBu (both with and without data) and even updating to market 3.3.11 which is posted in the Apps and Themes section - all to no avail. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm on Motorola Atrix, CM7 not beta not nightly version with faux123's 1.45GHz kernel.

Been having the same problem here (on two different ROMs) on an HTC Droid Incredible. Have done multiple reflashes; nandroid restores, etc., but since "MyApps" disappeared earlier this week, absolutely zero solutions.
Was banging my head against the wall until I discovered (ironally, of course after Googling) a recent thread on DroidForums about the problem. Nobody has solved it; the new market doesn't fix it. And I can't believe that it hasn't become a bigger deal in the Android community if it's widespread.
One recommended solution I haven't tried is to scrap market and go with AppBrain until Google gets their act together. Another is to freeze Market Updater. Haven't tried that myself.
UPDATE: Okay, now I *have* tried the freeze Market Updater method and that has zero effect. I've filed an issue at Google's site for whatever that's worth.
Try this: go into market app on phone, search an app that is allready installed on your device. Uninstall it with market app and then reinstall it again from market and reboot your phone.
Don't wipe any data or cache! That's very important!
After rebooting go to market and open "My Apps"...no you should see all your installed apps.
This works for me at each time.
Nope. Was worth a try. Meanwhile, engaging with the techie at Google got me the "are you using an OS other than the one authorized by HTC."
Oh, pulease.

sorry i tryed, but my apps remain white!
Same to me :-(
White Applist. Installing new Stock-ROM (Galaxy 2). Apps could be seen. After restore with TB, Applist is white again. This morning on my Galaxy Tab (never touched this): Applist is also white. Bull**t. Using App-Center meanwhile fore updating.

I solved the prob by deinstalling Black Markets on device. After this wipe the data of the Android Market and your Apps will be shown.
After the problem persisted over 3 different ROMs, except an AOSP ROM I just didn't like, I simply switched to AppBrain to get Market functionality.
It'll work until Google fixes the issue.
Try to deinstall other markets, especially "black markets" and wipe the data from the Android Market. It works!
yeah!! thanks. The problem is the black market... searching alternatives markets...
stupid

Youtube App

I did a reset on my Jetstream last night and again this morning because the Youtube app is not showing my new videos from my subscriptions like it normally does when I open it. I have cleared the cache and data several times and this has not fixed the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and how do I fix it. Going to the "your channel" section is a pain because it never hardly updates the new uploads and it will show a lot of new videos for each subscription and I have already watched them.
When apps act pesky like that, uninstall them, clear user cache, reboot, then install again from the market. Log in and see if that did it.

The stock Youtube on the HTC Jetstream sits on top of HTC Scence, therefore the the only method to uninstall it is to firstly ROOT you device (assuming that the Bootloader has already been Unlocked) then proceed to uninstall it Thereafter, install version 4.3.9 (the current Youtube version). You may also need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player as well

there is no option to uninstall. i think facebook is a pre-loaded app on this phone.
i cleared cache and data and tried to update in the applications setting and getting this error.
Do you have the latest Play Store version? (Got updated a couple of days ago). According to several news sources, a lot of people across different devices are experiencing the same problem as you.

Had this problem on my previous phone, which include facebook as pre-loaded app (so you can't uninstall the app).
The problem suddenly occurs, didn't know what have triggered it, because I can update it on several previous versions. The only solution at the time is uninstall it completely with titanium backup and reinstall normally from google play. Let's see how it goes with XZU.. Looks like software glitches are everywhere with the current firmware. Wondering which version my XZU will come with.. It's officialy distributed in 19 August here in Indonesia.

[Q] not able to install youtube app

Got this weird problem with youtube app, everytime I tried to update it - it said out of space.
So I uninstalled it completely using link2sd and tried to reinstall from play store but still same issue.
For some reasons I noticed that few system apps after creating link using link2sd were not getting updated, I had noticed same issue with google+ as well but then I needed reset my device so was able to get it back but this time I dont want to waste my time in resetting device.
Please note, I am able to install/update all other apps, including system apps - just this app youtube is having this problem.
Any pointers?
