hi
do you mean an FAQ style section?
no problem, as long as you point out which issues to list

Thanks for pointing out. I found the dl for firmware 2.1 mini (not mini pro), again from NORDIC, and updated #1 accordingly.

thank you
I separated the mini/mini pro ROMs and did some small adjustments
still, this thread is not state of the art anymore, I'm simply lacking the time
I would love to keep it up-to-date, if you (the members in general) would provide the required input
Thnx

Hey everyone here, i am a XDA user since last few months and i am very happy , coz everyone here is very helpful and devs are awesome.
I got many help from XDA for my xperia X10.:good:
now i want to know is there any MIUI rom for Xperia P or is anyone porting MIUI to Xperia P.
MIUI is great Rom , and if it will be in Xperia P , then it will be awesome.
I thought requests should go to the Q&A Forum. Maybe I'm not right.
But I agree with you, som1 please port MIUI?
miui is based on cm, so before cm9 is stable you can only have miui experience (see below)
Wrong Section, Havent searched.... Instead of asking for MIUI try making one by yourself. As drdownload wrote, you need stable CM9 or 10 in order to make one
Please post in the appropriate section.
Moved to Q&A
thanks everyone for the info, i will be careful next time while posting new thread.
check my thread instead

Hello,
I am new member of XDA Developers. I have been using Sony Xperia Neo L (MT25i) for quite some time. By searching on Google I found out about this site. I am really very excited to know that I can all sort of MOD's on my phone.
But I really need to some basic information, as it is my first time.
1) Upside & Downside of Modding
2) What is deference between Custom ROM and Stock ROM ?
3) What is deference between Custom Kernel and Stock Kernel ?
4) How can I make backup of my phone's Stock ROM & Kernel ?
5) Is there any newbie guide available ?
More Questions coming. And I am kinda lost with all of the topics for Neo L Roms and Kernels .
Any Help will be appreciated.
N.B - If you think it will be too much lengthy to explain, you can just reply with link/links. So, I can read and understand them.
Welcome to XDA!!!
First you may wanna read the rules for starting a new thread..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2080250 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1464229...
After that read the sticky threads in all the sections..nd sure there are newbie guides available..just search and you'll find them :good:
Stock Rom and Stock Kernel are the ones which Sony gives you when you get the phone...
Custom Roms and Custom Kernels are the ones which the Devs here make...these are the modified ones..with tweaks for better battery, performance..ui changes etc..
Hi I've been using xperia x8 since last 3 years and gingerdx 0.30 since it's been release on it... I'm planning to sell xperia x8 and buy xperia u . what is the best rom like GingerDX for xperia U ? or stock is better enough ?
Thanks in advance for reply
Wrong forum. We have a Q&A forum for that. You should also decide on your own which is best by testing it.
Sorry I created a thread there, please close this thread.
There is no best, it is whats best for you...which may not be best for others....
