[Q] Wifi/Bluetooth "Error" when trying to turn on wifi - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have pretty messy problem with X10, which i have to repair.
The problem is - when i want to turn my wifi on, after about 20 seconds of waiting phone shows "Error", that's just with my bluetooth - same.
Phone had 2.3.3 official android on it. I tried to make a factory reset, but nothing. Then i unlocked bootloader, flashed tons of ROMs and kernels and no progress. Some roms (or kernels) got me to next progress, i was able to turn wifi on, but it won't show me any of wifi networks available.
ONLY i get progress, when i installed MIUI ROM, i was able to see my wifi network, BUT that rom was real mess. It hot rebooted all the time after 10 sec. after boot up. Is there real possibilities to solve this problem? I have tried about 3 days to get it work, but nothing...
p.s i havent tried to install any of older firmwares (like 1.6; 2.1 or smth)
Thanks!
Hope you'll understand me, coz i'm not from any English country, lol.

Flash a stock kernel and its wifi modules. then report back.

Did you repair with SEUS or PC Companion ?? If not, that's the first step :good:

As Madmike above says if you have big problem's use SEUS.
You can try drag and dropping a FTF file like this for eg. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212260 into flashtool.
Follow instruction's from op.
Download V.4 And check no final verifacation in flash-tool.
Need latest version of flashtool's. For drag n drop.
Hope it help's.

I just tried repairing phone with SEUS, but no result.

I have flashed this ROM too, but this rom is not solution.

Does repairing with SEUS not work or does WIFI after repairing still not working??
If WIFI does not work after SEUS repair, I'm quite sure it is hardware related. Too bad ... you could try open the phone and reassign all the connectors on the pcb, worked for me once when speaker was broken, but thats just last hope or alternative...

Same here. We need a solution. This problem isn't a hardware, but software. How about drivers and all that? Is it possible to reinstall drivers?

Anyone can help? Need a solution for this problem!

So, i just installed MM TEAM MIUI stock rom, which came with kCernel kernel. Also, there was wifi modules. So i tried to install it without wifi module at the begginning. So - again wifi error. BUT, when i installed wifi module, now i can turn wifi on, BUT.. it doesn't show me any wifi network + the device restarts all the time for about 5 sec. after boot.
Any ideas for fixing WiFi?

Tell me how you are using flashtool, like, which folder are you putting generic firmware.
It should be in the firmware folder.
If you have it in the right folder. What are the error messages saying in flashtool?
Do you know how to put the phone in flash mode for flashtool?
Which version of flashtool do you have?

could the reboots and apps crashing caused by battery?
I myself have same issue, regards battery i read somewhere a guy had a reboot, crash problem, he bought a 2500mA bat and claimed no more issues? So i think if battery over a two year age then maybe time for new, maybe somewhere these bats cnt handle the sudden power requirements required any longer, i have 4 bats, each oldr than 3 years at least. Anyone knw a place in za that one cd purchase a stronger amperage bat? I cd imagine a hardware issue, bt then why do so many work perfectly but some kp dn this? I have rd many complaints regards this phone. If it still is crashing i wdnt exactly call it anywhere near fixed? Bt im sitting with this prob, and im baffled, bt i still think a stronger batry wd be the 1st solution.

Not very helpful, apart from the keyboardlight fix. He can't unlock his bootloader, so he can't flash the nAa-GB kernel and so he can't run MiniCM7-2.2.1. He might still be able to use the fix for his keyboardlights though.

[Q] Xperia Neo Wlan issue

Hi everyone,
i got a xperia neo mt15i. i have a problem with the wlan. if i activate it,it doesnt find anything, the phone is getting hot and reboots randomly. i have tried some firmwares, but the wlan wont work. if i dont activate the wlan, the phone acts normally. is that a problem with the hardware? what i can do to find out whats the problem is?
(sorry for my bad english)...
Try stock rom. This can be done by repair option in PC Companiaon or Sony Update Service. If it doesn't help it might be hardware damage.
I have tried a Stock Rom and i have flashed the modem new..but it doesnt work.
Is there no tool, that can check the hardware?
Pc Companion wont work, because i am using Cyanogenmod 9...

Then use flashtool. But since you said you tried stock rom, I guess you already used flashtool.
btw. what new modem? what are you taking about?
If it's not working on stock rom(I mean clean stock rom), then take it to the service center.
I have used Flash Tool. The Modem i have flashed was the original from stock. Service center i dont want to because it has no guarantee...
so i think i have to live without wlan..maybe i thought sombody else have the same problem and a solution like soldering something..but i think
i have to buy a new handy...

[HELP] Touchscreen not working-SOLUTION FOUND!!

I recently flashed a CM9 based rom on my Xperia Sola, but after flashing its touchscreen stopped working, don't know why?I tried flashing .54 ftf via flashtool,it installed perfectly but it didn't make touchscreen respond. Then i tried it repairing through SUS but to no avail.Does anybody here know what would've gone wrong because i haven't flashed any custom kernel on it(yep locked bootloader) and i don't think that a rom can damage hardware(i know 'cause i have been porting CM9 based roms on my sola and they worked perfectly without any flaw). Is it the calibration problem or something?Don't know what should i do now.....

Yes the different device ftf may cause touchscreen fault due to driver mismatching/wrong kernel, but i was using Sola's ftf so that is ruled out.Although you are right that something different is corrupting the screen 'cause Xperia Mini had the same problem that was related to some rom flashing.
Or may be,the flashtool doesn't format all the partitions of the phone and there are some hardware files still lurking somewhere in the one of the partition thats causing the problem, but its just my guess.
I thought that only wrong kernel can cause hardware failure, didn't knew that a simple rom flash can do this,so lesson learnt:silly:

Does the touchscreen fault occured after flashing a rom/mod or after a physical damage?
If it is related to some physical damage, the solution won't work and you have to send it to service center.

[Q] Xperia Go st27i - Touchscreen not working after flashed custom rom

Dear xda forumers/developer,
my xperia go touchscreen is not working after flashed the custom rom. ive searched the entire forum for this matter, other than send to service center, there's no suggested solution yet. i respect everyone of you, so please return e a favour.
rom before flash:
stock ics 6.1.1.B.1.1.0
rom which lead to this problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242539
reason:
the stock is quite laggy, so i decided to try other rom
what ive tried so far:
SEUS to restore stock ROM - boots fine, touch screen not working
PC Companion, repair option - boots fine, touch screen still not working
Flashtool, flash stock ics 6.1.1.B.1.1.0 - boots fine, touch screen still not working
Flashtool, flash stock gb 6.0.B.3.184 - boots fine, touch screen still not working
Full restore from CWM backup - boots fine, touch screen still not working
the touchscreen works perfectly fine before flash the custom rom
The device however, boot fine, no boot-loop etc.
Just that since ive flashed the stock rom, recovery (CWM) and root access was gone. plus, i cant do anything to get through the setup screen/first time setup.
since CWM and Root was gone, i have no idea on how to install/put it back. i assuming CWM was gone because i cant seems to access the recovery. any idea?
any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!
u can try this

dun switch on
flash wrong ftf (say xperia u)
still dun switch on
flash xperia go ftf
now swtich on
ps - this works after cross flashing of ftf
never tried for cwm flashing leading to touchscreen failure
at maximum ... flashing a wrong ftf will make touchscreen non usable (which u r already having)
so u have nothing to loose
just try it
plz at ur own risk.... dun screw me if something goes bad

thanks for the reply. the developer has been informed about the non-working touch screen. maybe i should wait for an update.
meanwhile, do you have any idea on how to root & install cwm on stock rom?
currently on ics, with non-working touchscreen, i have basic knowledge about rooting and installing CWM, but have no idea on how to work on it, cant access menu and usb debugging due to touchscreen problems.
can we chat on skype? my skype id "cjoenic" , maybe you can give me some idea.

I won't say that to b hardware fault coz many people had the issue who successfully resolved
So no hardware problm
Bt they all flashed wrong ftf files and not cwm flashable Rom

I do have an idea and maby two ideas, but if it works I do not know. there is a difference between the two files as you can see, that each can be found in the ROMs after they are unpacked I thought to modify the file and stop, it in the custom rom but I think it makes little difference because the ROM does not yet start with a custom kernel .. I hope the other members know something how we can solve the problem or at least one that the ROM has made. otherwise it will go these week to a service center with the standard rom and closed boat lauder ... and let the service guys solve the problem, luckily the phone is in warranty: p but i wait for the time being: p
sorry for my bad english: d
