Wifi tether hack? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Why is this needed? My wife can turn on both her hot spot and tether on command on a stock non rooted VZW gs4.

It is for users on an unlimited data plan. Verizon blocks the usage of the wifi tether built into the S4. With the hack it enables unlimited plan users to use the built in wifi tether.

So whats going to happen to barnacle wifi?

I heard about how starting nov 3 tmobile will begin to charge for tethering. My question is does this mean that we wont be able to use barnacle wifi any longer without paying for tethering? Or will it not be affected?

Won't be affected. It's only going to be charged if you use T-Mobile's tethering app.

WiFi Tether, it's not in the Market you will need to do a Google search.
Just grab the latest version:
WiFi Tether
How does this compare to what's included with cm 7?

Wi-fi calling?

I used the Note 2 on T-Mobile before I moved over to Verizon with their Note 2. On the TMobile one I could use the Wi-fi calling instead of my minutes and it worked great. But on the Verizon verzion I don't wvwn have Wifi calling in settings or anything. How do I get that back? How do I activitie Wi-fi calling?

That's an option exclusive to T-Mobile. There are ways to do that with 3rd party apps and Google Voice number.

[Q] [cm10.1] Do you have to pay extra for native tether?

Stock, you must pay extra for native tether.
My question is simple. On CM10.1, will sprint charge me if I use native wifi tether?
No
