I also cannot make root with Mac and looking for help
Hi guys,
I'm looking to root my GM800TW that's running Android version 2.3.5, but I can't find any directions on rooting specific to my phone online. Does anyone have any experience in rooting this phone that could help?
Thanks in advance!
Does anyone know how to get root on the Samsung Replenish using a Mac? My Replenish is on the Gingerbread update.(2.3.6) I did find a rooting guide here on XDA but its Windows-only. The only tool like Odin is Heimdall, but it only works with Galaxy S devices. I've tried pretty much all the rooting tools out there I think but if anyone can help me please do. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I could not find a sub-forum for the Replenish.
Seriously? Nobody can answer this?

I recently purchased a Galaxy S4 i337m (Canadian) and have been desperately digging around for a method of rooting that does not involve CWM or custom firmware or anything, I just want to gain root access.
I stumbled across this site: whiteboard.ping.se/Android/Rooting which offers a general root any android tutorial. With my basic understanding of linux/unix commands, it seems promising.
I was just wondering if someone with more experience could have a look and tell me if this method would work with the i337m.
Before you start telling me to just use Odin, I'm running Ubuntu
