I recently bought a HTC Desire X, it came preinstalled with JB and hboot 1.25.000. First I set it up in stock configuration, and used it for a weekend.
Recently I installed myONEdx+ RC1.0 (JB, Sense 4+) ROM, since then the following problem occurs:
Whenever I open the clock app, it opens to the default "world clock" tab, shows the earth animation centering on my location, and then crashes/closes - without showing the "application has stopped" dialogue.
I found this thread on Clock crashes and tried removing all non-stock ringtones, to no avail.
I have also tried clearing data of the Clock app and wiping cache and dalvik in recovery, neither solved the problem.
Any thoughts on troubleshooting the issue are appreciated.
Have you try this fix ?

And you do make a full wipe installation, right ?

does it kill evertything BUT sense? I noticed that on todays build of rewind. My guess is the devs figured out how to "lock home in memory" and it's fine. Thoughts?

Hi
So as the title says, the thing went like:
- I use checkrom revolution from some time now (currently at v4)
- I tried ICS remix rom from westcrip I think it was v7.3 no-wipe. I did't do a backup, this was my mistake
- As it was not as good for a daily use, I reflashed checkrom
- The shortcut to calendar had changed to something like "app not installed", when I go to add shortcut, calendar doesn't appear in the list
There is a Calendar.apk and CalendarProvider.apk in system/app, if I run it, it launchs an installer but at the end it says "Application not installed"
I know there are lots of calendar apps in market but I liked the default, so I'd like to know if there is a way to get it back :s
Any help will be appreciated

You don't run .apk files in /system/app. If the files are already there, they should be in your app list. If they're NOT in your app list, reboot. If they're still not in your app list, factory reset/data wipe. If they're STILL not in your app list, reflash checkrom.
EDIT: How are you adding the shortcut? Long press on the homescreen, or long press on the icon in your app drawer? Does the calendar show up at all in your app drawer?

Factory reset>flash stock again. BACK UP!!!>flash whichever ROM you like.
Saying "I didn't backup, my mistake" is a pathetic and lame excuse.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
It isn't in my app drawer either, I forgot to mention it in the OP, I was doing long press on homescreen. I've rebooted and reflashed checkrom, I was hoping for an option that didn't involve wipe/reset
And when I said I didn't backup was not meant as an excuse, just more information, in case someone asked if I did it / suggested to recover from backup

Wait - are you trying to flash back from ICS to a GB based ROM withOUT wiping? Yeah, as far as I know, that'll never work. You will HAVE to wipe.
EDIT: To be honest, I'm kind of surprised you're not seeing more problems and issues with your phone, if you DIDN'T wipe going from ICS back to GB.
That's right, I flashed back to GB from ICS with just cache/dalvik wipe and everything works fine, the calendar gone is the only problem I have.
Thanks for the answers, I guess I'd have to go with the wipe.

Hello,
i'm trying to reply in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436854&page=6888

i installed the rom with xperia launcher, everything seems to be working except the clock, wich always crashes (tried already moving back and forth cm10 kernels and roms, full data/dalvik/cache wipes) and it just wont work (cant' set alarms etc) this is really stopping me from using this mod :X
thanks in advance

try this for now and see
1)go to system settings > apps
2) under All tab find the clock app and clear data/cache of the same
3) reboot to recovery and under advance option do fixpermission.
4) reboot to system and then check for clock issue

Hi guys,
I'm having this error "Unfortunately, Message has stopped." every time I try to delete a message that has an attachment on it. I'm not able to delete even the whole conversation without getting that error.
I have tried several procedures:
1. clear data on message on System app and by TB;
2. Delete all text messages by using SMS Backup & Restore. On this one it actually delete all messages except the ones that have attachment on it
I'm running AOKP Milestone 6 and I would appreciate any suggestion that may help me to solve this issue.
I know that a hard reset will fix this, but I am saving that to my last option.
Thank you.
Maybe try re-flashing Gapps or maybe just the Mms.apk? Delete cache and davlik cache before doing it obviously

Hi Crawshayi, thank you for your reply.
I tried re-flashing Gapps (20120429) and Mms.apk and nothing changed.
I also tried: cleaning cache and data (system app), hit "delete all msg" (MSN backup) and again, everything with attachment wont get deleted.
If I try one by one I get that:

h ttp://imageshack.us/a/img542/9947/screenshot2012100919141.png
(Sorry I cannot post links yet)
Frustrating, but I will not give up.
Hmm I don't know if this will make a difference, but the latest Gapps is 20120726 not 20120429. Get it from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps
Let me try that right now.

No, it did not work.
I tried to install the mms.apk from the AOKP - JB Build 4 and I got:
Parse error, there is a problem parsing the package

.
I'm not sure if that is compatible, but I'm googling a solution for that now.
Update:
I had to re-flash old Gapps (20120429) because a lot of stuffs were having "Parse errors" (Talk, maps...).
Update 10/13/12:
Flashed CM10 today and all bugged text messages disappeared. JB is running so smooth...
All fixed now.
Thanks Crawshayi for your help.
Hello, I just installed the Paranoid Android 3.60 ROM that I downloaded via this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27465239.
I am using a Sprint Galaxy Nexus.
The problem I am running into is with the "hybrid properties" in the settings. Everything else with the ROM has worked wonderfully, but I believe the Hybrid is the main reason to run this ROM and I cannot access it. Any time i click the Hybrid Properties in settings, I get "Unfortunately, settings has stopped responding." I have reinstalled and wiped factory and dalvik/ caches.
I am at a loss and any help would be appreciated. From the change log it looks like this may have been an old issue and was apparently fixed..
I have searched the forums here as well as Google and all i could come up with was one other person having this problem and it was never resolved.
Anyone else have this or know how to fix it?
Same Issue using 3.65

Having the same issue with a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, just installed PA 3.65 and it's doing the same thing. I'll have to admit to not wiping cache and dalvik cache after updating OS. I've tried reinstalling and wiping, but still no "hybrid properties" without the "Unfortunately, settings has stopped responding." message. Did you wipe caches on first install?

Noob issue I think. I had installed 3.60 using one thread and 3.65 using another, thinking Paranoid Android is Paranoid Android, probably not wise to mix? Anyway, backed off to the 3.60 version and it is working again.
