Hi all,
I have been searching for months on this forum and google for an answer but am getting no where.
I am trying to test ROMs (developing and existing ones available) before flashing to my phone.
I have the SDK emulator installed, but i cannot seem to get a custom rom running.
I have both Windows and Linux platforms. Linux has the mkfs.yaffs2/unyaffs to create the .img files, but none load.
I download the stock PDA from Sams, and extracted the system.img file, added to the ./android/AVD_FOLDER, and this just hangs on the ANDROID screen.
Can someone please assist? Surely there must be away of testing custom ROMs and Kernels prior to flashing? Or do the uber devs just develop direct on the phone and continually flash the phone?
Wrong section, also I think most Rom cooks here continually re flash.

I appreciate this may be the wrong section, all though would be part of test/development for newbies like myself.
There surely must be away?

Blimey theres alot there. But nothing that can help, i went through the first 50 pages, and the last 25.

You aren't reading correctly, I am saying that read how to categorize your thread into sections.
It is written that if you did not get any answer in that thread, then post in Q&A section
What I am trying to make you realize is that this thread doesn't belong to Development Section.
Nothing more than that
Can any dev assist? Is there away of testing custom Roms on the emulator?

This board has some rules, you know, and you're breaking them. Do you really think your questions are important enough? Do you think that outher peoples' questions are not as important? And don't you think that with a few hundred users posting their very_important_questions in a dev section we would never find the threads we want?

Another thing, using a [DEV] title just to get attention is not a good idea, think about it for future.(You see what i did here)
My phone is completely stock and I can not install apk files. I have allowed unknown sources but my phone wont let me click install only cancel. Any suggestions?

If you head on over to the Q&A forums you may get quality answers. ask a Mod to move this since it's not the correct place. A lot of users wont answer threads posted in the wrong section. Good luck

I don't think its signed with developer keys.. or the file(s) you downloaded are corrupted...
Here, take a look at this thread, it should be helpful for you...
And I don't think this is the "proper" section to post questions or problems like yours.. so please post them on "correct sections

Among other things this thread's title is senseless.
Change it to How to access LBF-file or similar.
Anyway:
If you're speaking of a file created with LG Backup app then you can restore its content with this app.

What is the device doing now? Bootlooping, will not power on, stuck in bootloader/Fastboot mode...
Root status, if you know (Rooted, not rooted)
Bootloader status, if you know (Locked/Unlocked)
Why Doesn't anyone reply to my Question?
