This is where you can come to get your stock S4 apps blacked out! The white background for MMS, contacts, calculator, etc are so bright, and annoying! Not to mention the fact that the S4 has a Super AMOLED display, which consumes a ton of power while using apps with white backgrounds. This is why i have done what i have. If you text a lot, this can help save some battery life, as black pixels take 0 power to display. This will now flash everything in one go (MMS, Contacts, Phone, and Calculator).
This should work on any deodex build (no word on the ME7 deodex yet). The main version is Verizon/Sprint and there's a separate T-Mobile version. I haven't had any reports about AT&T

FAQ
Q: Can i flash these on any S4 ROM?
A: As long as the ROM is deodexed, then yes (no word on ME7). This MIGHT work on odex builds according to some reports.
Q: Will this wipe any data?
A: No since framework is not flashed, so there is no need to setup accounts again.
Q: Do i need to wipe caches before flashing?
A: No
Q: Can you also theme (random third party app)
A: Probably not because if i take one request, I will have to take them all
Q: What needs to be done before flashing XDA?
A: First you need to flash the main black out zip (unless you already have the newest version with the xda fix installed), then uninstall your xda app from your phone. You may now flash the zip.
Q: Why do i need to do the above to flash the XDA zip?
A: For some reason the flash to data/app/ (where user apps are installed) does not work. It will only work by flashing to system/app/. Once this is done you can always convert it back to a user app if you wish.
Q: Can i get just (insert app here) separate if i don't want the others blacked out?
A: To keep this clean, i won't make separate flashes for each zip. Open it on your computer and delete what ones you don't want.

Since some people seem to not read my post one page back, I'll restate things here. THIS IS DISCONTINUED. The reason being I don't have time to do multiple versions for multiple carriers. You can all thank the ota for causing this.

TWframework had to be added for the scroll bar in contacts. Let me know if this works for you all. I'm hoping this framework can be used universally.

Bugs or things you may need to know​
Email logging in is hard to see and the text labels for accounts can't be read. I think everyone is smart enough to know what icon is what, but you can always replace it if needed.
Any other bugs, let me know.
Some apk's such as Calendar may need to be renamed for some people. Check in System/app/ to see what it's called if the flash does not take and rename it in the zip accordingly.

Flashed on a deodexed stock rom and seems to be fine. Got the white on white when in contacts and you click on someone. Also in the messaging app when selecting a background the preview of each background is black.

Google now as well as other Google apps already have blacked out versions around, so there's no point in me spending the time to do it

They aren't device specific. Search teamblackout on google and you should find them

Good news! The call history and favorites has finally been fixed After i get some more text to black (for buttons) then ill change those and probably do an update
