[Q] Tethering ( hotspot)Problems with ZTE V987 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello friends,
I'm Spanish and I tell my story to the V987 (need help):
I received the phone through March, with Chinese Rom and English language have connectivity problems when the ZTE hotspot ago (right side connects to Windows or other android but NO INTERNET, having internet at the same ZTE987. I contact the seller and tells me send it to China again. They star up and say there working properly and sent me back to Spain. When it comes to me, I rip with a new rom that I have gotten (and run the app from Google etc) but tethering still does not work. I install rom Bruno ([ROM] [23.04.2013] ZTE V987 (MT6589) custom ROMs (JB)) but still not working the hotspot. I tasted with operators Movistar, Vodafone and Orange. Occurs to me to try to "Symio" and Bingo works .
The current result is:
********** Work = Simyo, Ono, Yoigo and Tuentimovil.
********** No work = Movistar, Orange and Vodafone.
Note: The operators that work, are Low Cost of the operators that don't work .
do you know anyone, is happening?

I've the same problem. I've tested with many ROMs. I'm going to try whith other apps.
(A mi me pasa igual he probado con varias ROMs, voy a probar con alguna aplicacion externa y te cuento. Un saludo.)

conseguido!!
Primero:HAY QUE SER ROOT
Segundo:
Instala la aplicacion script manager (SM manager)
abrelo y se te abre un explorador de archivos SD
menu/Crear un nuevo script
(ver imagen adjunta)
ponle el nombre tethering_enabled
y ecribe esto:
iptables --flush
iptables -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.43.1/24 -j MASQUERADE -t nat
iptables -A FORWARD -j ACCEPT -i ap0 -o ccmni0
iptables -A FORWARD -j ACCEPT -i ccmni0 -o ap0
sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1
(otra opcion es crear un fichero de texto en el pc con este texto y renombrarlo tethering_enabled.sh y pasarlo a la SD)
Ahora activa el thetering y una vez activo ejecuta ejecuta el tethering_enabled.sh desde el explorador de archivos del SM manager y activa el SU
(ver imagen adjunta)
y ejecutalo y ya me funciona el internet en el pc.
Cada vez que actives el tethering hay que ejecutar el script

Open it and a file explorer will be opened.
menu/Create a new script
(see atached image)
name it tethering_enabled
and write this in the script:
iptables --flush
iptables -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.43.1/24 -j MASQUERADE -t nat
iptables -A FORWARD -j ACCEPT -i ap0 -o ccmni0
iptables -A FORWARD -j ACCEPT -i ccmni0 -o ap0
sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1
(another option is create a txt file in your computer and rename it to tethering_enabled.sh and transfer it to SD)
Now activate tethering and after that execute the file tethering_enabled.sh from the SM manager file explorer. Remember enable SU
(See atached file)
push execute and tethering will start to function.
You need to activate the script each time you activate tethering

this method can be used for wifi tethering too ??
i have the same case usb tethering lil bit slow , and wifi tethering not working..
but on my phone connection goes well..

A guy ("ervius" , all credits to him) in a italian forum solved the problem in his roms, first for jiayu g3 with android 4.1.2 and after for zopo zp810hd with android 4.2.1.
He used a NAT solution.
He also published single fixes to flash in cwm. He says they MIGHT work also in other roms/devices (so BACKUP FIRST)
I can confirm that works in its rom for jiayu G3, but I HAVE NOT INFORMATIONS IF IT WORKS ON OTHER DEVICES
If you'll have many notifications by superuser/supersu app about natting, you can disable notifications in supersu/superuser
For 4.2.1 roms http://www.4shared.com/zip/ScXhZCLw/working_tether_update_v5.html
