Hi guys!
First of all, sorry for my english.
I am looking forward to root my L9, reading this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173465 i found a KDZ related to my L9 version, but it was for a different operator (Personal)
I guess if i flash my L9 with that KDZ, i could lose my network configuration for Movistar, making my phone useless.
What should i do? My bootloader is locked, the Android version is ICS 10a.

You may loose your APN settings. Write them down so that you can enter them after flashing.
You only need to unlock the bootloader if you want to flash a custom ROM.

For rooting the phone I gotta flash a custom ROM? There is no way to do it without touching the BL?

We do not know of any other way to do this.

I dont know if this is the correct section to ask this but it seems that alot of people are experiencing problems trying to unlock their phones with the samsung galaxy s unlock by chainfire while for others it seems to be working just fine. so, is there some way to know if my phone will be compatible with this unlocking procedure ? i prefer this method so as to avoid the patching of the file nv_data.bin. Thanks !

yea i was aware of that method, but that one patches the nv_data.bin file.
the unlock from chaifire simply provides the unlock code, so yeah, i prefer this method.
is there anyway to know if it will work on my device before rooting ?

What's your HW version? Type *#2222# as I told you in your other thread.

okay great, one little thing more and ill start with it...
this will void my warrany, is there any way to re-lock it so i can take it to my carrier, tech support, etc ?
EDIT: it didnt work anyway, a pop up appeared saying unlock code couldnt be found.
i'll try helroz method later, is there any way to re-lock if this method actually works ?
I saw you found another thread for unlock program, replied you there. Also you can try here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064978 as your HW revision is low someone should be able to get you the code.
If you use helroz method then create backup 1st (within the app), so later you can restore to previous state.

Thanks for your reply in the other post, i uploaded my whole efs folder backup, maybe im lucky and someone nice enough can do it for me.
what makes me frustrated is that I have the old HW and still cant get my code :/.

As the title says, is it possible to unlock the P500 via reflashing the firmware or by flashing a custom ROM? I want to get one tonight and it's locked to another network. All help would be appreciated. Thank you!
You need to be on stock to unlock your phone. You can do that by flashing using KDZ or by flashing a stock rom zip file (the latter is easier and safer)

You need stock to unlock. You will need an unlock code. Get one on eBay. Without stock the box won't pop up to enter the code. Trust me. I've done it.

So i had a custom rom on my xgo, also it was obviously rooted. I used to connect it to the usb port all the time to transfer stuff, but today i connected it to my pc and it said it has an update available, so i was like hey i kind of wanted the stock rom to be installed again, so i said sure. The update (obviously) installed stock rom, but more importantly, it removed my root. Why was that, is sony changing their minds on the rooting community?

the update that you did was stock rom? so was it is normal that happens, companies do not like the users have root access because we will can not uninstalled factory apps.

Btw, im having problems with the CWM. i just re-rooted my phone but i can't find a cwm for it! I'm running 4.1.2 jb , 6.2.a.1.100 . Help please.

My M4 rebooted and now when I try to turn it on, the phone don't get into the bootanimation and it restarts constantly, i tried to reflash a new ROM with full wipes but stills equal.
Any solution?????

Hi, i actually managed to fix the problem.
What i did was turn the phone off with the OFF key in sd card slot, after that connect phone to pc, in flashtool select flashmode and i successfully flashed firmware 26.1.a.1.128
I tried to do this almost 5 times and it never works for me, and my way to turning off tge device is holding volume up+power button because that Off button in the SD slot don't works in my case

I have for few days the same bootloop on my m4 . Issue started when wifi not worked suddenly and restarted. I found that if i slightly bend(twist) the phone it will boot and works for some time but doing again the same thing.
I suppose that the phone have something loose inside due to my rear jeans pocket where i keep it and maybe being bent.
The phone is in like new condition, no scratches or cracks.
Today i've send it to waranty service. I hope they'll fix it.
Any solution????
I'm very happy now. I was a little concerned about the warranty since the fw was reflashed by me with a generic one via flashtool. No trouble here.
Phone arrived from service, on repair sheet sais: phone motherboard defective, exchanged with a new one due to out of stock of parts.
Bootloader changed from unlock allow- no to unlock allow-yes and whithout operator simlock, and generic central europe fw, no more vodafone bloatware.

Restore the TA partition as well (If you have backed up before unlocking the bootloader) :good:

I have a Mate 20 Pro with the Bootloader already unlocked. I received it as is, But the previous owner didnt give me the code or tell me how it was unlocked.
Now im worried to factory reset or flash it, as it will wipe the unlock as well.
What are my options now?

Only pay pages like Funkyhuawei but for me it is very expensive and more having free methods to update

Pay Pages as you describe above are to unlock a locked device, isn't it?
Mine is already locked, and I want to preserve it.
Like Read the code from device if there is a way for it.
