Hi, I cant seem to find firmware v151 for my huawei Y300.
Can anyone direct me where I can find it? I tried google but all I can find is v0100.
I just had the phone and ignorantly replaced its firmware from 0151 to 0100. The problem is my 3G signal dropped significantly and camera quality became very bad. Anyone out there who can help me?
i do have the sam e problem cant find stock firmware of Y300-0151, can sum1 direct us to this firmware, i do have a problem with my phone right now..it stuck on boot logo, i can never go to recovery mode.
y300-0151 telstra firmware
Registered to XDA cause i have a problem..
I have the telstra branded y300-0151, been searching on the net for my correct firmware as i rooted the phone the lazy way as per instructions , rooted with locked bootloader. worked fine,
there wasnt much in the way of custom roms for this phone atm, and all i really needed it was for deleteing the bloatware and all the stuff i didnt want.
so had the phone at a working point, then played around with pimp my rom ( an app on play store) and changed something ??, now it just hangs on a black screen after the boot logo, i can get into recovery but all the firmwares ive been trying to flash dont pass forced update part 2,
so im searching for this
HUAWEI_Y300_firmware(Y300-0151,Android 4.1,Emotion_UI,V100R001C451B184,Australia-Telstra,05011NWH).zip
but only asanfile.com have the update supposedly. rang telstra they were no help, and have emailed huawei techs my issue,
am awaiting a reply.
any help, ideas ?
Cheers guys.

Hi there, I have the same issue here with the 3G network...
I have downloaded the file you mentioned and tryed to install into my Huawei Y300-0151 but during the installation, I got the error: "Update failed". I tried twice with no success. Nothing happen then, so I had to get off the battery to start the phone again and it started up with the current firmware.
Someone with the same error? Any suggestions?
Regards,

I have the Bell Version with the 850/1900 WCDMA bands. I can't find this firmware anywhere. I can't seem to be able to download the firmware listed above. I wonder why Huawei would release the phone to a new market and not provide the firmware. I had a blue screen and recovered by flashing the Y300-100 international firmware just released. It wiped by North American 850/1900 bands. If anywone could please post the Y300-151 firmware it would be great! Also I wonder why anyone hasn't created a flashable ZIp which could change the cell radio for the region you are in. Other phones have this available.

Having the the same problem with an american version. Is there any way to restore????????????????:crying:
Same problem here, may God have mercy on our souls.
Please someone give us a light of what we should do... This chinese rom is terrible, I can't even use GApps.
Go too this website http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3 and download the firmware for your correct phone model and country and then flash it with Odin.
Your phone should work 100% again after that :good:

Are you sure your phone is a I9300 and not a I9308, since Galaxy S3 in China have model number i9308 and Hongkongs model is i9300. And ofcouse if you dont want or like the stock firmware for your phone, you can always try out those customs rom here in XDA

You could try a 3 part flash if its available on sammobile.com
jje
I have the I9300 from mainland china as well. The one that boots up with the China unicom logo. I've managed to get everything working by flashing a stock china unicom rom, and then using mobile odin to flash a UK rom. Mobile Odin doesn't replace the bootloader, so even though I can now run stock UK firmwares and even custom roms such as CyanogenMod 9, the phone always boots up with the china unicom logo. Is this an indicator of a locked bootloader? If not, what else is preventing the flash from completing? the Partition Information Table? The CSC? If it's anything else other than the bootloader, then in theory shouldn't it be possible to flash a three part firmware? Repartition, and update the bootloader? I would think that this would result in a successful flash. I myself have not tried this as there is always the inherent risk of hard bricking the phone when playing around with the bootloader and PIT. If there are any more experienced xda members here, it'd be great to know what you think would work in this case.
Another Problem with Chinese Firmware
I appreciate the links. I'm downloading one of the firmware files now. Hope it works.
There's another reason why I don't like the Chinese firmware. The authorities have clumsily sabotaged VPN. If you try to turn on VPN service, the phone instantly crashes, allowing only emergency calls until you do a factory reset. Happened twice before I caught on.

Appreciate the link, and downloaded it. But it contains all the files in a .zip file, and Odin requires a .tar file. How can I convert .zip to .tar, and will Odin work if I do?

I think that zip is for CWM Recovery, so you'll have to get a stock Chinese ROM running first, and then install CWM, turn off signature check and then flash CWM through odin, then you can load the other roms into the SDcard using your computer and flash it through the recovery.
I have not this phone but found some info may be helpful.Goodluck.

That phone is NOT A GENUINE Galaxy S III. It is a chinese knock off, a fake.
This is what gave it away:
- MTK MT6577 1.2GHz processor
No genuine S III device use this processor.
therefore, you do NOT have a real S III device and none of the S III roms will work with your phone.
Besides, since your phone has Android 4.1.5 (sic, according to the page you posted), why the hell do you want an older Android?
If you're in doubt about your phone, use this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alxdroiddev.gs3identity
It will tell you if your phone is real or not.
Still Need rom?

So I have had the THL W3+ (dual core) for months now and I have to admit that it is a great phone. However, I believe that it would run a million times better with Jellybean installed. It comes with ICS and there has been no update released (right?)
So I was wondering if there was any way to get Jellybean on this device. It runs the MTK6577 processor on which Jellybean has been installed on other phone so I don't see why the W3+ hasn't got the update yet.
Thanks in advance!

Thank you, that would be great! I wish I could help but I'm a newbie. I just know the technical jargon.
However, I just stumbled on a result on google in which a customer review said that "since the just new jelly bean update" the phone runs much smoother? I don't even know how to check for an update because I don't have the option under Settings > About Phone.

There's no option to check for update in the phone menus.
The update will be posted on their website http://en.thl.com.cn/Download/Index.html
About the review you came across, I've also seen it before.
Being desperate for jellybean update, I even registered on that website in order to contact the person who made that comment.
But I was dissapointed as the name wasn't clickable despite registration.
Right now, I even doubt that comment cos I've searched extensively for jellybean without success.
Maybe the person doesn't know how to check Android version.

The firmware that came with my phone allowed Viber. And it's the same version on the website. You should click on "w3 dual core version" not "w3 upgrade" as that upgrade is meant for the MT6575 single core version only.
I saw a comment on the firmware talking about G sensor. I think it would fix your problem. it says " Oct. 8, 2012 update: 1. Optimize the shooting effect of rear camera; 2. Improve the compatibility of the G-sensor to solve the problems of some gravity sensor failure; "
Right now I'm using a firmware labeled ThL.w3.121113.6577.COM.EN
I got it from a Russian forum where they claimed it was the latest official firmware (contrary to what I saw in the linkhttp://en.thl.com.cn/Download/Index.html I posted earlier)
Before I recommend a firmware, what version are you running currently?

I'm finding it difficult flashing this ROM since I'm not sure which ZIP file to flash. There are no ZIP files, only RARs. And they include unnecessary stuff like USB VCOM DRIVER
Edit:
I think I will keep this frimware (the one I said I got from needrom). I just flashed gapps so App store works great. I'd love it if you could post when the Jelly Bean update comes out. I believe this phone could be great with a little more support. Jelly Bean would make it so much more smooth!

ok, I assumed you knew how to flash using SP Flash Tool.
Anyway this is the link to the firmware http://yadi.sk/d/pSQ23rqr29rai
It can only be flashed using SP Flash tool. not from recovery as you did with your current ROM.
if you don't know how to use the tool, you might need to wait for jellybean update.
But hey... even if they release jellybean won't it be in the same format as the one you just got from their site?
they even bundled it with sp Flash tool.

Can you help me reinstall this phone's recovery without using recovery mode? Is that possible at all? Because at this point recovery mode keeps flashing purple colours like the screen goes really weird and all I can do is just restart the phone back into the OS. And the latest firmware doesn't have google apps such as the play store so I need to flash those, but without recovery working I can't.

That happened to me too when I flashed a recovery I downloaded.
The latest firmware I flashed overwrote the recovery to the default.
I'm pretty sure the official firmware you downloaded will solve the problem cos it's exactly the same version that shipped with my phone (version; Oct. 8, 2012). Viber and play store worked perfectly.
In case you only want the recovery back, here's how:
to flash a recovery using sp Flash tool.
what you need is an image file called recovery.img and a scatter file.
1. Create a new folder. Preferably in a path without special characters (just to be safe). example C:\User\recovery
2. Locate these two files inside the official firmware you downloaded, and extract them into the created folder.
recovery.img and MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
Switch off your phone and Do not connect phone to PC yet.
3. Run the Flash Tool and click on Scatter-loading and point it to the MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file
4. Only the RECOVERY option should be ticked by now.
5. Click on download then connect your phone using the USB cable.
It would download the recovery image to your phone and show a green circle as sign of completion.
That's it.
EDIT: Don't forget to backup your data
EDIT 2: Since you want to flash the official firmware, it will automatically repair your recovery.
in that case just skip steps 1-2 and start from step 3 above and when you get to step 4, all the options will be ticked.

recovery.img and MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt

Hello,
1. - First point the new rom b120, you can find it here :
EMUI 2.0
http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=63
But also the new EMUI 2.3
2. - For rooting the phone you can install a soft named VROOT "setup VROOT ENGLISH.exe"
You connet with the USB cable the phone and it will make a good job.
3. - As i know till now the only languages for the T20 is English and Chinese, so there is no MULTI LANGUAGE.
Good luck.

Problem with 3g
Hi my friends
I just received the phone,it had 4.2.2 android and 3g (wcdma) worked perfectly.
Unfortunately, the fault is mine,i downloaded a kitkat 4.4.2 firmware of the phone from http://www.needrom.com/download/honor-3x-pro-kk/ without noticing that that rom was suitable only for TD-SDCMA........:crying:
As a consequence the 3g doesnt work any more and when i try to make a call a message appears ''the radio is off''.
I tried in vain to downgrade to 4.2.2 but ''fail''.
Could somebody help me please????Thank you in advance!
Try the version here :
http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=63
make the upgrade, and tell me if the 3g works.

I have a G750-T20 hard bricked, that means: no led, no screen, no nothing
Only sounds on the computer when I connect it without the battery and then disconnect, that means one part is still alive (I think)
Who can help me with a full Rom for this version phone (G750-T20) but in format to use with the Flash Tool to try to revive
Thanks in advance :good:
Sent from my HUAWEI G750-T00 using XDA Free mobile app
Attached images of a clone of G750-T20 ...
Personally I had not seen or had read that these models were imitated, but today they brought me one for service because it is completely dead: HARD BRIKED!!
Apparently they tried to put a G750-T20 stock rom and died ...
Someone had seen these models ??
Any idea where to get software for these clones ??
TWRP recovery.
I built this upon request from another member, but has never revisited the original thread to test whether it works or not, so I have no idea if it does or doesn't.
I asked him to supply me with the stock recovery which he didn't so I have grabbed it from else where.
I don't own this device, so it's up to someone to test and report:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59963360&postcount=8
If the version above doesn''t work please try the one below:
TWRP-286x-n9100
Sorry none of the recoveries will boot up. All of them get stuck at the boot to recovery screen.
Even the stock recovery didnt work. ON another forum I posted the stock recov ery image as well as the modified cwm that would boot but wouldn't flash anything.
I'm using the 5.01 hong kong update from Sammobile for the sm-n9100.
Heres a link to the stock recovery from the firmware.
And this is the modified CWM that boots up but doesn't flash anything.
Hmm.. reminds me, I made a version myself..
Haven't tried it though, but I've successfully made versions for trltexx

Did you use the Hong Kong recovery? It may work now that he has flashed the Hong Kong firmware and bootloader.
I don't know what it is the Chinese do to these devices, but they always seem to cause issues.
I haven't had the time to look at it again, so hopefully your version will work.

It's a TWRP recovery with a modded default.prop/build.prop.. and it is based on the values from the N9100 recovery posted above.
I tried all three and every time it would either not boot or got stuck in a bootloop.

I'm not entirely sure my boss just handed me the phone and asked if I could put gapps on it.
I was going to just use twrp and install them that way, but I just went ahead and manually copied the files over to system.

Oh its a zip file. How am I suppose to flash it if I don't have a working recovery? I thought odin uses tar format?
I guess twrp image is still not available for n9100 and there working root cf-auto for n9100 hong kong version
Hi all
TWRP is working for me
N9100 HK Lollipop firmware.
Found it in a rusian site.
I'm not owner / creator of this method/recovery
I just google, found and it worked for me
0. backup! backup ! backup!
1. flash via Odin any CMW based recovery and reboot
2. flash this kit via odin "Modem, Bootloader, TWRP for v5.x" N9100ZHU1BOC4_Modem_Bootloader_TWRP.tar
3; reboot
voila!
Obviously it's for lollipo so if you don't upgrade to lastest firmware from samsung, don't try it and dont complain
I will not post the link to the site here because the guy in this site is "selling" his custom roms; I disagree with it

Unfortunately it flatly refuses to let me download as it always states my ip range has reached its limit no matter how I try.
Seems my UK ip is just blocked. Proxy servers don't work either.

Sure. For now I've noticed no problems. I'll need to install root to get rid of junk such as weather and Samsung bloat, but other than that, everything works smoothly. Will update in a couple of days

Tested, works fine. Rom runs smoothly, rooted and debloated.
Battery life increased for a couple of offscreen hours.
Great update, the Phone seems to run even better then before, really impressed so far. Multi-Screen and Always-On are missing, tho, installing them manually won't work either. Guess it wasn't feasible with the A3s hardware limitations.
Yeah i think this german Nougat build is much better than marshmallow, very stable, better battery, fluid animations, very nice.. Tell me your opinions?

Extracted the zip, you get a tar.gz file ready to be flashed. I flashed with Odin, had no problems.
Hello and thanks for the ROM. I've ecountered a few issues:
1) MicroSD doesn't load when i turn off the phone, i have to remove it e put it back in again in order to be recognized
2) Apps like Colornote don't stay in memory when the phone is turned off and on again, so many notes saved on the status bar go missing and I have to open the app everytime
3) I can't delete bloatwares like Samsung apps and GApps. I use Link2SD to delete system app but doesn't work with this rom: when I restart the phone the apps are still there.
Hope someone helps me with this.
