Hey there,
I was wondering. Is the 4GB internel storage inside the Xperia U soldered onto the motherboard or is it just an SD card that's mounted internally? My Kobo had an SD that was simply plugged in inside the shell, which could be taken out and replaced with a higher capacity one although it had to be of the same class and speed. Could we do that with the Xperia U?

As you can see on the link, the storage has been soldered to the mainboard (the SanDisk chip)
Well, that sucks. Also, another question:
When we're porting a rom from the Sola to the U, the music apps wont be reading them from the internal storage, but rather directed to the SD card, but U doesnt have an SD card. So, how do you change that?
I don't really know how did you meant that, but in Xperia U, the internal memory has been partitioned and some of the space has been mounted as /sdcard (/mnt/sdcard), so the music apps should recognize it as an SD memory.
what I meant was, I tried porting a ROM from the Sola. But the music and other things don't recognize it because I think it has something to with Sola having an SD slot, so there is some change that need to take place in some .apk
Hey XDA,
I've been doing a lot of searching and trying out apps that might help me, but nothing worked so far.
As of now, enabling the Mass Storage option on my Xperia Sola (CM11 by Munjeni) only mounts my internal SD in windows.
I want it to mount my external SD. It seems to me like this should be as easy as pointing to my external SD instead of internal but I guess it's not.
Anyone got an idea or know which files in the android system hold these kind of settings?
Much appreciated,
Bart

EDIT: Ok guys, I've found the app which lets me mount me external and internal SD card.

It's only for Xperia Sola.
Hiiii guyz...
I have flashed shendu-tipo-v2 on my sony xperia tipo using cmw-v6.
In the beginning my phone used to detect the external sd card but now it doesnt detect it.
When i see the storage folder in my phone i can see only phone and internal storage but no external storage.
I HAVE TRIED FORMATTING THE MEMORY CARD INTO FAT32 FORMAT AND THEN RE-INSERTING IT INTO MY PHONE, BUT ITS OF NO USE.
Still my phone doesnt detect the memory card.
PLEASE ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS.....................................
I Need to disable the external SD card on tablet android 4.2, how?
I don't want anyone who inserts any SD card to be able to copy files from my tablet to this external SD card ( I have 3 software pre-installed on the tablet thru which they can copy files) is there a way not to let SDCard1 be shown??
Any way to do this?? Thank you in advance
I have the MediaPad M5 CMR-W09, and it's rooted. I'm using root explorer to move some files from the internal SD Card to the external one, but I can't find it in this weird sytem. Could someone help with the correct path to the external card?
TIA,
