It's control through the kernel and until the bootloader is unlock they can't really get a full custom kernel. I know there are some kernels out but it's not the same.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

Care to elaborate on how its not the same? All the developers seem to be saying it is the same.
Also, there's a difference between fast charge via USB and fast charge via wall charger. The S4 will not fast charge on all 2A wall chargers and I'd like to know why.

I didn't know that. I just figured if the option is there to enable, it would be enabled.

it doesn't seem like he's saying it's not possible but that there's no reason for fast charge hack since the devices is already asking for more power than usb can output in the first place. at least that's what i get from what he's said.
on other devices i have any "fast charge" hack through pc usb has only gone up to 900mA or .9 amps.

No,
I'm sure it will be more than possible. They just overclocked the Nexus7 to 1.7+ from 1.3 (actually to 2.0Ghz but it's not entirely stable I think). Once we get kernel source and the devs get a chance to work their magic I'll bet it'll be possible. However, there comes a point when enough is enough...and this little breast is more than capable "as is". To much more is overkill for what a cell phone is needed (used) for.

Most surely not directly as is. There will need to be changes or modifications of some kind in order for things to work correctly. The Nexus 4 doesn't havean external sd so won't have code to read one. Ours will need it. The 4 doesn't have native LTE, so their kernel probably is not set up to control that. I'm no kernel developer so I might be off base here...if so, someone please set the record straight. Thanks in advance.

Read sk8erwitskil's kernel thread in Original Development.
1.7 should be more than possible without doing damage and Sk8rwitskil plans on it..actually he's planning on going over 1.7

Can anyone look at the charger's end which is connected to the cell phone and tell me how many "gold pieces" you can see inside it?

But then again I am not using the standard S3 USB data cable. They charge too slowly. So switched to Samsung Duos USB datacable and the charging is in a few hours and to 100%

My experience exactly...the Samsung factory cables for S3 has only 4 gold points, where as the others have 5! I guess that 1 exrtra gold point makes all the difference.

Really? Because, I honestly don't see why you wouldn't be able to like every other phone. Make sure your phone is rooted, have 2 roms, an SD card, and have Bootmanager installed. Then, whoop de do, you have a dual boot.
So you could dual boot TW and AOSP? I've never heard of this, how's it work?

You cant because of the way samsung phones handle the boot partition. Pulled from the bootmanager description.

Which makes me sad I just went and checked the app description... I bought it almost 2 years ago. What about that app that the HTC One had, the Modaco Switch or whatever to switch between sense and pure Google edition.

GE and TW have all the same inner workings. GE isn't AOSP.
So you can't flip from and AOSP ROM to TW.

LS is a CM based Rom isn't it? So Siyah should do the trick, you can increase up to 1200mah and with the right mains adapter you can achieve this.

Its linked in my signature and that also has option to disable. The reason for the low mA is becuase if connection is unstable, it is deemed unsafe. When this is activated, it is either faulty USB cable / Charger or USB port.

If there was no unstable battery or something what will possibly happen to ur phone?
Yes if it detects unstable connection, it restricts mA to 100 automatically. This is a problem if you have faulty usb cable / port or charger

[Q] S4 Developer Edition as a ROM

Given the devices are effectively the same, I would have thought it would be fairly easy to export the ROM and convert the regular S4 to the one I actually want with out buying a new one.
Now since I haven't seen anything I figured I'd post it. What gives?
There's really no ROM difference, as far as I'm aware. Just the Dev edition has an unlocked bootloader...which cannot be exported from that phone to ours.

I dont think the Google Edition will be released on Verizon. GSM phone, which is the main reason its so hard to port for us. Dubbsy and Nitro have pretty excellent ports available now, though.
There's a Google edition ROM that's already out for the Verizon S4. Hell, I'm running it now and its flawless. The only thing not working is the carrier label in the notification shade. Other than that its perfect.
